      @@ChasingAdventuresCO ok I just put in my order for 2023 Wilderness in black and yes your car made my choice. The wheels/tire I was wondering how bad the rubbing is if its not bad I'm going to order the same set or would you chose something different now that you have had them for while aka the 38 off set or a different set of tires anything else. Thank you so much :)

      @@Xasukis NICE!!! Congratulations Gypsyi. I am very excited for you. now to answer your questions, I wouldn't change a thing. I love my set up and yes it does rub but its only on the mud flap. (I am going to make a video of the rubbing and how it effected the mud guard) but its not a major issue. Just need to trim the tiny bit of the mud flap. and the tires are AWSOME!! recently put through Mud and Snow and lots of rain, and it works great!!! no regrets here. hope that answered your question and let me know if you have any others.

    I have been to Twin Lakes many times and it is a beautiful area. It is the perfect jumping-off point for several amazing hikes. When you walked to the old mine shafts, did you know that if you carried on walking the road to the south of the lakes, eventually you will come to a more recent mining operation up on the hillside? When I was there last in 1992, the mine was actually in operation!

    • @ChasingAdventuresCO
      @ChasingAdventuresCO  Год назад

      Hi Laurie, Thank you for your comment and no I am not getting a rooftop tent because, I had one before on my Tacoma build back in 2015 and had it for about 4 years. It was cool at first but I found more negative about the RTT than positive. few negatives are, I had to remove it when not in use because it did not fit my garage and as you know its pretty heavy and it was not fun! had to find a level ground because even the slight off angle made a huge difference up at the top, climbing up and down the ladder was getting old, and if its windy, it would flap so much and can't do nothing about it, MPG was horrible, setting the tent wasn't easy as it seemed.. hmm should I go on? LOL although these newer one touch RTT seems easy enough, and if you are in the woods, I did feel safer sleeping in RTT because I above the ground and I did have a bear encounter one time and he didn't know I was up there but again, other negatives has turn me away from it. I find sleeping in the car seems more comfortable, warmer and easier. Plus when on a road trip and want to crash for little bit, say at a rest stop, you could simply go to back of the car and sleep, but with the RTT you cant... anyways, I hope I didn't scare you or changed your mind about getting RTT if you were thinking about it. 😃 It's definitely a difference experience and some swear by it so everyone is different but those were my takes on RTT~
