Love your channel love your technique. I make mittens for a holiday hat and mitten drive every year. I love these mittens. The thumb can be tricky. This really helps.
Your voice reminds me of a machine knitter you tuber named Susie. I miss her
well done you I'm happy my pattern will come in useful for your mitten drive. Suzie must be a fellow Welshy. Some people just stop producing content for whatever reason.
Those are gorgeous. I'm not sure I am good enough as a beginner, but I am sure I am going to try .

Thank you 😀
When I do my thumb regular hand knitting I do a I cord thumb I bring the working yarn to back so it has ladders on the back so when I attach the thumb I use a crochet hook and pick up the bars to attach the thumb to mitt.I top to close.I was thinking if can make the thumb on the machine and drop the second stitch and 2nd to last I will have the bars and would be easy to join
I'm not brilliant at crochet, but it def sounds like you have a plan
I did 28 rows of pattern and it ended up very very long - what did I do wrong?
Need to explain NOT to use tight tension
Check 4:37 where I stress that point
