This game is actually very unique. Even though it's not a total randomized procedural story, The main story generated for gameplay comprises "storylets", or a series of short stories that tie into the overall main random storyline. You can tell who wrote these short stories, or sections above in the main screen just above the comic section where the title of said storyline is along with the author. I would like to see actual AI writing go into making a procedural story from the ground up without the help of short stories and control every interaction the story provides.
I've ground through so many generic campaigns that I am now playing on Walking Lunch overland / Adventurer combat difficulty. I got to the point where I kept blitzing through so many areas and running out of LPs that I kicked it up to Walking Lunch, just to force the Incursions to spawn faster.
It might be the difficulty that you're on, but try to keep your team together, taking advantage of the adjacency bonus that decreases damage taken by 1. Also try to attack from one side and flank the enemy for a higher chance to hit and additional damage.
This game is lo-key, but outstanding! Glad to see it has so many other folks who appreciated it.
Your the first channel I’ve seen that seems to have played/is playing every campaign! So I look forward to watching through this!!
Haha, you might be right, it's one of my favorite games that I've been playing since the beginning of Early Access!
