Today I kick-off a Showcase for Frostpunk: The Board Game created by Adam Kwapiński with art by Agnieszka Dabrowiecka and published by Glass Cannon Unplugged. In this video I'll take you through all the steps required to get the game to the table for your first game of Frostpunk: The Board Game using the rulebooks 'A New Home: Crater' scenario. Hope this helps you get the game to the table faster and stay tuned as we head into solo gameplay in the future. Enjoy! ;D *FYI: 3:19: You stop revealing starting wall tiles (tokens) when you get the third deposit. No setup impact here. 9:36: The Factory tile and the pre-printed Generator tile are different. The Factory allows production of Automatons, whereas the pre-printed Generator tile allows removal of stress cubes from the generator stress track. No setup impact here. 12:47 I misspoke and said to 'shuffle' the Law Consequence' deck. Don't shuffle it, just flip it face down as I showed here. No setup impact here. 14:50 The Heat Marker is on the overheated side of the token. Simply flip the token over to the 'normal' side represented by a flame icon. Corrected for next video. 18:04 The second scenario marker should be on 11. This will be corrected in Part #2 of gameplay with no gameplay impact.* *Frostpunk: The Board Game Kickstarter Preview (TableTop Simulator): **ruclips.net/video/PEIPQnsXMa0/видео.html* Intro 0:00 Overview 1:05 How To Setup 'A New Home: Crater' Scenario 2:08 Conclusion 19:19 Patreon Rolling Solo Producers 19:39 "In Frostpunk: The Board Game, up to four players will take on the role of leaders of a small colony of survivors in a post-apocalyptic world that was hit by a severe ice age. So excited to finally see this video hit your channel! This was an excellent demonstration of how to set up the game and we hope that everyone will benefit from seeing this carried out so efficiently.
Hey Natalia! Thanks for watching. This video will aid in finding the right components and setup. It might look complex but the game is very logical in it's design to me. Cheers!
Finding the law consequence cards took me forever as it is not very Clear in the rulebook and it doesn’t say law consequence on the cards. Until I watched your video . Thnx!
Just from this set-up video I'm already eagerly waiting to watch you play. I've a feeling this is yet another game you're going to convince me to buy, you produce some of the best gaming videos but I'm not sure my wallet agrees with me.
Hi Anthony! Thanks so much for the kinds words. Happy to get the board game community rolling with this one. Should be a tough one for me to survive for sure. Winning this game is super satisfying though! ;p
The Generator on the generator tile can be used to remove stress from the generator and also other abilities listed for that building. The other is a platform which focuses on putting laws in place primarily.
I would love to buy this as i really enjoy This War Of Mine(made also by 11 bit) even though i have yet to beat it after 3 playthroughs, BUT this seems a little more heavy on component and have a LOT more table presence which scares me a little bit. A lot of gears in this machine(no pun intended)
Thanks for the video. minor point... When you're doing the Hope/Disconntent setup you say/do 2/2 for both but Society I norm is 2/1 discontent. Is this linked to active/not active?
Hey! You’ll see around 11:20 that hope is setup as 2/2. 2 tokens, 2 active. Discontent is 2/1. 2 tokens and one active. This is how Scenario 1 is setup. Thanks for watching!
At about 3 1/2 minutes the 7 corner tokens are distributed to the 6 corners (wiht a left over). In the rulebook the tokens are distributed until three show resources. Am I missing something other than general coginitive incline?
Hey! Take a look at the pinned comment for that one. Basically you pick a corner and keep placing and revealing the starting wall tiles (tokens) until you have three total deposits. Then you can stop placing and revealing and move on. Blank ones up to that point are discarded and all your left with is three corners with deposits.
Rob! Wish I had of seen you at PAXU this year. I'm hoping to make Gen Con this year. Would be great to connect in person again. I've got a gameplay landing in the very near future which should get you rolling.

You’re truly welcome! 😄
Excellent video. Thanks
You’re welcome Earl! See you around. 😄
At 9:40 you state the Generator Tile has a factory already on it. I am not so sure about this. Can you elaborate?
The Generator on the generator tile can be used to remove stress from the generator and also other abilities listed for that building. The other is a platform which focuses on putting laws in place primarily.

TWoM is an amazing game. Highly recommend it. Frostpunk is heavier in terms of setup and playtime but it's great and the gameplay is well designed!
Thank you! - Nathan
You’re welcome!
saw your token bowls a few times..... where you got them, they are nice ? 😊
