I learned that when it did this just to stay home. I kept food stocked for times like this. I always get sick when it rains like this and I have to walk in that standing water. No thanks.
as a tourist from the mountains I enjoyed floods in Bangkok, but i didn't have to do anything or go anywhere. It's miserable for the folks who have to deal with floods a couple times a year. Being Thai they 're (mostly) good-natured about it. "Good time to stay home and make babies"
