All of these girls (and eventually boys) play fantastic...(As I told once, hearing them playing is to me a true delight, because when you know well the symphonic works they play transcribed to piano four hands, you'll hear absolutely no difference between their playing and the same work played by an 80 musicians symphony orchestra.) We must remember the transcriptions were not made by the pianists; they simply play what's written in the score. The arrangments are usually made by the composers of the works themselves (Brahms, Dvorak, Smetana, etc), and the composers never forget to include certain melodic phrasings that are important in the composition; they are played eventually by a trumpet, or a clarinet or other instrument. If you didn't like what you've heard, you don't like symphonic music played by piano four hands. Hear it no more.
I would like to hear them playing Mahler's 6th (transcribed by Zemlinsky) or 7th (transcribed by Casella), # 1 and 2 (both by Bruno Walter), or even Bruckner's 3rd (transcribed by Mahler). Happy are they, who live in Japan, and have the chance to hear them live, playing, p.ex., Rachmaninov's 2nd Symphony.
    Hail to Kakunoclass...

I just came across this video recently and I had to say - amazing job! At the same time, I must note that while the Steinway D is a capable concert-grand, it isn't enough of an instrument, especially in the 4th movement where some of the fortississimos were lacking.

Bravo! Could you tell me who publishes this score or where you found it? I would like to program this piece but cannot find this arrangement by Ulrich. Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you.

Such clarity of counterpoint in the final movement. What a great idea. "Shie Shie"!

Played like a pianist, but I dont hear the different Instruments that wouldve played in the orchestra. Thus the performance this doesnt sound too musical and played lifeless..
ofc these ppl are very good, but the performance couldve been better.
