Hair looks cute! I realized while watching this that I don't cook enough simply prepared food based on potatoes and rice anymore, and I need to get back to that. Thanks for reminding me with all of your delicious experiments here, and thanks for posting : )
The mochi 💗 The mock duck looks delish! I recommend using grated frozen mock duck with veg, hoisin & five spice in homemade dumplings 🥟 Also, love the new hair!
Loved seeing an asian spin on these series, gave me loads of inspo because I am usually more oriented on middel eastern and south american cooking (also veg and gf) but would like to up my asian game and love tofu!
I haven’t bought tofu in a while because I wasn’t feeling really creative with it but you’ve inspired me to go pick some up soon and try something new!
First, your hair is amazing. Second, everything you cooked looked SO good, you inspired me to make sushi w/my girlfriend tonight. And third, the tofu “boob” grab had me ROLLING.
I noticed you ate an egg with one of these meals. There's absolutely no judgment from me as I'm not vegan and I think eggs are such a great, nutritious food. I was just wondering if you're ok / if there's a reason why you're adding in some eggs in your diet?
I've been loving your cooking videos, but wondering if you're no longer vegan? Surprised to see the egg, but do you! Just wondering if I'd missed an announcement or something. Take care
I have to say I was enjoying this video thoroughly up until you had that egg. I understand that might be a backyard egg and hard to see the harm in consuming. But to use your platform to normalize eating eggs in general is disappointing to a long time fan that otherwise loves your work. In my opinion, we need to stop viewing animal products as a food source because thats how we got to this mass industrial stage in the first place. No demand no industry. Truly don’t mean to be negative just sharing how I felt. Everything else looks extremely delicious.
ughhhhh. I dont like commenting on youtube however I just feel the need to say that this comment is just so stupid. Its comments like this that make it harder to be vege. This RUclips channel has promoted vegan recipes for years, she has made veganism look delicious, interesting and easy, sold vegan desserts, adapted recipes, made actual cookbooks and helped save the environment and so many animals lives!! But despite this eating a single egg takes that away? It is hard to be completely vegan and there are so many factors that contribute to this including health, socioeconomic status, family relationshships etc (not that i know the reason in this video but I just mean in general). So instead of pointing out your 'un-enjoyment' why not just appreciate the other totally vegan recipes. Why does veganism have to be so strict and make you feel shameful if you don't want to stick to it 100%. Just eating less animal products has a substantial impact on the environment and the animals. Don't take this personally. Honestly just a rant because it confuses me how culty veganism can get.
@@L32067 If that’s your prerogative that’s fine. I don’t see a reason for you to get triggered because all I did was share my disappointment as this came from someone I in fact admire for the exact reasons you stated. Hence why it was harder to see her do. I also did mention how everything else looked delicious so this wasn’t meant to be “cruel” or “shameful” for the sake of it. But I have to say I disagree with the points you bring forward. Many of which were straw man arguments as I never said eating this egg takes away all the good she’s done. What I’m saying is as vegans we need to have a solid message that normalizing animal exploitation is not ok in any form. Otherwise the message gets lost. There are perhaps some unique circumstances of people living in remote areas of the world or in counties with extreme poverty where food is a matter of survival. But I am speaking to people living in the developed would with access to supermarkets and everything the modern world had to offer. Yes there are still going to be some circumstances that make it harder than it is for other, but nothing to excuse exploiting animals. Everyone can in fact be vegan despite the examples you gave. Veganism isn’t about being “strict”, that’s the wrong way of looking at it. Rather, it’s about saying no to looking at animals as things to exploit. And there is no room to do it sometimes. In the end using animals for our gain is unjust. And I’m sure I wouldn’t catch you saying we shouldn’t be expected to 100% abstain from any other forms of injustice, would you? I can think of many where you would be horrified by me even using as examples. The thing is we live in a world where consuming animals in all forms is so normalized that even some vegans are numb to how bad of a moral issue it actually is. In the end if you don’t agree with what I’m trying to say, then that’s totally fine. But that’s no reason to get defensive. Hope that helps you understand where I’m coming from.
