Galleries in 798 face uncertain future amid rising costs. I came back to the 798 Art District after hearing rumours about the drastic changes coming in 2024. Many iconic places will be priced out of this area. Before all that happens, let's take one last look!

top content! + nice sense of humour)
Thanks for sharing,
Do you remember that really high-end restaurant that used to be in this area? The one that was all white? They had a launch event not too far away from here? Where are they now?
And are the Sculpting in Time cafes still going?
Sculpting? Nah, they have spaghetting 😂
I’m from Toronto, and I swear some of these scenes of Chinese galleries on wintery snowy streets remind me exactly of my city. Obviously there are a lot of Chinese people & businesses here as well. Small world, lol. I lived in and around both China town & China town east for many years.
Geez, Momo. 798 has changed so much. It isn't raw anymore. You have to pay to go to the galleries? That's pretty heavy. So many cafes! They look really good!
The ICI LABAS Gallery is good.
Hey, Momo, some constructive criticism, when you put your hand in the frame and twiddle your fingers, it's a bit distracting. You don't need to point to the paintings or anything because the camera is.
🤣🤌 What’s up with my hand! It’s my right hand! It’s very dominant! 😂
It´s very similar to a mall here XD. It´s pretty disturbing. Vinyl fake graffiti, old trains for selfie... big galleries wit giant paintings... ¿Do you think that are real art sales here? Seems expensive. Thank you for the video, your mum is great!♥ Cheers to her.
Haha the fake graffiti is a thing here in Beijing. We don’t have a street art culture in China. There is a mural of “real graffiti”, on the wall of Hyundai. Yes, there are sales, but made by a handful of artists and galleries in 798. Platform China, Spurs and Meile are those who can sell.
@@VeryPrivateGallery Chinese people maybe prefer "practical things" than art?
@@sweetrebeldy Sure! Like a porcelain tea cup than a porcelain sculpture 😂
Hello mam i want to sell thanka painting and i am from nepal can you guide me ?
