Amira you bring so much pleasure to so many people of all ages and cultures theres never a night passes that I don't listen to you I know your parents will always have your best interest at heart please don't let anyone try to commercialize you stay independent and keep singing I am just amazed how you can sing in so many languages in such a short time you've been gifted with something incredible I wish only the best for you in the future, you are so giving to all those children in your mum's country very commendable god bless you Amira and thanks so much I am going to( drift away )

This is an amazing, child of just 14 yrs old, singing & performing on stage, I first heard Amira, on stage at the age of 9, with Andre Riue. This girl was so beautiful then. Now Amira, has just blossomed into this natural young teenager. I hope you can go on singing, you have such an amazing voice. Good luck for your future.
I am a supporter of Amira since she won Holland's Got Talent. When she sings, seems to be an angel singing. Also, I like that she helps Southafrican children, giving them playgrounds. Amira is a humble girl, she lives like a common daughter, sister, student. I like her a lot. God bless her, forever.

I saw her live last night, she was one of the opening acts for IL Divo, really enjoyed her performance and was one of the highlights of the evening for me. I admire her even more now that I found out about her charity foundation and playground initiatives. We can all learn from this young lady. God bless you.

I've followed her career since she won Holland's Got Talent and am thrilled to see her develop into such a well rounded young lady. This video really does a good job sharing her life off stage. I will continue to follow her singing career especially since I just learned what a terrific human being she is and how well she deals with her notoriety. She is the best young soprano in the world.

A great example of an exception in learning and teaching. You won't see very often that someone who is coached by someone else can make it go the other way around in the same world. I mean that Amira is coached by this woman, but she can give something from the same musical experience back to that same woman (if that coach would want it). What more do you want than being able than give each other something two ways instead of just the one to the other. Amira makes that possible. And when you see what kind of person she wants to be, you have to respect her so much for who she already is and was when we first got to know her. Her talent is not just the high quality of singing; perhaps the way of giving back is an even greater talent of hers. Wonderful!

She love it. The schools are much better suited to children who have talented or artistic career.
In addition, the Dutch climate is not exactly something to stay ahead of in the Netherlands. And all her close family on the mother's side lives in South Africa.

Her english is so good now. last time I saw an interview with her she could barely speak a few words. Smart focused and talented young lady.
You must have seen an interview with Amira when she was about 3 years old or so because she has been speaking english well since she went to school . Interviews with her after HGT show her speaking very very good english
the only interview Ive seen of her after her discovery that wasnt in Dutch was in Las Vegas after she won and her english was very heavily accented and she had to think to get many words. in this one she just zooms right through and theres no slowness to her speech and her accent is a lot milder than when she was 9. so no she wasnt 3... And from what I understand she speaks very good Afrikaans as well. Again, what a smart young lady.
I. Rex That interview in LA. was indeed not her best english. Her english at a young age was quite good though as she visited her grandmother in South Africa many times (that's where her idea for the playgrounds grew). Considering that she sang/sings Italian, French, English, Swedish, South African and Dutch....I think she's doing fine....

She's come a long way. The voice of guileless purity she had as a nine-year-old is richer, she now can control the breath to support her contralto register without losing the coloratura high notes, and her diction is much clearer (it was a little muddy before she had training).
She had nor has almost no coloratura. Her teachers always been of the sort alibi. Actually she even dumped one of them.
@@yogajedi3337 A mezzo simply can't hit the top of "Nessun Dorma", and she did that as a baby. She's no longer sliding up to the highest notes, she's coming over them beautifully. I'm operatically trained myself (baritone, I played Papageno in Die Zauberflöte) and I can recognise talent when I hear it. Pure coloratura.
@@yogajedi3337 That's not true, actually; after she dumped Maike, she went to Marijke Hoksbergen (her second teacher) and was going to her weekly until she moved to SA - for about 2 years, in fact. They got on very well together, and there is a documentary that you have not seen - it was up on the Gsacni channel as "documentaire 2017" for a short time before it was withdrawn due to copyright issues, which shows a more serious teaching session than one can see on any of her other videos. So your information has a rather large hole in it.
@@dafyddllewellyn6636 I know about Marijke and have the SA documentary video downloaded. It's true the schedule with her was 1 time a week. But Amira also have said she skips the lesson when she feels for it. On Amira third album it's written in the pamphlet a thank text to Marijke helping her with some breathing issues but it's Corlea, a true professional, who helped her through and her true mentor during that period. Again. Her present teacher has nothing to offer her. Bet it's her who are responsible messing up Amira poor singing in The Phantom video.
@@yogajedi3337 Well, if you have the Kyknet documentary, you are better informed than most. Of course she skipped sessions when she was elsewhere; but you cannot really say those sessions were an "alibi". Yes, Corlea was (and probably still is) a large influence - but Amira picks up knowledge everywhere, and sorts it out herself; she is an extremely intelligent person. What influence Suzette Willkens has had, I cannot say.

As an Amira fan it was really very interesting and shows her not only to be the superstar she clearly is, but happy in her normal surroundings and activities. At the same time it clearly demonstrates that she possesses a real heart of gold! A class above all others. I'm so glad she has found an excellent teacher too!
