This new series of mowers are compatible with the Ventrac 4500 tractors and includes the MS720, MT720, MS600 and MU720 models. These models come in widths from 60” to 72” with options for side and rear discharge, along with an offset version.
Ventrac is very well known for their finish decks and how well they perform. Based on their experience with past mowing decks, they have incorporated the best features and put them into the new decks, along with some additional features based on customer feedback.
Many game-changing features have been made to this new series of decks, starting with the most important part of any deck - the deck shell. Much time has been spent to create an ultra-smooth shell to help prevent grass buildup and for easier cleanup. A deeper shell, with a larger discharge opening improves airflow and cut quality. A rubber discharge chute is easy on landscape and will not dent like steel. Multiple anti-scalp rollers have been added to the deck to help protect the turf.
High strength steel is used for exceptional abrasion and impact resistance. On the carrier frame, more features have been designed into the new decks for extra strength and durability, like the tougher re-engineered spindle design. Strengthened rear roller mounts also help to support the weight of the deck for long lasting durability. The rear striping roller is larger in diameter for a smoother ride, increased bearing life and bolder, more pronounced stripes.
One of the more notable options for the decks is the new hydraulic flip-up kit. With this kit installed, you can flip the mower deck up by using the SDLA operator controls, making it effortless to clean the underside. A new tool-free belt tensioner design also makes maintenance fast and easy. The easy one-lever height adjustment allows users to set a wide range of cutting heights in ¼” increments.
The 72” off-set deck is offset six inches to the left making it optimal for trimming around obstacles like fence rows, low hanging trees and water landscape. All the side discharge decks come standard with high-lift blades, and low-lift, mulching and gator blades are also available to fit customer’s needs. All rear discharge decks come standard with low-lift blades, but other options include high-lift, mulching and gator blades for those as well.
Other options for these new decks include flat-free tires, a mulching kit and collection boots for use with the Ventrac Vacuum Collection System.
All these design elements will ensure that you are getting exactly what you would expect from Ventrac - the best mower deck you can buy.

Love their new products. The great improvement of the caster bearings, no baffles inside to catch grass and build up. A great deck for easy mowing of all lengths of grass.

Now that spring is around the corner I think I'm going to get rid of my Steiner deck and replace it with this one. I have heard nothing but good things about these decks. I like how the listen to there customers And built a deck around that. Can't wait to get mine.

Think it's time for one this year
Dang, I knew I bought my deck too soon. Everything you've mentioned has addressed everything I disliked about my current deck. I wonder if I could get a good trade in value from my ventrac dealer for mine if I upgrade. I really like the deck lift since I wash mine after I mow and it always is a pain to lift by hand.

What is the smalles deck they make and do they have a mulch kit for all size decks ?

I have been considering getting A new deck And was thinking of getting A Ventrac one this time. Really like that hydraulic lift option. Will that lift option work on A 430?
Aaron Graber I didn't give any thought to the aux lift, Not sure how much A 430 puts out. Going to go check them out this spring. I have to say I am pretty impressed with the new features on the mower decks, Glad to see you never stop improving.
When it comes to rear discharge are all the decks the same but with a cover plate over the side discharge?
Rear discharge is a different deck. We do offer mulch kits with side block-off for the side discharge decks so they can be converted to mulching.
@@ventrac what I was trying to figure out is if you have the rear discharge deck can the vacuum system work with it?
@@TCSkiFilms Nope... The vac system will only work with side discharge.
I have a question about the rear discharge does it put it in rows or put it back into the grass?
This is quite dependent on how much grass is being cut off. If only a short amount, it will disappear into the grass almost immediately. If taking off a couple inches, it will tend to lay on top for a little bit until it dries out some and falls into the grass. If it lays on top, it is basically the width of the deck and spread out evenly enough that it doesn't really look like a "row" of cut grass.
What’s the purpose of the gator blades?
They're regarded as being extra capable for mulching and bagging. They work really well for some people with varying grass types. It's all operator preference.
