    These decks come in 60-inch side discharge 72-inch side and rear discharge and a 72-inch offset model for better trim ability we also have mulch kits available as well as a hydraulic easy lift option. The main features of these decks are that they have a 5-inch deep deck shell it's also smooth on the underside so that it collects less grass and it maintains a consistent cut. They also have 5-inch steel rear rollers to provide the best stripe possible a single lever height adjustment system for ease of adjustment and an offset front left caster wheel for better trim ability. Lastly the entire deck is a fully welded steel structure with select components being high-strength steel for added long-term durability. First of all with the deck out front the operator has better visibility they can see the corners of the deck so they can maneuver around things easier. The deck also floats independently of the tractor to follow the contours of the ground better and ultimately provide a better product. The third key component is serviceability having the deck out front of the tractor makes easy to flip up and service. Lastly with the deck in front of the tractor it's a very simple process to change from the mower deck to a number of different attachments to connect to these finished decks all you have to do is connect the hitch arms and the PTO belt. If it has the optional hydraulic lift kit then you would also connect those hydraulic lines to the auxiliary circuit on the tractor. When connecting to the deck you want to make sure the cut height is in position number 18 this will have the hitch arms at the proper height to make it easier to drive the tractor into the attachment. On the left side of the deck, you'll see the cut height adjustment. It's a single lever, and it's super easy to do. You simply pull out, select the position, and once you've selected the position, you pull up and lay the lever back down. The sticker here has numbers 1-18 and they each have a corresponding cut height. On this chart here, it will tell you what those values actually mean. The cut height is adjustable from 1-5 inches. So setting number 1 is a 1-inch cut height, and setting number 18 is a 5-inch cut height. Those are quarter inch adjustments. The first 3 which are eighth-inch adjustments. To attach and detach from the mower deck you want to you want to set the cut height to the number 18 position. Now we'll take a look inside the deck to show the position of some components. With the hood up you'll have access to check and inspect the main drive belt it also gives you access to the lever that releases drive belt tension right here. You'll release this lever to either flip the deck up manually or to use your hydraulic flip-up kit. The process to flip the deck up is the same initially remove the pin from the drive belt tension and release the lever. Then you release the left and right lockout pins. Next, you'll start the tractor and raise the deck with the SDLA to the highest position. After that if you have the hydraulic flip up kit you simply use the auxiliary lever on the SDLA to flip up the deck. If you're flipping the deck manually you'll go to the front and lift the deck and after that place the safety pins back in. As you can see, once you're in this position you have access to the underside of the deck. You'll also see some mounting holes in the baffles. This is where the mulch kit mounts to. To lower the deck back down simply reverse the steps. Also, make sure you replace the pin before you use the deck of the next time. There are three anti-scalp rollers across the front of the deck. If the cut height is two inches or higher, you want the position of these rollers to be in the lower hole. If it's 1 and 3/4 inches or lower, you want the position in the upper hole. When operating these mower decks, you'll want to always have the SDLA lever in the float position. This allows the mower deck to have constant contact with the ground. With weight transfer on maximum, you'll have the most traction possible.

    My dad bought onefpr his company a long time ago, and bought a brand new one (the newest) and is selling the old and buying a new, I love to cut the 8 acres and these are really smooth. I give this machine and the deck in this video a ten out of ten and I'm only 11. This machine is very kid friendly lol

    So with the 4000 series tractors is it due to the horsepower and hydraulic configuration that doesn’t allow the 4000 series to use attachments from other ventrac tractors that are smaller.

    • @ventrac
      @ventrac  6 лет назад +1

      The belt orientation is different on each line of attachments. The 3400 has a horizontal belt due to the layout of the machine while the 4500 has a vertical belt. This is why non-PTO powered attachments like blades, buckets, etc. are universal. The SSV uses entirely different hitch arms to best work with that size and type of unit.

    You said that since the VENTRAC bends in the middle, it doesn't tear up the turf like other mowers. Actually, the VENTRAC's outer wheels must spin faster than the inside wheels even if it does bend in the middle. I have seen TTWT driving through the woods in a straight line with the tough cut mower on and the one front wheels started to spin. How exactly is this a true full time 4WD if this happened?

    • @ventrac
      @ventrac  3 года назад +1

      There's no differential lock so it's possible to break traction on one corner and experience different wheel speed than the other side of the axle. That's part of why it doesn't tear up turf. The outer wheels don't spin any "faster" than the inner wheels because they're on the same axle. The distance covered by the outer wheel compared to the inner wheel is slightly different, but that doesn't cause any turf disturbance between the two. The right comparison to make is the difference between BOTH outer wheels on one side (or between both inner wheels).

    Why do you use aluminium spindles and not cast-iron ones?

    • @ventrac
      @ventrac  5 лет назад +1

      Good question. We use whatever spindles are the best balance of weight, strength, and durability for each individual deck design. More than the material of the spindle, we're concerned with the size and type of bearings, shaft size, overall dimensions, etc. because all of those things make more of an impact on how well-suited the spindle is than just the material alone.

      Luke Bergey then your not driving a Ventrac

    • @ventrac
      @ventrac  6 лет назад

      That's odd. Make sure the deck is level (adjustment procedure is in your manual if you need it). Also make sure that all the blades are straight and maintain a consistent height relative to the ground through their whole rotation. If you're still noticing something wrong, feel free to contact our service department and they can talk you through everything to look at. 330-683-0075 is the direct line here.

      As far as not striping well, make sure your weight transfer is completely off for maximum striping effect.

    I have one and belts break all the time. Worst purchase ever

    • @ventrac
      @ventrac  3 года назад

      Make sure you're using OEM Ventrac belts. We have custom spec'd belts for our machines that must be used for good longevity. We hear of people all the time buying cheap replacements from auto parts stores that barely last days or weeks. If the proper OEM belt is used and the machine is also used properly, belts should last a very long time.
