Only a pro uses a scraper on tempered glass, and you sir are a pro! Good job, thanks to guys like you my company can say no to windows and just get the money with the cleans! Awesome video!
I always have a paintbrush in my belt to brush away layer of dirt/dust from the seals and bottoms of the windows. Makes my cloths stay cleaner a bit longer and avoids the rubber to get dirt on it. Just a humble suggestion from me. Keep up the good work!
Great video, in the UK we call that work a builders clean. I quite like a builders clean and really dirty first cleans as you can charge a decent price and have a great sense of achievement of a job well done. Thanks for the great informative videos 👍
Dry erasers are another great tool to use on construction cleans with a lot of silicone on the windows. You guys should do a video on window cleaning packages for homes.
How long should it take on a clean like this or CCU I general? Because I was thinking of doing CCU many of my windows cleaner say stay away there trouble! What you think? Also do you do the frame and seals or just panes?
When i learn to clean ccu. 18 years ago i scrape the shit all over the place: tinted, foil, regular, you name it,every thing i scrape ,last job like rookie i fucked up was worth 5000 eur and i pay for the damage.(lesson learned) i work here in europe and now i live like dream from window cleaning.god bless you an reanna for teaching others.ps.be safe (on the ladders)
Razor-sharp hazard area, too. Find hate it. Would almost rather go tape them all off, for the builder before they get dirty and strip the tape. I was laughing today about the neighbors seeing me giving "this window sill a blow job" while trying to get the drywall powder out of the track with the foam number in the bottom. Jeez...
Many window cleaners are moving away from using scrapers, using chemicals in it's place. Any ideas on chemicals that can be used. One restore is good, but I find myself still having to use a scraper.
Hey Luke, I love your videos Luke and use you as an example to try my employees, thanks for doing these. I curious about the two windows along the front door, those should be tempered, do you still scrape those even when they're tempered? That window were nasty with paint and yes scraping would be quicker, but did you scratch the windows? Do you scrape tempered glass on construction cleans?
Thank you very much , I do. A blade can and will scratch tempered glass especially if you dont know when or how to use it. I do but never encourage others to do so.
@@LukeTheWindowCleaner Thanks for the response Luke. I have another question. When it comes to LoE 366 or 272 on a construction clean how do you deal with a windows not tempered but when you put the blade to it, you know there is something wrong. Its grabs. Would you say it's a manufacturer defect. The insides were fine but the outsides are all like this. I stopped on the first French pane and kinda checked them all and the did so much research and people say run. I think its accendently flipped with be silver coating on the ouside which means delay and a problem. I wanna help and that's not my style o run with a client I've been with forever. So I water fed poled it and looks better but unless he takes responsibility for what I've told him, That's what he gets. Just sucks because the home owner what's me to maintain them. What would you do. Also I have a had time saying No when its $100+ hr in a location where I can let my dogs run free and play. Hey if you have time to talk via phone I'd love to geek out with you. Another great video, good information! We've considered a steam cleaner for major construction cleaning. Haven't done it yet obviously but have y'all thought of it or know of someone who has?
Today I was trying to remove wood stain and must have been some tree sap. What a pain. I could not get it clean no matter what I did plus the window was about 35 ft up.
Why don't you remove the paint and stucco from the frames and windowsills? I work in new construction cleaning myself and can't figure out the easiest way to get it all
Hey Luke! Love the videos! I am having trouble with streaks in the direct sun. I have watched all your fanning videos and pretty sure I am doing it right. How much dawn soap do you use? When you're fanning is there any water on the glass at all after you pass it with the squeegee? It quickly disappears or is the glass totally dry? Any ideas? I was cleaning in the rain maybe thats why I left such bad streaks? Would love some help. Thanks!
Long days = an extra Crown n c Coke Strong work CCUs should be 3xs cost of normal annual cleanings??? Dont do any yet but im curious what your rates are and do they vary from builders
Love watching you guys. I’m just getting into cleaning and wanted to know the water to dawn or other stuff you add I can’t seem to get it right I live in Tampa. Tku David
Dutch Shine Windows yes they are. we wet the glass thoroughly and be as careful as we can. have not scratched them but i never encourage others to do it

I can not use a razor at work unless I necessarily need it for paint removal. What do you recommend I use instead of a razor?
Was wondering what kind of solution you're using to clean windows?
Great job guy . We just did our first construction clean a week ago I should have shown this video to the guys
How long should it take on a clean like this or CCU I general? Because I was thinking of doing CCU many of my windows cleaner say stay away there trouble! What you think? Also do you do the frame and seals or just panes?

You guys work so hard..God bless you both..
Marlon Mangawang thanks man! how have you been ?
Hey luke do you have a video for cleaning tracks, sills and frames?
I hate doing it, I may drop it as an addon service and only do glass...

Another great video, good information! We've considered a steam cleaner for major construction cleaning. Haven't done it yet obviously but have y'all thought of it or know of someone who has?
I have three steamers for my construction cleanups. Mc culloch makes good ones at a reasonable price.
Good stuff boss. Still isong the ledg EZ i see. Same here
You guys work it! Do you have any videos or discussion on how to price CC res jobs?
had a remodel yesterday was a silicone nightmare. I've been talking with a builder what do you charge on those? I'm in OK so our market is similar
I would like to see a video cleaning new glass with the stickers on both sides and
several spots of silicone on each side. A true CCU job.
Don’t forget the mortar cake on em too
What a pro👍🏻

Great video but how do you remove the inside stickers? Can you use a scraper on tinted glass?
ConleyStudios i would try to give it a pull with my hands. these stickers in this video come off very easily

+David Bender hey thanks man glad you enjoy it! start with 2 teaspoons per gallon. we go a little heavy , i like the extra slip
What do you do when all glass on a CCU job is tempered?
what type of sponge is that your using to clean the window?
@lukethewindowcleaner
Luke The Window Cleaner how often you change the rubber on that kind of job?
W&W Window Cleaning 1 rubber should be just fine for the entire job unless there would be tons of concrete splatters
How much charged for window
Do you charge different at construction sites
Jolly good show 🎩
Kye Horton thanks buddy, we enjoy your videos too!
On entry way and adjacent glass, is that typically tempered?
Dutch Shine Windows yes they are. we wet the glass thoroughly and be as careful as we can. have not scratched them but i never encourage others to do it
YOU really have NERVES OF STEEL!
Are these all wooden windows and are they still popular on new houses?
Polzn Bladz hey bob! no not all they are mostly aluminium and pvc .
Great Job!! 8-)
Wollef der Fensterputzer thank you!
The best!!!
Thodoris V thanks man !
I'm sure you've explained it before; why use the razor in one direction only? Thanks
Bill Link scraping back and fourth can scratch the glass by dragging the debris into the glass
What did you charge for this house?
8:45 Love it!
I own a construction clean up business and man I have to say window cleaning is by far the worse part lol.especially the over spray
