Lyrics as sung by Washboard Sam (Greg's are slightly different): "Come on in ain't nobody here but me Come on in ain't nobody here but me Sit right down, have some fun My old lady out, on a all night run Come on in ain't nobody here but me Come on in ain't nobody here but me Come on in ain't nobody here but me I'll cook some meat, bake some bread If you get sleepy, there's a great big bed Come on in ain't nobody here but me Come on in ain't nobody here but me Come on in ain't nobody here but me Take this liquor, take this wine Let's get drunk, have a whopping good time Come on in ain't nobody here but me Come on in ain't nobody here but me Come on in ain't nobody here but me You can have some of that, have some of this Have everything, in the doggone flat Come on in ain't nobody here but me Come on in ain't nobody here but me Come on in ain't nobody here but me I'm drunk and disorderly, and I don't care Why don't you put on your underwear Come on in ain't nobody here but me"
Many thanks, James. I wonder whether Washboard Sam got this one from the recording made a little earlier by The Harum Scarums in 1931. It seems that Washboard Sam may have been a half-brother of Big Bill Broonzy and that Broonzy probably played on both records. You can find them on RUclips. It's a basic 16-bar tune. It sounds to me (please correct me, someone, if I'm wrong) that it's played in the key of C minor and that the chords you will need if you want to play it are mostly C minor and G7. As usual, Shaye's playing - the lines she takes when improvising - is exemplary, particularly in her own solo and in those final two ensemble choruses and earlier when she quietly backs Greg's singing from 03:42.
Another foot tapping upload . It would be nice if Tuba Skinny could produced some CD's for fans to buy . Looking forward to next upload . Greetings to everyone from Derbyshire , England .
They have more that a dozen CD's at last count. I don't know how available they are in England. They can be ordered from Tubaskinny.com and from The Louisiana Music Factory. Downloads are available for their web site and from Bandcamp.com/tubaskinny
Wow much thanks James for a new video. Somehow I thought you would upload a new video. Great that they play some new tunes again. This Set you filmed becomes a new favourite of mine. I am sure. Because Molly Reeves is part of the band. In my opinion it is the first time. Best wishes to you. I stay tuned for more. Dave 🫶

Molly Reeves, of Shake Em Up Jazz Band, The New Orleans Jazz Vipers, and many others. Guesting for Max who was unable to be there.
Is that Molly Reeves on 6-string banjo here?
