For me it was fine end game wise I would have them working on cosmetics new classes character customization/sex and improve the graphics to be more in-line to d4 and poe2
I am really excited for cycle 2. I plan on starting your Shotgun Marksman build, and will follow up with some kind of Beastmaster pet build...maybe Lightning Wolves? Going to also give Merchants Guild a try as I went COF in cycle 1.

When you play one game for 20 hours a day 30 days a month you typically run out of shit to do. I don’t take anything that any streamer says seriously. I work 60 hours a week and I have a family. I always have something to do in a video game. The fact that every normal person that is on the Internet will sit down and agree with the streamer on what needs to be in a video game blows my mind.
I miss the day when video games are just a video games without any influence from other sources 😢
I, as a streamer, made a video yesterday talking about that focusing on endgame in these ARPGs seems pointless, because the majority of players never even gets there. You are 100% correct on streamers judging these games wrongly very often.
There was never any endgame even the old diablo games after you kill the final boss.
I think people were expecting this as a subscription game to have constant update which it is NOT.
The old diablo endgame has always been mf'ing (magic find=hunting for loots) character builds and community activities. If they want more contents then paid for an expansion when it comes out.
Those people were shouting at a wrong game that isn't design to be their typical subscription mmo.

Idk, Last Epoch is one of my favorite ARPG's at the moment.
Yes. I like that I can tailor a skull to my current gear. So if I have more bleed heavy uniques or gear, I could use skills with more bleeds. And I also like the aesthetics of changing a skill from, say fire to cold or lightning. They all change. Whenever you think of a qaukity of life change in a different arpg could help, Last Epoch has already done that! An example is when other games put a huge cool down on a gap closer or traversal skill. Last epoch does not do that, plus it's easier to shorten the cool down as well.

Why trade needs to be better. It’s like the faction vendors in wow. You eventually get an upgrade grinding that slowly over gambling and getting fast or not at all

The game has a lot of potential but the character models and the loot model is horrible. And the end game loop is as simple as you describe, a hamster wheel I’m not too fond of
Exactly how much of the POE player base actually does pinnacle bosses? I would bet it is in the single digit's percentage wise. POE designs and tunes their game to this top % of the player base, so yes, hardcore POE players love them some pinnacle bosses. But the other 90% of the player base could care less. Most players don't even sniff a pinnacle boss. Most players get to yellow or red maps in end game and call it quits. Normal people don't have the time to do what it takes to do all endgame content in any ARPG. So, to me, their thoughts on Last Epoch are irrelevant. They already have their overcomplicated time sync in POE. No need to make a game that was not meant for you just like it.
I've moved on from POE. I would much rather play LE or even D4 or Grim Dawn. I am happy that neither LE nor D4 are trying to do the POE thing. D4 is great for casuals and newbs and LE is great as the next step up...still casual and new player friendly with more depth. I played exactly three days in the last POE league. I will be playing LE until the next cycle starts and will continue with LE.
I like a lot of stuff in LE. But bosses I really do not like at all the way they have been implemented so far. Julra is a clunky nightmare for a lot of builds. Just the feel of most bosses feels really bad to me. If these new bosses have the same janky feel of the old bosses I think I'm good.
That's really my main complaint about LE--that the actual gameplay (the "Action" part) doesn't quite hold up to the excellent progression systems they've built around it, so that it's either too easy or hard in a janky-feeling way. Hopefully that'll improve over the next year--as you said, there's a *lot* to like about it.
I think if dying to a boss put you outside their room it wouldnt feel nearly so bad because it makes the bad exponentially worse.
Ofc MG was OP because the amount of items scales with the amount of people playing .... 200k at the start.
After 6 weeks of the cycle with only 4k players from wich under 50% are MG you just can't find high tier items to buy and can't sell even your generic mono T7 drops...
CoF is the way if you want to play 2months+ or Legacy

I just laugh when people say LE is dead, its only just begun and I'm so excited for seeing what we have in a years time and then two years. This game is just going to improve until they decide to make LE2 and I'm here for the journey.
Player bases is really low with poe2 and Diablo expansion coming. Say what you will about d4 but the amount of people supporting streamers and the console player base eclipses le. I like le more than d4 persona but even I can admit le is has the lowest player base bay a wide margin.

they need more unique items that buff every ability like there should be a viable build for every ability you have and give us sets with LP they are just a meme at this point

I hope you don't... The biggest problem with the game right now IMO is there is not much progression after reaching level 100. Hardly get to enjoy empowered timelines before all there is to do is just upgrade gear.

I love your content and I believe it's just a matter of time before this channel blows up. The only bad thing I can say is having hawg on. People are starting to see through him and by aligning yourself with him doesn't do you any favors.
I play POE, D4, and LE I can play all games because I don't need to grow a channel by hating on LE and D4 like hawgs channel.

The way he described dailies was spot on. I played WoW for years almost from the beginning up until Mists of Pandaria when it became increasingly hard to have a consistent group for raids. I think a lot of ppl finally got sick of the grind.

As long as I see buffs for my minion FG I will 100% be back for S2, and it certainly sounds like there's going to be a fair number of changes to the FG passive tree judging from what I've seen on the discord.

I love the game but the grind is too much. Talking about gearing. They seriously need to increase drop rate of LP - I leveled like 6 toons to max level and pushed 300 corruption and got only two - 4LP items and got burned out. Until they do I’m not coming back. My favorite was torment warlock. Loved its playstyle. I normally play rogues but all the rogue builds feel super wonky. I leveled all 3 rogue masteries.
Hello Aaron.... Why most of the ppl comes with "We have to see this from the new players prospective"? The casual player are not keeping the game on spot... Its the hardcore fan.... And yes... From the Prospective of a HC-Player there isnt much Endgame... For my opinion all should keep an eye on the "casual" player first than switch to making endgame systems for the HC-Fans....
I don't think LE is dead, I think most people are like me in the the sense that I just accomplished everything I wanted to and am just in a holding pattern to see the next season. I am also with Ziz... I will gladly buy some MTX for a good game that is reasonably priced to begin with... I bought a supporter pack on PoE, and I will buy one on LE if it interests me because I want to support a good game, D4 will not get anymore money from with their 100 dollar base game and 100 dollar xpac, S4 was good, but that's about it lol.
By the time 1.5 will be out this game will be serios - like very very serios!
I think LE would be better with a traditional expansion model. Make me pay 20 dollars every 15 months or so for a big update. I don’t care. If you can’t afford a mid priced addon every. One and a half years for a nice game you probably should stop playing video games 😂
I so agree with Ziz on the cosmetics. I'd like to support LE more, since it's a fantastic game. But yeah.... I'd love to see some REAL eyecandy to throw money at =P

Its one of the things I hate about Lost Ark. Having to login to claim rewards, do several various daily activities on several characters, otherwise you literally arent able to play the most recent content. Big money grab vibes. Huge waste of time.
I just started playing LE mid jun i come from PoE but i found my 2 hoursish per day to few to enjoy PoE.Now with LE i feel progress is way smoother and fun i do CoF from the start and i find items and skills very fun to put toghether.I really hope for daddies like me the game will not go "nerf vision" like PoE (aka more time consuming to get to the same point) as a game for me doesnt need to be a life mission😅
The game isn't dead. But the bugs and lack of balance are really annoying.
I'll continue playing when they fix these issue's.
The problem ziz has with being able to trade items with groups is that the game has personal loot drops which imo is bad for ARPG's in terms of massive amounts of loot drops which LE suffers the same thing POE does too much drops that require a loot filter
I don’t think cof has to be able to compete with trait. I play cod cause it gives super items a Mich higher value for me personally. Ofc trading makes it easier to get the best items - that’s just how it is and it is fully ok :)
It's dead now and no one is trading, that's why I stopped playing and farming. Need to populate the servers to be able to buy/sell cool things.

Sorry but there is not a lot to do end game. I got max level, finished at least few times each monolith and got bored...no point grinding high corruption.
The games graphics and no ability to custom the toons is bad. Every weapon and armor looks wack and this is what is keeping it mid

I would love to support the game with more money but I feel that the minimum cosmetics is quite expensive. I would probably spend at least $10 to $20 at least every cycle, but right now it feels like that amount hardly gets me anything. Generally I feel LE needs to up the styling, and I'm not a visual cosmetic person at all. The druid bear looks terrible to me, I couldn't even play the build it just felt way off
Id buy a costume a day in d4 if they were 5 or 8 bucks. But at 24? I literally will never buy a single one ever.

The only legit complaints I have about the game are the server issues
most people play merchents? hmmmm pretty sure most chose cof..... the only reason 2 play merchants on low level toon and even then cof with all the drops is still better IMO. then once you hit end game its cof all the way with all drops you get lol. cof is already better from experience I've found a ton of purples with my ideal stats and bunch lp 3's just from running mono's and didn't have to spend any gold for them.
You don't need all the drops if you play merchants. You just need gold. you can buy all the drops exactly the way you need them through the MG. So it just turns into grinding for gold really. I personally played way more CoF in cycle 1 and prefer it. But it is kinda nice just going to the MG and finding the exact item with the exact stats you need and buying it to complete a build.
@@red5standingby419 I found all the items I needed with the stats I wanted and found a few items for future builds.... Cof in the long is just better, while merchants is a quick buy. maybe if the stuff you find with Cof one toon then sell those items on ur merchants guild, then I might say merchants is worth takin but Ehg thinks that too op lol
@red5standingby419 last I checked you need like rank 7 or 8 for lp stuff to be able to buy it.. we're as with Cof you were getting lp drops early in the ranks plus Cof can be leveled by grinding mono's, merchants you need to buy and sell stuff last I checked... and you can't sell the stuff you find with Cof... I also prefer Cof too.

How many leagues did it take for POE to have as much end game content as it does. Come on Ziz. I am excited for Cycle 2. I like how Last Epoch took the stash tabs in POE and glossed them up. It will be nice if they maybe add custom tabs as time goes on. It's funny in that I enjoy the trade system in POE but have only done the non merchant faction in LE.
It's not dead, just getting ready for the next Cycle. I am not into the end games as much as the more hard core gamers in that I mainly work on getting my characters leveled up, but then get bored by then and switch either to another character, or switch to other games for a bit. But since having to wait for the next cycle I have probably 5 different characters I am working on. lol. I have chars that I use for playing with my grandkids and kids. I do agree with Ziz in that the cosmetics currently suck.

All PoE players always look at new games through the prism of PoE. As much as I like Ziz, he's just talking nonsense here. PoE has had 11 years of patches and updates, Last Epoch will be just as extensive in 11 years.
I don't really get this comment. Ziz wasn't saying "LE has no endgame compared to PoE, LE sucks!!!", he was just saying that LE lacks endgame and that's something EHG is focusing on moving forward, which is a factually true statement. *Everybody* in the LE community, EHG included, are aware that LE lacks endgame and are aware that it _needs_ more endgame content moving forward if it wants to stay relevant. After all, that's why _every_ cycle over the next year or so is including some form of endgame content, and that's also why EHG came out first with the pinnacle boss as they knew that the game lacked in that area.
Furthermore, _Ziz is actually agreeing with what you said as far as "LE is daed, LE sucks!!!" commenters go._ I actually understand this part of your comment the least, because the last quarter or so of Ziz's video was specifically responding to those "LE is daed" commenters. I might have totally misread your comment there so if I did then let me know and I'll apologise, but yeah.
Last Epoch is 'pretty much' in my Top 3 after Grim Dawn (as top Favorite) and Diablo 2 (2nd Place) which i honestly didn't see coming. I feel like it needs a bit more 'meat' and 'polish' but it wouldn't surprise me that in the longrun it push down D2 and have an epic fight with GD. Esp. after seeing what everything is introduced with the upcoming cycle.
About the longlivety / replaybility, i've also to agree, i'd even go further and argue that's a core-essence of good ARPG's to begin with, like as example Diablo 2 despite not having really Endgame, that much of Live-Service and real Seasons (i mean yeah we had ladders and stuff, but would you argue it's as content rich as modern season season? I've avoided them pretty much because it never catched me). It was both a Game which was super viable if you play on & off, but also give you the freedom to invest more if you enjoy building up (new) character, tinker around builds and stuff, and i'd argue Last Epoch offers that as well. You can invest time if enjoy the core and level up new classes and builds, you can squeeze out quite some time if you're invested, but it's not as timeconsuming and grabbing as other Live-Service Games because the new exciting stuff which keeps it fresh is purely seasonal. I find that's the perfect approach that you can offer both. And some bits of the Endgame will be fixed in the long run (i mean i don't know any ARPG which had that rich of endgame from the getgo... they also needed a few years of tinkering and content-adding for that).
Last but not Least about MTX: Overall i do agree, BUT i really liked the Portal Skins so far, esp. the ice ones as well the Paladin Armor-Skin. Also one of these supporter/ultimate bundles had one which i liked visually. But yeah i do agree... i would even go further - maybe a bit of an hot-take, generall even ingame armors i find there can be done more, especially if you compare it to Diablo 4. If there is one of the few things where i geniunly have to praise Diablo 4, it's the overall aesthetics, armor,- and character-design (plus editor despite being quite limited). I really had fun with transmog in D4 (D3 as well tho Armor-Designs were sometimes a bit over the top while D4 feels a bit more grounded, than again we got angel-wings back so a matter of time that D4 also go this route). Can't wait to get the function in LE as well.
/Edit: I want to clarify, i don't argue the over-the-top Designs look bad in Diablo 3, absolutely not, i'm pretty sure i had some which would also be considered as over-the-top and i had for some characters different wings enabled. What i was try to point out, that in direct comparison i might prefer D4 in that regard because it was more grounded and maybe fits the diablo vibe better.
I'm among the first players on LE beta. I won't be there at the new cycle start but definetely will be there later and playing CoF (because I'm so used to manage things on my own and enjoy it like that :) )
I played POE since before harbinger (can't remember seasons name now LOL), but dropped the game 3 years away now (after faming my mirror on last season). I keep playing LE periodicaly because I have fun with it, not the same with poe pixel garbage and stress. And also ditched lost ark, too many useless/wasting time in dailys and imballanced.
Hope they can fix most of bugs though, I found far more in last cycle than in every beta version I played before ;)
I think that Last Epoch's no family sharing policy on Steam is going to kill it compared to D4 and POE/POE2 which are F2P and D4 has no restrictions on such.
i think that many people screw themselves from a much better arpg experience by following build guides , going at a slower pace and learning/building yourself and experiencing all the skill combinations is probably the best part about arpgs, and this modern day transition to a fast lvling experience and focusing on endgame isnt necessarily a good thing, it can be but eh.
100% coming back for cycle 2, really liked what I saw on release. I personally love the ability to go hard in a season, achieve what I want and have a rest until the next one, prevents burnout and lets me do other things.
As a SSF player I think the faction it needs a boost, faster ranking and a bit better control over drops.
love that all the "pro" streamers always forgets about the casual player that dont run out of things to do after a weekend , when you have a family work and other life stuff you cant blast like you are 14y again , so i still enjoy the monoliths , i play fortune this cycle might test merchant next time

I stopped playing when I realized there is no leeway in the boss mechanics for errors, I have a hard time keeping up with the mechanics and there is no room for mistakes

Spot on. Cycling through ARPG’s is fun. Can’t wait to play cycle 2, can’t wait to play the new expansion in Diablo. POE has a new season soon also. It’s perfect.
A little more endgame would make the game daunting imho. I dont want to have to grind for many months to do all content. Id like to play at my leisure for a couple months, then play other games for a couple months as i wait for the next cycle.
I think its at a pretty good spot for cycle 2. If there were a few more dungeons and random events, that would be more than enough for me.
I could only play it for 2 weeks casually. Good ideas but monos get boring fast
I mean, there's a difference between "grind for months to do all content" and just adding variety to endgame. One of the best things about PoE IMO is that _every_ map is a different experience due to the plethora of league mechanics and side content, which keeps you interested in the game long term. Blitzing through the same few maps, blowing through the same hordes of enemies just to clear the same basic objectives will only keep you interested for so long before you just dip out in boredom. Thankfully EHG seems aware of this, given that they keep introducing side content for monos and that they have an entire monolith expansion lined up for 1.3.

LE didn't copy the dodge from another game, it just wasn't implemented yet. If you try to rebind the space key you get a warning this key is used, though you cant find anything that uses spacebar in LE right now.

nothing to do in that game, sure it takes some time to add extra things and bosses. But i wont be doing 1 same mape idea for thousand times.. and at my lvl around 1k coruption all 3 dungeons gets oneshoted in 3s and we back to monolit so yeah maybe ill back in next 3 years to check out prob ill find better mmo
by your definition then all ARPG's are dead with most likely PoE as an exception, right??

I hope they make trade better. Trading in Poe probably is one of the game’s more positive features. It Gives ya more ways to progress and makes a lot more things useful to you
Anything thats less than, 10k players is not a good retention rate man. It is not. And the people are not wrong, it is dead. The facts you both speak is only based on your opinions and the amount of pulls from influenced streams. No sir. Game is done until they quit holding back and start releasing like a normal gaming company in 2024. The game has been out how long now? from the moment you can download and play it? I thought so. Im sorry but not sorry, i wont agree on this.
This is how ARPGs work, my dude. A new season is announced every 3-4 months, people get hyped in the 2-3 weeks leading up to it, a huge spike of players join on season launch, then the player count drops as people either complete the goals they set out for themselves, run out of content to do in the game or just get bored and move on. Repeat when the next season is announced. PoE has been going for 11 years now and is gearing up to launch what looks to be the king of ARPGs, and yet it follows the *exact* same retention curve that you're describing. Massive spike of players at league launch, then players gradually leave until eventually only a few percent keep playing at the end of the league, then the next league is announced.

I play the ssf faction..the game would not be as enjoyable to me without it
