On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. You can fly all kinds of combat aircraft including the F-16, F-15, F-14, JF-17, Su-27, Mig-29, Mirage and the F-18 Hornet along with many other aircraft and helicopters like the Ka-50 and Mi-8.

one of the first, and still most important lessons I learned from watching this channel... is DON"T REVERSE THE TURN... that has already increased my survivability in flight sims.
Correct, the only time to reverse a turn is when you’re certain the bandit will overshoot if you do it. Otherwise you will die.
Finally got to see the Donkey again ! Yes....rematch P-51 v bf 109 ! Is there a FW 190 on DCS ?

Some WW2 scenarios would be awesome - Spitfires escorting some Lancasters over Germany, etc. Brilliant dogfight in the Bf109!
I'm not sure DCS includes Lancasters, in addition to Lancasters only did night raids and didn't use escorts.
B17, B24, B25, B26 would do nicely.
I’d also like to see more ww2 era dogfights… or possibly missions involving ww2 scenarios…
I think it’ll be interesting to also see a fictional set up where perhaps a ww2 aircraft finds itself jumping through time into a modern day battlefield
wish theres more ww2 planes, like A6/7s, Ki, me262a/c, more spitfires, P-51H, Yak-3, and Il-2..

That flanker kill at the start was fucking *brutal* - you raked him from nose to tail with 30mm.
he fucked around and found out. looool jk but ya super satisfying to get that kind of kill. A-10 gun turned the guy into chaff.
The mutual kill with warbirds was the most satisfying fight I've seen you do in a long time. Congrats to you both for the kill!
I'd like to see a 2v2 of Bf 109's vs P-51s. That extra dynamic could be a lot of fun.
The gun on the A-10 is devastating.
I do wish the damage model for the plane included the cockpit though. I would have loved to see the cockpit getting sheered off.

Yeah, the BF-109 vs P-51 was a complete tie. Dead engines, damaged planes. Although you get a small point for successfully belly landing as the other plane hit a tree or a building.
@growlingsidewinder would love to see a video where you have footage of what your hands are doing on the HOTAS...would be interesting to see.
I actually remembered "Paths of Hate" when both P51 and Me109 were damaged and both with water leaks try to kill each other) I thought this will end by crashing into each other. That was great)

My favorite videos. Radom aircraft having to go head to head. Just imagine a phantom going against an a-10.
Stepping away from realism, a 3 way dog fighter would be interesting. Similarly matched vehicles but every man for himself. It creates an interesting dynamic where a lot of times two foes will have an advantageous opportunity with a briefly team up before turning on each other.

That first one was a good shot! Ripped that flanker apart 😂. Second fight was phenomenal! Probably the best matched dogfight I've seen on DCS. Yor opponent is one hell of an airplane pilot as well
'Paths of Hate' is EXACTLY what I was thinking of during that round. Both planes damaged beyond being able to fight and yet the pilots were still going at it. What a great film.

Omg I love these when you fly warbirds. But that 51/109 dogfight was what I’ve been missing. Loved that landing. Belly landing was the first thing I made sure I learned when beginning to fly warbirds.

That Round 2 was so good!! When the fuel was lost by the both of you, you gave up the match and concentrated on landing while he insisted to get you for the last time, losing his plane there. But I don't know why he chose to go for a Fox-2 in a guns-only match where he was clearly a better flyer...
Some seriously intense rounds, both such skilled pilots. Really did come down to who could better use the circumstances they had and adapt to overcome.

A very minor terminology note for the excellent A-10 videos: A-10 pilots don’t call them “air brakes,” but rather “speed brakes.” Also, an A-10 with loaded-up weapon stations would likely jettison the munitions if having to deal with an air-to-air threat. The weight and drag would quickly bleed off any available energy needed to survive the fight.
The hang just chewed up that Flanker and spit him out.
