I appreciate you guys for being so truthful with full transparency. One thing you didn't talk about was the sound. An induction system is probably the easiest way to enhance the sound of your engine. Many cat-back systems costing well over $1,000 may not make the 4-5 true hp gain your (well developed) $200 cold air induction system does.
I dyno'd my supercharged JK with a snorkel and K&N drop in filter vs K&N cold air intake. No difference until over 5500 RPM, and then it was like 6hp. Stock intakes with a high flow filter do just great on their own. Though, I can actually hear the Supercharger now which is nice.
Nice honest demonstration of minimal gains. It would have been good to see AFR ratio between both of them and total timing. But stock tune for stock tune the info is good.
Great video, honestly felt naive after u pointed out how some companies compare the lower numbers to the highest numbers after the mod and tune. Y’all will be getting my business for my new 21 rubi
Question - The stock box has a cover on when you tested - limited air flow. The JLT with the hood open had a open box - air available from feed tube and all around filter. More air flow - more horse power. I am not sure this an apple to apple test - you should have covered the JLT air box like when the hood is closed - then see the comparison.
I can't believe no one is making a ECU programmer for these things. Especially the 2.0 turbo with new maps would get a lot more power fairly easy like all other turbo vehicles.
I hate how under powered keeps are I have a gladiator and wish I had at least 50-100 more horsepower it’s silly to have 200 hp when it’s specifically designed to tow
This is the best Comparison i have seen, truthful and explained everything you gained a future costumer!
glad to see just about the only vid with a correct way to measure before and after. Thumb UP!!!
Putting one in my 2023 extreme recon in a week. Always run a CAI stoked to see how the jlt is. Great video very informative

True on both accounts. The kit does give a nice growl under WOT, but none of the annoying sounds I read from full replacement kits
Ohh yeah it sounds like a V6, not like an afraid kitten
Why not change the pipe diameter?
What I like about the mopar intake is that its a bigger tube with the same closed box.
I really respect the way you tested that CAI! GREAT JOB

Great video. Supports what I have been saying for years. These vehicles already do a great job stock.
Some respond better than others for sure.

Please please JLU 2.0 turbo dyno numbers!!!!

The JLT box seals itself against the hood. Not waterproof sealed, but airtight for sure!
So it’s not needed to reset adaptive? Eventually the computer will adjust to the increase of intake?
Correct
Nicely done JLT
Can you talk more about your filters. I wrecken most AM filters dont filter dirt well at all...
We use S&B filters which are the best. Filter testing can be found on their site.

What is that desk fan?
Nicely tested and easy explained!! Tnx

One push back on your testing as good as it was....it doesn’t take into account the filter media you used.
We use S&B filters tested to be the best.
Very informative thank you.
Thanks for watching!
How did you put it in dyno mode?
Thanks for not just saying here's some numbers whadya think.
Cat-back jeep wrangler
I'll believe Gale Banks over the supposed education your giving.
