Dear morgaine, your handmade paints are looking lovely and I wish you every success. When you put the lemon yellow over the graphite tint I was pleasantly surprised how wonderful it blended . A great effect 👍 You definitely were not hanging about when it came to painting those people , which is probably the best way to approach it☺️. Lastly when does a park not ever have pigeons 🐦 in it 😁 Nice little scene.

I purchased these from the first offering. I enjoy their subtle moodiness, and have had a lot of fun using them. Instead of swatching, I painted s sheet full of various size circles (balloons, flowers?), and doodled on them with pen and ink. I was able to vary the tone of each color significantly. Some circles overlapped wet in wet and some wet on dry. The process provided a lot of info on the paint and it’s versatility, as well as a really pretty “swatch chart”, and relaxing afternoon. I’ve done a couple of landscapes, now you’ve inspired me with your lovely cityscape. Time to give it a go.

I enjoyed seeing a tutorial about tinted graphite since I am unfamiliar with it. I have two colors of Davidson pigments and I’m anxiously waiting restocking of this graphite set and your wild earth limited pallet. Now I don’t know which one to buy! I love your come loose and playful style. 🙏💙🌵🌵

I love this kind of paintings with the figures. Because there heads are not on the same heights I assume they are walking up a hill? I am really curious . You also made a big one who is far away and smaller people closeby.... Why? Did you do it with a reason?

Your fabulous Mum creates very effect painting similar to in style to this one. I love her's too.
Do you ever wonder just who is on the other side of the screen watching you? An American friend of mine often has thoughts like that. She's a lovely girl. Goes by the name of Randi, married with 3 little ones, teaches in college, and is just 34 years old. Intimidating for one like me that has no skills of talent.
Anyway... Don't I get side tracked easily. Back to the matter of this little piece of wonder. The creating of it looked easy, as they all do, but I think I could have a bash at this and make it look OK
But the finished item has an effect on me that a lot of your paintings do. It transports me away from myself for a moment. Like sitting in my room in darkness, as I do when I have a need to escape, and listening to steady rain with curtains pulled back, windows open. Hearing the tattoo of the drops landing firmly on tarmac, and the larger, less frequent drip falling from trees and an overflowing gutter. Catching glimpses of a street lamps light bouncing from droplets, looking like hundreds of diamonds falling at terminal velocity, only to shatter in many directions on hitting ground. Wind altering the direction of their decent causing a change of tone as the water is driven into the glass of the window pain. Wait, the blissful moment is interrupted by the unnatural sound of hard souls making rapid contact with the path outside of my home. Quickly they get closer and then blend into the night sound of needed rain bring an atmosphere of relief and a hope for having a greener place tomorrow.
In short order another set of foot fall keeps me alert as a couple go past talking quietly under a hardly seen dark umbrella. Faint rumbles emit from the dog's throat as she is forever on her guard, but not escalating into a bark. A while later and the rain lessens to a mere few scattered drops that make reflected light dance madly when falling on wet leaves of a near by hedge. Soon complete silence fills the air. In a strange paradoxical way it's too loud to be enjoyed. As the clock indicate a new day is upon us as the mid-night chimes fade away, a realisation that the rain fell for several hour and has rested my heart and mind, readying me for bed. Hot chocolate, one for my dearest darling wife, and one for me.
    TTFN.
