I have a strong suspicion this team won't be leaving Sacramento. The Vegas deal is a mess, and Sac has the political appetite to get a stadium deal done.

I could see that. Sac will show its a viable passionate baseball market. When the Vegas stadium blows up Sac can move quickly to build a world class stadium no doubt.

That’s the plan by Vivek. He even said that there’s a nice beautiful railyard setting right next to the Sacramento river which would be amazing for new MLB team and us fans and Sacramento actually support a team through thick and thin.

I kinda get the sense as well, but that throws a monkey wrench in a lot of expansion hopes and relocation in others dreams.

This might sound irrational but I think the A’s need to put Sacramento on their jersey for Sacramento citizens to 100% support it. When the New Orleans Hornets temporarily moved to Oklahoma, they made sure to put Oklahoma on the jerseys so the local community will support it.

I've got that SAME FEELING. Sacramento already said that they want the A's to stay there PERMANENTLY!

This isn't the fault of the current mayor. The stadium dilemma has been an issue for a long time in Oakland.

NOT CORRECT! LESS THAN 8,000 was last years AVERAGE attendance! ABSOLUTELY PITIFUL. So much for fan support.

Why has Oakland "lost" three professional sports teams? The politicians in Oakland believe that the city comes before millionaire toys. They were not going to be bullied into taking taxpayer money and giving it to people that could afford to do what they want without it. San Francisco and Oakland USED to be great cites but if they can't even keep an In-and-Out burger open then what does that say about the city as a whole. The politicians have a lot of work to do and this was a distraction that is FINALLY resolved...I hope.

If you look at what’s happening in Jackson County, Missouri, it’s ugly. The Royals are really engaged in tough rhetoric to rush through a referendum to get well over $1 billion from taxpayers BUT it’s premature because the long term agreements are in place yet. The Feds really need to step in & out in firm requirements for teams before a local govt is allowed to pledge tax dollars. If not there will be empty stadiums everywhere as owners move teams every 20-25 years saving $1 billion per move by dumping it on taxpayers. The playing field must be level so that desperate cities can destroy their finances for local politicians to het re-elected for getting a pro team while selling out the taxpayers. Minimal requirements & maximum subsidies in a federal law would end the scamming.

The Coliseum and the area around it are dumps. Too bad they couldn’t get a deal done to build a new MLB stadium at Howard Terminal. But it’s pretty clear the A’S and MLB were finished with Oakland. In any case, Oakland has far too many problems to bemoan the loss of the A’s.

Guys check it out John Fisher will realize after the first few months of being in Sacramento and yes later Las Vegas that these are two colossal mistakes. He will find leaving his corporate sponsorships and being in the sixth largest television market will be nothing like it was when he was in Oakland. Leaving Oakland looking at it from a pure business standpoint will be a financial collapse for Fisher.

Thumbs all the way down in flames. To the male host, I find your comments arrogant and blame placing. Sure one could argue the Oakland Athletics is the Mayor's fault. Just as much the last Mayor before the current one. An important distinction to mention which you and your co-host "failed to" here. You could also blame Major League Baseball and current Oakland A's Owner John Fisher. Something else you failed to distinguish. The problem with that is the typical and obnoxious arrogance media charlatans play. Find shiny objects and blame the first person you can point your finger at. To pick on Mayor Sheng Thao is equivalent to me as to blame a minority for things that going wrong that singular have nothing to do with such. Perpetrating a narrative, now if the citizens of Oakland, CA USA feel that way. They will say so at the ballot in the Mayor's and City Council race as to who's at fault. For a media network to play this game is just why most people don't like any of your. Your gross dishonesty.
