Very nice car
Turned out to run and drive great. Definitely a tight cabin
I love these cars. My daily driver is a 1998 v6 Firebird and I also have a 2002 Formula for car shows.
That is awesome. Definitely a cool car. I liked having the T-Tops off.
I used to have a 95 z28 convertible lt1 with 6 speed(and every option available for that year)… probably one of my favorite cars I’ve ever owned. Sold it years ago when i went overseas(stupid of me). I just bought a 98 trans am t-top car with the Lt1 and 6 speed today.
Ah yes the lovely headlight motor noise
I bought a 94 Formula Firehawk last week. Car #9 with 22000 miles.
Someone either made a Formula clone out of a V6 car or swapped out the gauge cluster at some point. All LT1 4th gens came factory with a 150mph speedo. Something is very strange there.
I would assume the cluster broke over the years. Pretty common across all GM’s of the era. Either the maintenance records which includes miles I didn’t look twice. Nice to know tho. Do have the glovebox pid
2010 a white G6 last car made.
Never would of guessed that
@@southernrevivalautomotive that’s what google said
These cars are a freaking nightmare to change the fuel pump in. I had a 94 z28 and you have to drop the read axel to change it. Had I been smarter I would've cut a hole in the hump in the trunk.
The original owner did the right thing and just made an above access panel. I would have done the same. It sounds like doing the plugs is a task as well for folks my size
@@southernrevivalautomotive yeah mine had shorty headers so it gave you more access. if you wanna see how shitty a fuel pump is look up hoovies video with wizard changing the fuel pump. they had to drop the rear axel and the exhaust. the fueler neck isn't flexable either so you have to remove everything below it.
I watched some videos on it. No way I was dropping all that to do a pump. Either way glad I didn’t have too
why is the speedometer only go up to 110mph on the v8 cars it went up to 150 mph. thats wierd might have been swapped out from a v6 car.
No idea. I didn’t even notice it. I never even go over the speed limit
@@southernrevivalautomotive yeah neither do I my daily is a 94 f-1shitty that goes maybe 100 idk it only shows 90mph
I’ve gone well over 100mph in our 75’ F250 a few times and with the older trucks factory setup it’s definitely sketchy
@@southernrevivalautomotive yeah mine has trick flow aluminium heads and a cam swap with a few other things and I've had it pegged and kept going and going for several seconds and i could feel it pulling hard so i know I was going over 100 idk how fast i was going though.
I know for a fact the fox body cobra with crate motor safely tops out around 147-150 right around the same time a ws6 hits 6th gear
13:11 you're using the non chipped key bro these cars have chips in the key and they wont start without them.
The VATS was turned off 8 years ago. Regular non chip keys works.
@@southernrevivalautomotive yeah I noticed later how it was cranking with the silver key
