I have been watching most of your clips and I think you created by far the closest to the original production in terms of the right sound and also not skipping some background unnoticed whether a simple bass or note, the actual sound that was in the original production but it still lack of the punch, for instant this piece the aggressive drum beat is missing still a good job. Hopefully get to see you bring out more retro music. It could be youtube music compressed the sound hopefully you will upload to spotify.
@@miaobinhuang2315 Thanks. Yes, drums are always very tricky to replicate closely. I do my best, but always learning. Sometimes I make a creative decision to have things sound a bit different, but I always strive for musical accuracy. New track dropping in a couple of days 😁
I have to say, I like this cover more than the Flashdance Love Theme, nice little arpeggios there and I like the sound of the MPK at 00.32. What did you use for this sound? Great cover again Julian :)
Thanks Ge0. 😀 The sound at 0:32 was tricky to make.... I had about 5 versions before I settled on this one. Its a mix of 2 sounds, one is a kind of raspy piano patch in Nexus, and the other is a synth lead on the Roland Jupiter 8 VST. I just kept tweaking the balance between them until I liked the result. Its my OCD at work LOL !
@@juliancroot well, it's probably that attention to detail that makes all the difference in your covers. This one definitely stands out. Any ideas for your next project? I currently at editing stage for another Moby track, then a video to make so it'll hopefully be out within a week.
