Hello friends, thank you very much for your pleasant experiences in Vietnam, I am the owner of Bin cafe, very happy to receive positive feedbacks about coconut coffee, wish you all good health and more good experiences in your travel ❤❤❤
Hello 👋 We luv your coffee and already can't wait to come back someday. District 2 is so much fun. We stayed just right down the alley road by your coffee shop - Trevor
Go on the food tour in each of the city if you're not familiar with the food. "Chase and Shelbs" showed a great video from the waterpark in Phu Quoc (also amazing food tour in HCMC and great restaurant in Hue), "2Passports 1Dream" had a great video from Da Lat, "Alright Anton!" shows great drone footage from Hue and Ninh Binh, etc. If you go to Hoi An, "Steph and Shelbs" found an awesome food tour there and MomDuty used "Jack Tran Tours" for doing stuff around the area that looked so cool. And in Hanoi, MomDuty and "Flora and Note" had awesome food guides there. If you're adventurous, go caving in Phong Nha, do the mud bath and canyoning in Nha Trang, etc.
I lived in district 2/Thao Dien for 3 years from 2019 to 2022......literally had my tears when I saw you guys walking down that area...so many memories and I miss it so much
Saigon was the first place I rode a motorbike!! I drove out to the Cu Chi tunnels and it was awesome. The traffic is crazy but you just have to literally go with the flow!! Some random family sheltered us when we got caught in a downpour out in the countryside. They were so so kind. Happy Travels
Just like food there, helmets in Commie Vietnam don't pass safety tests, unfortunately. That's one of the reasons traffic deaths there top the list in the region.
Welcome to my city! I am a Viet-American and also a travel/food RUclipsr. I was born there and relocated to the US a while ago. Your vlogs are so great with relaxing presentation. I'm your newest follower, haha. Have a wonderful time in Saigon! Check out my Vietnam videos when you have time to relax. I was in Vietnam last year and travelled from North to South filming the whole thing. Hope you enjoy it. Cheers!
Try cơm tấm bà ghiền (broken rice with porkchop), bò lá lốt (grilled beef inside the betel leaves), $100 phở and bánh mì, spicy beef noodle, and more. Go to Phú Quốc Island and explore these caves between the central-North... There is so much more to explore, guys. Have fun!
Nice. Glad you guys are open to stay in Vietnam for an extended time. I was born in Saigon and left as a toddler to the states. Been in the states for over 40 years now. Would love to go back and visit Vietnam. You guys should check out Max McFarlin's videos. He has been living in Saigon for over 3 years I think. He actually speaks good southern Vietnamese now.
Tip for crossing street in Vietnam: Many tourist foreigners scared of traffic in VN . Don’t worry about it! The rule to win this fear is keep routin slowly walking when you across the streams of motobike! motor-bykers knows how to avoid you themself in chaos-order! remmember do not run and stop suddently , accident immidiatly ! Don’t be affraid off and do it if you want to be safety in the crazy- traffic in Vietnam.
Great to see you guys in Ho Chih Minh City! Yes, that place has the most hectic traffic I had ever seen. I was there in 2009. Scooters everywhere and people even rode on the sidewalks if they were impatient! I almost got hit while looking at fruit in a market! Couldn't get away from them! Hopefully you can try some 333 beers! 🍺
Thank you for sharing this interesting video of HoChiMinh city. I was born here. Now I live in Canada 🇨🇦. I am Vietnamese who moved to Canada 30 years ago. I miss Vietnam 🇻🇳.
We loved Ho Chi Minh City when we visited a few years ago! It's so nice to watch your video and see all the familiar places. The hardest part is crossing the street there. Hope you went to the Cafe Apartment on Nguyen Hue Street! We've been in Da Nang for January, but heading back to Bangkok tomorrow. Cheers :)
Travel is a wonderful experience, for sure! Enjoy your time there. Re: religion... just because a large percentage do not have a religion, does not mean they are atheists, they just do not go to church or practice the Buddhist way, etc. They just don't do anything. Some are atheists, certainly, but not all. Happy to know that there are more and more Christians there.
We were already so excited for our trip to Vietnam in a few weeks but now we're even more excited after watching your video! Can't wait to try the coconut coffee, it looks delicious!
Good morning Anna and Trevor, from one of your original fans and a fellow Canadian🇨🇦. A belated Happy New Year!! Your video's are fabulous; you're great at filming, editing and your topics are always interesting and frequently educational. I'm happy to see you back in Vietnam. I love the idea of a book street and the narrow streets remind me of streets throughout Italy. See you next week, much love! xoxo
There is one thing you should know about banh mi and any food. Please, listen to no one. Try it yourself. No review, no feedback, nothing. A perfect food in Vietnam could be found anywhere not just in a luxury place. And banh mi could have a difference taste in a difference place, so try as much as you can and find yourself the best one.
Wow when I saw your video popped up I thought it was an old video from last year, so refreshing to see you guys in Vietnam again . The expats stay in district 2 and 7, district 7 was a planned urban area with lots of parks, almost like Irvine California, give it a visit if you still in Vietnam.
Hey guys! Sorry, I’m a few videos behind, but I really want to be able to pay attention to your videos when I watch them. I’m trying to find a place to go this year and I was exploring Thailand as an idea…but oh man Vietnam looks amazing. I actually think that coffee sold me lol 😬 I want that so bad!
How's the weather? You mentioned humidity ...we are long range planning to visit Vietnam but were thinking we'd stick with Hanoi and the north but you've piqued my interest in HCMC. (Hi from Halifax where it's -2c!) Also Anna, another YA fan...have you tried Kevin Sands' Blackthorn Key series? Set in London 1660's, really great characters, plot, and author is Canadian!
It's humid here for sure but most places are honestly. You get used to it quickly. You can go wrong with Hanoi or this city honestly. I've not tried that series but I'll look it up. Thanks! 🤗 - Anna
You guys should go to District 7 to try different vibe of Saigon, it’s more like the modern of District 1 and the greenery of District 2 combined altogether ❤
Whats the adress of the trendy neighbourhood where you where going for craft beer? I'm revisiting Ho Chi Minh in a few weeks but have never been to district 2. Any tips are welcomed if you have for any great beer and food places with western style to it. Thanks!
Congrats to Vietnam. I herd it closed [ not sure ] there was a funky McDonalds next to that post office. Delicious Banh Mi [ pork for me ] Absolutely love breweries, almost no 1 films them in Vietnam and never could understand why. Great job and great video.
South Vietnam people's we are still love to call Sài Gòn City that name is in our hearts 💕 And other name we never like it. But the vn government decide to change our City name like now.but we don't.

I can't wait to go back!! I was there in November and very excited to return in April!! If you get the chance have the green rice ice cream or any ice cream flavor! The ice cream is amazing just like the Vietnamese people!!
When you mention district 2 being the expat centre reminds me of an area behind where I stayed in district 1. It was funny because district 1 is very Vietnamese and right behind the hotel was the back packer row. Look up the banana pancake trail. It's funny every city on the trail has an area that caters to westerners looking for an authentic experience. Yet it is more unauthentic than areas back packers look down on. It is fascinating would be a good video or series documenting these areas. They are fun to visit as it takes me back to being younger and gives a peak into this subculture. And funny to see how each area from country to country is closer to each other than to the host country areas.
Welcome back guys. We're so glad when you guys love Vietnam🧧 and come back! Happy Lunar New Year and have more nice trips! Try: bún thịt nướng, bún bò, bánh canh cua, Phở bò...
We were supposed to be in Ho Chi Minh City next week, but we hit a glitch. So very disappointed. But we hope to visit sometime. Will enjoy your videos.
You chose Ho Chi Minh city as your vacation is like choosing New York city in America. And you said their are 15 million peoples living in the city of Ho Chi Minh city and their going to be millions of drivers, scammers, and pollution. No different from New York city in America. But people's carry guns and pocket knives on the street of New York. And it's not illegal to carry them around in America.
Thank you for this video. I will be traveling to VN for the first time in Dec. I have some basic questions to run by the group. How much banknotes should be carried to get through 1 day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner? Did you have any gut issues eating street vendors food? Would you recommend district 2 to sleep in and district 1 for social activities?
