Time travel in this movie takes the form of a matter bridge between two separate timelines. In order for causality to work, the bad future would still have to exist. Colonel Muri knowing humanity is done for, used time travel to create another future were humanity stands a chance of fighting back. "How Do You Kill These Things?!?" First you would use an AP ( Armor Penetrating ) round in a caliber that doesn't rely heavily on velocity for it's wounding characteristics. And if you are going to use a heavily velocity based caliber for it wounding mechanics. You wound neuter it with a 8" barreled M4. If I was called to the Tomorrow War. A 308/7.62x51 chambered battle rifle would be my preference.
His preventing the alien invasion in the past did not save the future characters we've met from the events of their timeline. The second they stepped foot in the past, the world was immediately moving in a completely different trajectory than the world the future soldiers came from. In their world, no soldiers came from the future with a warning, the aliens just attacked, and our main character was already dead. If changing the past modified how things played out in the future, their going back to the past would've changed the course of the war entirely, as humans now would have had several years to prepare. Instead, the events that took place remain cemented in time. When the daughter told the main character that he had left them, his knowledge of that didn't change the way her life played out. Even if he's there for her in his present, she still lost her father in that future timeline. Instead, a new timeline is playing out parallel to the old one. So when he lost that future version of his daughter, she DID die, regardless of how he changes the past.
The premise was great. And it was an entertaining film. I just hoped that the 'future people' would cough up more resources and effort in aiding the conscripts. I don't know, like some exoskeletons, power armors maybe? Railguns? Lol.

Nah changing the present wont save that Muri. They're using Dragonball Z timetravel where changing the past creates a new future but doesn't change the one you came from. The timeline that Muri is from basically contains a dead earth by the end of this film. She can't be un-killed.
I closed both eyes on all the negative reviews. What matters the most is my parents n both u Sir & Mdm loved it. This is actually a really gd movie. The plot is well-written n they explained alot. 2 similarities between Sir & Mdm n my parents were 1)Mdm has the same reactions like my mom throughout this movie especially when the White Spikes made their 1st appearance n 2)Sir figured out that was the older Muri straightaway like my dad did. I think Mrs Yvonne Strahovski was amazing in this movie. She delivered the emotional part very effectively. Also Norah n the other "Norah's"(😆) death was the saddest. I loved both of them. Didnt expect this upload hence the late comments. But THNK U both so much for this reaction!🙏
Gotta disagree with the well written part. It makes no sense to bring people forward in time, robbing you of those parents and scientists and workers etc that could spend the intervening time preparing for the invasion. The movie claims wiping out the male population isn't enough. Isn't it? If all the males are dissolved, who will the females breed with? The film has so many moments where it seems to be preparing a dark twist, yet that never drops. I was not surprised to find out that this was massively rewritten to make jt a 'happy movie rather than the dark predestination paradox it was always intended to be. Its objectively poor, but subjectively? I'm glad some people got some fun out of it. Just wish I'd been one.

Your husband jumped scared more than you :)
when she said he left them, she wasnt talking about him like leaving them and moving somewhere else, she was talking about him dying and thats how he left them
She said they got separated and then divorced.
Really enjoyed this movie. It has a rewatchable feel to it.
Really liked the alien concept for this movie. Whitespikes were cool =). Btw about that alternate life, think adult Muri see his father get depressed as he didn't get that job and no time travel event happened, only years later the alien invasion started. So it's most likely that future version of him couldn't already happen as this time travel event happened.
Now here's a happily married man. I see Yvonne Strzechowski and I'm only thinking how to pronounce her last name.
Strahovski - it's pronounced Stra-hoff-skee.
@@LastRenegade it was a joke. Her stage name is a good approximation of the pronunciation. My father and his family are from Poland and my mother's parents are from Poland. I don't speak the language but know the alphabet and pronunciation.
I thought this was a fun movie. And I love Chris Pratt too although does he remind anyone else of Paul Walker? Just me? lol
The premise of this story reminds me of a book I read 35 years ago called Our Children's Children. I think by Bauman
This was a great movie kept my interest.
Leverage - at 7:23 we witness both, he using the shovel and his daughter extorting an additional $10 from her father. Well played.
John Carpenters 1982 The Thing! And the 51 version of The Thing with James Arness they found it in the Ice.
They just made me think of the Zerg from starcraft really.
She had the EXACT SAME reaction to the water drop as I did HAHAHAHAHA
It's funny, because half of these alien film's, the aliens don't even seem capable of wiping their own arses. But yet we're led to believe that they perfected interstellar travel and all that BS lol. Hollyweird must think we're dumb as hell.😂
actually the movie explains how these primitive alien creatures showed up!
@@2ost1 exactly, clearly the smart aliens died in the crash and the ones we see are basically their pets.
I loved this movie.
22:46 / Y'all gotta start watching with subtitles if she can't hear critical info in a movie, That's twice now. I do it 'cause my hearing is garbage and people get upset at seeing the words on the screen, But idc, I can't hear but I can read.
It could just be we are talking during those moments haha. She's usually good at catching the details.
Great reaction. Please do a movie reaction to Munich. It's a suspenseful spy thriller inspired by actual events. And Munich is a Spielberg gem. 💎

Here's a clip from Munich
The Aliens remind me of the chimera from the game Resistance fall of man
They did say aim for the necks or belly in their training scene.
11:00 Norah was from the series "24" Was surprised to see her. The movie was an enjoyable popcorn flick, you can certainly do worse.
@@TheRealpdq Wow.. forgot about her being on 24. I always knew her from Chuck as well.
@@TheRealpdq Yvonne played Kate Morgan in 24: Live Another Day.
The great Mary Lynn Rajskub who played the equally great Chloe O'Brien.
8:18, fashion over function. Lol!!
Could you watch Fargo or Twin Peaks ?
i Love you both so much
I wish this movie got more recognition
"How Do You Kill These Things?!?"
First you would use an AP ( Armor Penetrating ) round in a caliber that doesn't rely heavily on velocity for it's wounding characteristics. And if you are going to use a heavily velocity based caliber for it wounding mechanics. You wound neuter it with a 8" barreled M4.
If I was called to the Tomorrow War. A 308/7.62x51 chambered battle rifle would be my preference.
Dude! 16:22 all those spoilers!! hahaha
He ready to play the live action version of Omni-man
You guys want a time travel movie that will really mess with your minds?
Watch Predestination.
I feel like this was a movie about healing generational trauma
The premise was great. And it was an entertaining film. I just hoped that the 'future people' would cough up more resources and effort in aiding the conscripts. I don't know, like some exoskeletons, power armors maybe? Railguns? Lol.
It's a shame this was sold to Amazon instead of getting a full theatrical release!
"You didn't think that was a crucial part of F'n training?" Good call. Mr's Me calls it like it is..
8:30, on a scale from 9-10, I'm 97. Lol!!
Great reactions as usual, you two! I was happily surprised that I found the film enjoyable, being so use to Netflix's usual production of mediocrity (at best) when it comes to movies that I have seen, had soured me on such streaming flicks.
A big thumbs up from me! 👍
Is Amazon bigger than Netflix in terms of budgets for shows/movies?
This goes well with more films that are better then they should be, like Edge of tomorrow or World war Z.
The entertaining movie never the less. Great reaction as always... Hope you guys get to react to The Fugitive or the Hunt For Red October
Thanks for saving me money
Nice reaction but it skipped the alien pilots part.
i Love you both you to are awesome you are amazing you are spectacular you are phenomenal you are fun you are funny the future in looking bright for the both of you Love makes you happy keep on Loving each other you deserve each other Love is important to you both
You guys should watch Passengers. 👀🤔
It's like I am Legend mOVIE
Cant wait for nightmare on elm Street
Hope that's next lol
What made them believe obvious mindless animals secretly landed a ship on the planet?
Because they didnt know where they came from if there aliens first thought is space so....
@@X-075 Nothing about them from when I first saw them indicated any intelligence. The theory of someone else flying them in wasn't even thought of. No way they should have believed these were the only life involved.
9:32, lol!
3:20, this is when the shit really hits the fan...
It doesn’t matter which version the daughter is, it’s still his daughter so he still feels upset.
I think the movie was great.
This is the closest movie we got from a full scale planet wide Alien attack well made.
Still hoping for that from the Aliens franchise. :)
Just finished watching this one. It was more like a direct to video SYFY.. And the aliens remind me of the tentacled Necromorphs from Dead Space only larger that stick in the walls and ceilings.
if was what it was, direct to streaming good popcorn blockbuster.
This was Chris Pratt's first time as an executive producer. He said that this film is "a cross between Terminator meets Back To The Future meets Edge Of Tomorrow."
That's a pretty good description.
And maybe a bit Gears of War, i mean the chainsaw :P
He did a nice job, but expect now more from him as a producer, a lot less Pop Corn in the next one.

They were drafting people that had relatively little time left to live. So their potential impact on the future was minimal. Those people were helping to buy time for the creation of the toxin. It does have some issues but really not more than most movies.
nice hat
I liked this one pretty good Alien invasion disaster B movie nothing amazing but pretty good fun.
Bro they did say necks or bellys in training
4:38, no it's not. They are placing a gauntlet on his wrist that will allow him to time travel, but if he attempts to remove it, he will face life in prison for avoiding the draft.
Has the wife seen The Fifth Element?
She has. One of our favorites.
@@YouMeTheMovies I think I was a little too excited for Luc Beson's same world movie, Valerian. It had huge potential. Maybe no follow up could measure up to The Fifth Element for me.
