I forgot to mention the Pattern Beauty Mousse in this video. I'd rank it in the same category as Nairobi and you can see that comparison here ruclips.net/video/q5aIAAZFNDI/видео.html
The combination of the Doux's Crazy Sexy Curl foam and Bee Girl custard on top gives longevity and hydration. I put it on wet hair, the water gives my hair added weight.
@@ALove4Me I get under a hooded dryer immediately after I set my curls (no air drying) which reduces the shrinkage. Each section should be saturated with the foam before applying the custard on top. I follow Black Girl Curls, using their wash n go technique for defining my curls.
Came back to this video for a reference because I am about to style my hair in mini twists soon. I am using the miche beauty mousse paired with the bounce curl defining cream! I want something that will give some hold since I plan on wearing the twists for 10 days. Then restyling it again with the same combo! I have to use these products up! Thank you Achia!
Although I have graduated to just using the Doux Mousse Def as my only styler (for everything lol), fav combo is Camille Rose Curl Maker under the Doux Mousse Def. And you can more a less hold/softness based on how much gel you use. Apply to soaking wet hair in the shower.
My favorite for wash and gos is still mousse def. Miche is okay, but I end up having to do a refresh around day 3. I like the CR spiked honey mousse for twists. I recently tried the Treluxe mousse for a wash and go. I used untie the knot under it. It was too soft. I'm going to try it alone the next time. I also get good results with UFD under mousse def or the spiked honey mousse.
Loved these comparisons. Thank you! I’ve only tried the CR spiked honey, doux mousse def, DE and lotta body. Definitely agreed with everything you said
A way to get good moisturizing/conditioned twistout from the doux mousse is to use a leave in other it. The instructions say you dont need anything under it, but i find its not accurate and i get the best feeling and moisturized twist out with a leave in under, can try a liquid leavein first.
We have similar hair textures and Design Essentials is my go to for my twists. My hair loves it. I don’t do wash & go’s much but that is due to me not knowing how to do them correctly. Maybe in 2023 that will be my one goal to learn.
Okay, so I have the d o u x and I think I purchase Nairobi but I can't find it. So I'm gathering if you want hold you need to use one of those that I have. I guess I have the experiment some. Thanks for the summary!
Ooo I gotta try the double cast thing 🤔 Thanks for the breakdown, the only mousse here that I've tried is design essentials but I've been curious about mousse def
I loveeee mousse for my wash and go. The drying time is what gets me, the fact I can have my hair done the same day and diffused dry within 17-20 mins, I just cant go back to gel lol. I've tried many but my top three are Mielle Pomegranate and Honey, The Doux, and Camille Rose. The Mielle is my fav, for me its a perfect inbetween of The Doux and Camille, it has slightly less hold than the Doux and slightly less moisture than Camille. I like Camille if I want a fluffier look and the Doux I only use on top of another mousse but applied in four big sections if I want extra extraa hold lol, don't really like it on its own. I'm enjoying your mousse/foam videos! No one really goes into detail and compares them like you do. Now you've got me eyeing that Miche mousse... 👁👄👁
My favorite mouse right now is Evolvh InstaVolume Volumizing Mousse. I typically pair it with UFD. I can get about 3 to 4 days with that combo. If I apply Jello shot on top of that combo I can get 7 to 10 days. I really did like Giovanni mousse and Be Kekoa Be Free Rose Water Mousse. While I do love these as well but unfortunately they contain a few ingredients that irritate my scalp which are PVP and decyl glucoside. With that being said I haven't tried any of those other Mousse since I believe they contain the above ingredients I mentioned.
My favorite is the Deff. I use it more during the summer since I don’t need any leave in or gel. It leaves my hair bouncy, voluminous, and moisturized. The only downside is that my hair only lasts one day. 😢
Since I predominantly do wash and go’s I do not find that foam/mousse is good for that because I get no longevity out of my wash and go. What I do like about a Mousse especially Miche is it’s great for refreshing. I do like Camille Rose mousse and Pattern as well.
@@dimples7162 I wet my hair then use the Miche leave-in/refreshing spray, then scrunch in their mousse and diffuse. Comes out good and extends my wng until next wash day.
@@rhondadenis3469 I have tried a mousse wng more than once but gel still gives me more longevity than mousse. Oh I definitely dry under a hooded dryer.
This was great!!! I just discovered the texture id foam...where would you place that in your lineup? I got it on your recommendation from a fee yrs ago, I think...been watching you a long time😁 I really like it so far!
Back to report that I tried the double casting with the Pattern Beauty mousse. It's crispy (on me). Definitely will last. Thanks for you and Mo for the tip!
I love mousse def as well . However my hair feels dry by the 2nd day. I do deep condition with heat. So I was wondering if a reverse wash n go will work with this. First mous and then leave in on top. What do you think?

Sounds like a lot of humectant. How is the shrinkage with that combo?

Thank you for comparing the mousses!!!! Love the details you gave about when to use which mousse, time of year, shrinkage, etc.
Thanks for watching

I do enjoy Curl Maker too
Seems as though I read that the d o u x moose could be used for straight styles? Do you know how that is done? Happy new year!
Do you get any flakes ?
@@BrittanyH1119 with the doux alone, no but the curl maker will flake if you use too much and not enough water.
I love that you rank slip. Its one of the biggest deciding factors for me because I hate difficult hair styling sessions.

You're review of the Mousses was excellent! ❤ Very informative 👏🏾

I love/hate shingling! It gives great results! 🤷🏾♀️

I can always count on your channel to have extensive research on deck! Love it❤

Thank you for doing this video. I’m going to try the Miche . I live in a really humid climate so I need the hold.
Let me know your results!

I have used mielle organics pomegranate mousse for wash n go. I loved the results. I didn't particularly care for the mousse by pattern

It’s gets better over time. I used to use gel , but I’m obsessed with mouse wash and goes. Definitely set it under a hooded dryer for best results.
How do you refresh?
I like Mousse over gel, more on that in the new year

Wow. Very informative. I am just getting into styling foams and mousse and this was helpful
Thanks for watching!
Yay I think I requested thus🥹🥳❤️❤️
I know, right. I did too!
The only mousse I've used is Mousse Def. I've only used it for a WnG either alone or on top of UFD Curly Magic.
Thanks for sharing
I prefer mousse def for twist outs and crazy sexy curl and Miche for wash n gos. I'll have to try the double casting. What a great idea!
Let me know your thoughts once you do!
I actually tried it last week and I really liked the results! I’ll be doing it again so thanks for the tip 😍

It's more like Pattern Mousse
Does the new trelux mousse interest you at all? People are raving about it! Patterns mousse is getting good reviews too.
I love the Treluxe Mousse it was worth the splurge on my No buy ….
I do plan to try it
Do you have examples of leave ins with hold?
Check out this video ruclips.net/video/5U4kThkcQY0/видео.html
I know this is off topic but what do you pair the uncle funky's daughter gel with for no white product residue? 💕
I like to pair UFD with Ecoslay Jello Shot. It does not leave a white residue.
I use Paul Mitchell The Conditioner under UFDCM
Back to report that I tried the double casting with the Pattern Beauty mousse. It's crispy (on me). Definitely will last. Thanks for you and Mo for the tip!
Thanks for the update
Treluxe dropped a new hair mousse please post your feelings if you are planning to try it
I did acquire it, so stay tuned
Happy holidays 💋💋

Worth a try
I love the Aunt Jackie's mousse. Please try that one, would like to hear how you feel about it.
Tkanx and what about mielle mousse curly?
Haven't tried it
Have you tried Verb Curl Forming Gel?
Nope
The Nairobi mousse is horrible for wash n goes, I like the Camille rose and mos def
