I have been enjoying your videos on your RUclips channel all morning. I am truly grateful for every single minute I have invested in enjoying your content. Young artists and consumers of all kinds of art, the curious who just pass by to look deserve the sincerity with which you talk about art and the whole ecosystem of galleries and fairs. By the way, excellent metaphor of going to compete in the Olympics without training.
thank you for the quality content.

Great video. Do people actually buy art? Honest question. I wonder if there are numbers we can look at for an art fair like that for example.

I heard that during the ARCO art fair, half of the all years transactions takes place during this one week. I guess yes, but they are more “B2B” buyers than individual collectors, I think.

Part II how to get your art in Arco: "if you want to bring your own artwork like self-representing you need to open your own art gallery usually a gallery needs to be open for at least two years". This can be misleading, you can also be represented by a gallery and this is the main path for artists. Because if the gallery you make is only representing you as an artist, you cannot have access to those artfairs. You need to represent other artists and most of the time it isn't matching with the individualistic journey of being an artist. Plus imagine, if you have a gallery as an artist, there might be a conflict of interest perceived by artists you represent.

Good point! Maybe it was just another way to say “don’t do it”?😅

Malevich's radical gesture is that with his black square he defeated the sun (a symbol of traditional culture). Over time, the square was transformed into a pixel and became the basis of all computer graphics. Postmodernity raised the square to the flag and began to deconstruct everything that was possible, in the end there was nothing left. It is being replaced by metamodernity and recognizes oscillation as the basis of all. The sun rises and sets. With my work I showed exactly this. ruclips.net/video/ALW8-tclRHk/видео.htmlsi=tEx_boFJQBXRNzAN
