New Gladiator owner here thanks to your videos, you really helped me decide that the Gladiator was the vehicle I would enjoy most. Everyday I look forwards to seeing what you are up to next. I'm not sure what direction I'll go modifying mine but you've already given me some great ideas. Keep the videos coming and thanks.
The pentastar doesn’t use a MAF sensor, it uses a MAP sensor bolted to the intake plenum to adjust fueling. What you keep referring is the IAT intake air temp sensor. Orientation shouldn’t matter, you probably just didn’t have it plugged in correctly.
I've been using the Volant Cold Air Intake since my first Jeep Wrangler Hardrock. This setup was recommended by a Jeep Dealership that does a lot of high performance add ons. I now own a 2021 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon and still use the Volant Cold Air Intake. I get 17.3 city driving normal. When I get on it I get 15.7. I also stuck with Amsoil Signature Series 0w-20 and presently have 29,700 miles on it. Quiet engine and great response. The Throat sound is also fantastic!!
From what I hear about the stock air filter system is,…There are baffles inside that would prevent water from entering the intake for fording the Gladiator in deep water. That way when you see a Jeep in deep water going up and over above the hood, the engine won’t hydro lock. Jeep Engineers much smarter than myself, figure this shit out, and think of everything. So, I wouldn’t change my air intake. Cost effectively, the amount of horsepower and better fuel mileage is probably so small, that it probably doesn’t matter that much. That way too. You can go to the parts store and have no problem finding a new air filter since it’s stock.
@JS: Keeping mine stock also...but then MOST of my Jeep will stay stock. However, "keepin' it stock" owners may be an "endangered species," so I may ask the gov't for Federal Protection so I don't become extinct. I mean as time goes on, a used STOCK Jeep enters Unicorn territory -- both are exceedingly rare. ;-) Happy Gladiator-ing, -- BR
You right Rob. a lot of people do put them in but not the correct way this is a good video to help people to do it right. another question the bar loop you have on your front bumper and your wife's jeep, do they get in the way when you have to take your grill out. I looks like your wife's one is farther away from the grill. where did you get those I see them for sale but they are close to the grill.
I am just going to get the K&N drop in filter. Jeep already has a cold air intake, notice the opening in the grill - thats like a ram air cold air intake.
I like those little Jeep do you have or know where I could get the Jeep gladiator 80th edition 2021 in blue. Please let me know. Thank you. By the way thanks for the info very good tip
Really want a cold air intake but am afraid of losing my warranty. What's your thoughts on warranty loss with one? Especially engine issues moving forward.
Does a cold intake system void the warranty ? They sell the mopar cold intake system at the dealership but they told me it void the warranty! Does this make any sense at all, it’s a mopar part ! So I called jeep customer care and they said yes it would void the warranty!!!!??? Any modifications done on engine will void the warranty !!! That’s just Stupid!!!

Nope, there is no such thing in the intake.

Wow I didn't know this and just by coincidence installed it that way lol
Yup…easy to reverse😬

Nope, not in the way at all. The loop on mine came with the bumper from Ebay. The wife’s is Mopar👍

Sounds good to me. Always go with what you like👍
Yes, that happens to me. Check engine off now how I fix the problem.

Thanks! I’d just do a search on some site like Autotrader. You can filter by what you want👍
Yea I can’t seem to find an 80th edition. I don’t think they have made it yet. Thank you
G'day Rob,
What are the benefits of installing a cold air intake?
Aesthetics 👍
@@robmotiveplus none,except it lightens your wallet. 😁
Really good to know. Nice video.
Thanks for watching!
What is the best intake for noise?

I put mine in today, how can I tell if it’s correct, the engine seem very hot after a 20 minute drive

I've seen the stated 12.50 horsepower at 4,630 RPM, Have you or anyone on here, noticed the power aside from the sound?
The only place you’d notice that is on a dyno. You can’t “feel” an additional 12.5Hp😬
I pit on a CAI and ended up needing all new lifters and cam shaft in my engine .
Adding a CAI cannot cause those problems.
I thought that was the Air intake temperature?
I installed a cold air intake and now the gladiator only peaks at 3000 rpm. Any thoughts??
Hard to say🤔
CAI more like hot air and water intake...snorkle is colder air and safer...best mpg with stock..sorry
Save money for lockers or trips
