Overclocks really change the way weapons work, just like in DRG.
the led storm minigun only shoots at the 180 degrees arc in the direction you're facing, which might explain your inability to use it to shoot the bugs

All the issues you are having with weapons not being "fun" is fixed with the overclock system for leveling your weapons up.

Plus it’s kinda a pain to grind each one and get far enough without dying
@@Odyssey636 the issue is doing a full run and starting with none at all normally you have your main gun you focus on to carry you, on a fresh character you don’t get that

Go with the instinct to do more Inkbound videos. I've got every achievement in the game and hundreds of hours on it. Still can't get enough. Such a good game.

I love weird interactions like these in rogue-likes. Makes me feel like the game's ai has a sense of humor xD
Bought this game as soon as I woke up today lol, played it a bunch already. Haven't beat any levels yet, but got really close! Could tell it was much, much harder than the beta/demo.
I never knew this would be awesome and I can't wait to see more of DRG survivors and especially when it's multiplayer

I hope they release a patch soon to deal with the scaling problems. It's not that you're "bad" at the game, it's literally the difficulty scaling is super busted compared to the upgrades you are getting. Essentially they didn't match the enemy difficulty with the upgrade pacing stats so you're progressively underpowered instead of becoming more powerful.
well, the problem is that most, if not all roguelike scale their game behind meta upgrades and this isnt any different.
Don’t worry Ghost ship are Known for being a bit wacky with scaling. Normally they fix it pretty quickly
@@SniffinZergs Once you play the game for a bit you'll realize the issue. devs already posted on discord they are aware of it so we should get a patch soon.
Looks like they already released a hot fix buffing xp gain, glad to see they seem to be really active in fixing things.
Yeah ok I was wondering. I'm constantly dying at the start of stage 2. Plus I feel like there isnt enough time to actually farm gold/nitra because im constantly running. I do wish we could control where we shoot.
I enjoy how after a little while the aliens start mining FOR you. It kind of adds an entire layer to strategies 😊
Also there's a bug where when you pick up a supply drop, the info panel stays on screen and you can't move. Extremely upsetting after reaching lvl 20😅

There is a roguelike version of DRG itself in development with mid-run upgrades
It would be cool to have this kinda progression on DRG BUT, Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core is in development and is a rogue like FPS, so probably will have something similar.
Also, about the upgrades being "base stats" and "%", the selling point are the overclocks, they change the aspects of the guns and gameplay, it makes for different playthroughs and play styles so you just need to unlock them. :D
I wasn't sure about the game before hand on what they were trying, but it looks a lot more fun than I thought.

I put 13 hours into the demo. Will pick this up once I manage to stop myself playing hd2.

This game looks fun, wonder how these new weapons will work!
Its really interesting they made a Galactic bullet hell game, and it looks fun, but not sure if I want to get it already. It's priced higher than most Bullet Hell games. So far I only own Nomad Survival because of a bundle and really like that game. But that also means I still need to get games as Vampire Survivors, Brotato, Nordic Ashes: Survivors of Ragnarok and so on. Gonna be interesting to see the progress during the EA-phase.
I get that a lot of bullet hell games are 4-5 dollars, but this is made by an established and reputable studio and it’s only 9 dollars.
I know its an established studio, but that doesn't mean the game is already on the same level as the rest. I personally don't see the appeal for this price yet. For now, I rather get a cheaper Bullet Hell game or put that money aside for a bigger indiegame. I probably will get this game after a few months of Early Access, depending on the updates they put out.
Soulstone Survivors is another survivor games that's really fun. You should check it out if you haven't.
It's in early access and the studio is great. Deep Rock Galactic is one of my favorite games and despite coming up on it's 6th anniversary they continue to support the game and run special events regularly. I picked up a copy of Survivor and the supporter pack bundle because I know it will be really good when they're done with it. Besides, it's not a typical bullet heaven game. You're actually interacting with the environment and there's terrain to deal with. That's obviously more involved development wise than other games where you just walk around in a box avoiding enemies.

The only thing I learned from bullet hells is that you max out experience gain, pickup radius and luck as fast as possible. The are considered to be the most expensive and their upgrade cost won't be big as long as they are three aspects that you max out first. Max health and health regen are obvious and don't have incredible costs at the start and ater some growth in price

Well, you can't heal at full health, so face tanking those blast bugs right after was the logical choice.

A problem I see with it, as a person who plays drg, is that the exploders are exploding immediately, so you don’t really have an opportunity to bait them to explode to kill other bugs
My copy won't download past 1021.4 MB (90%) on Steam, so I will enjoy watching you play.
I would love this a lot more if the bullets wouldn't magically spawn out of his arse.

This looks awesome - but I also feel like it’s really not balanced. It just seems like you are constantly being squeezed up against rock by the enemies. I didn’t see a lot of special movement abilities to help the pacing and make it feel more strategic.

@@Odyssey636 lmfao. I like survivor games. But ones where both movement and your aim matters. Like the first Hell Divers for instance. Or Alien Swarm. Only movement matters with Deep Rock Survivor. Which reduces the challenge and hence the fun as well. Basically a tower defense game. Lmfao. OG DRG is a masterpiece. This is mid af
I bought this immediately upon release but haven't played it yet. Not sure if I'm gonna now that I've seen you play it. It looks too spongy and slow. I was expecting turrets to be a bigger component of the game.
why turrets? this isnt a tower defense game.
