We in Ireland are in a very delicate position as regards to the US. There are a lot of US companies with factories and offices located in Ireland. As such we have to be very diplomatic in how we address issues like that in Gaza. I think that our Taoiseach did a good job. Interesting though that he has just announced his retirement. The timing is interesting… Watch this space.
No we don't have to be diplomatic due to US companies in Ireland. People forget that those are international meaning that they are not designated US anymore and are scene by the US as 'foreign' Just because they may share the same name doesn't mean nor make them US. All the companies in Ireland from US origin are now either European or Asian with their HQs in Ireland to facilitate Europe, Eurasia, Asia and Africa. The US has no hold over the companies in Ireland, more like the other way around with their lobbies in the US states and now the UK. His and their days are numbered
Had the US GOVERNMENT and the majority of western countries had principle stand on what is happening in the world today like Irish people, no double standards. Viva the great citizens of Ireland
I believe this was the moment that sealed the prime minister's fate. Go watch Parliament in Ireland and you'll see why he had to go. They don't mince words or soft shoe anything we they speak about the Genocide in Gaza. This speech simply wouldn't be sufficient for the Prime Ministers collation party.
us Irish were know war nothing good will ever come out of it. My grate grandfather at 16 years old left Galway to fight in WW1 , all he ever wanted was to rase his pet birds.
He sealed his own fate. His now stood down and rightly so he and his policies were not for the irish people. Obviously people do not realise how unhappy immigration has hurt ireland and its people. Losing their values their country. I am happy for the irish people. 🇮🇪🍀
The people of Israel & Palestine must vote for political parties that believe in 2 state solution. If west bank is the disputed area for Israel, west bank must accomodate people from Israel & Palestine to live peacefully with each other just like before the zionists came to the land. Since Israel lives also in west bank taking palestinian lands, Israel must compensate certain of their lands to the Palestinians eg perhaps expand the Gaza strip eastwards.
Thank you Great Ireland, we love you. Greeting from Indonesia
Freedom for Palestine 🇵🇸

Joe, your ancestors would be ashamed of you for your stance on Palestine. Shame on you

Hypocrisy of white supremacy can easily be seen by not applauding when great PM of Ireland talks about Palestine.
Two days after this speech, back in Dublin he resigned.
Got his marching orders for speaking up! And the weasel that he is took them. They are all the same
