- A Tutorial on How to make a Touch alarm / Touch sensor circuit that latches the output whenever our skin (finger) or any object with negative charge gets in contact with a touch wire. An explanation of how this circuit works is also included in this video.

Components required:
* 555 Timer IC
* BC547 (You can use any npn transistor)
* A buzzer
* LED
* Momentary Push Button Switch
* Resistors 1 x 10K, 1 x (The series resistor for LED's)
* Breadboard
* Few Breadboard Connectors
* (5-12)V of DC power supply

Is there a way if the theft using gloves it be such sensitive to detect touch? The body has electromagnetic field.

The circuit was working earlier, but I had to put in the transistor backwards for it (collector connected where the emitter is meant to be, and vice versa). However, now it is working but the circuit activated immediately after connecting the battery, and the pushbutton is resetting the circuit is expected. Touching the wire seems to do nothing, unlike earlier.
I have already checked the circuit several times and switched the transistor back and forth. I did not change anything, it was simply stored in a drawer in my room.
The LEDs stop working quickly, and I’ve had to replace it many times (I’m using the correct value for the resistor connected to LED).
Which principal are used here monostable multivibrator ,astable multivibrator or schmitt tiger..

You mean the resistor used for the LED? It's 220R
Alright I made the circuit but it won't shut up and isn't obviously touch sensitive what now
Sir my led goes off only on holding the switch and gets on when on when I release it and buzzer constantly beeps. Plz help
Try using a DC power source from batteries if you are currently powering the circuit from a AC-DC adapter. Next try removing the push button switch and manually apply +ve voltage at Pin-6. If it works now, the switch connections might be incorrect. Also the circuit is sensitive to AC sources if they are very near.

Because of induced electrostatic charge. It works similar to how two plates accumulate charges of opposite polarity in a capacitor

He says to connect pin 4 to negative rail but connects the 8 th pin to the negative rail...
Both the Pins 4 & 8 are connected to each other. So connecting either of the pins to negative rail will do
