+Adam Chisholm Totally. Mainly shooting chipmunks which are wreaking havoc on my garden and greenhouse but defense of the rice machine is a real side bonus.
Hi Ben. Im guessing this was dried then parched before the threshing process? Wondering if this machinery was considered worthwhile. Thanks for all you do!
haha I googled rice dehuller after reading about it in your book and this video popped right up. joy. I haven’t finished the book yet but and hoping the possible moschito issue will be talked about @-@
I bought one just like it last weekend at an antique store for $400AUD. Couldn’t find the same brand for sale but found a different brand called nan that looks the same from India for about $850AUD before shipping.
I wonder if there's a way to drive that with a drill or something. it's too bad you can't buy a bunch of em and sell it. I've run into few smallholder and medium holder homestead tools that look so heavy and well built. oh, ps. enjoyed the shirtless. you should do a permaculture calendar :) lol id buy it.
Awesome machine. I also appreciate that Ben is ready to defend the awesome machine from would-be rice bandits. Well played my friend.

+Ben Falk sorry to hear about the chipmunks. I've been doing the same with groundhogs at our place. so frustrating.
Fascinating! Thank you for sharing this video - I've been wondering what this machine looked like since I heard you mention it years ago!
These vids are great! Finished product looks awesome!
Ben ... have you ever used your CeCoCo huller for sunflower seed? Any suggestions for hulling sun seed? Thanks, Geo

I came up with a way to deal with my chipmunk problem its called rat traps baited with peanut butter . Don't have to be there and works like a charm.
