Just got one of these, it's very reliable and got everything i wanted. Many people i guess wanted to spend less to get a luxury car?? Then u need to make more money to get a Porsche. U get what u pay for and that's it.
I tried the 130 bhp petrol with the automatic gearbox. It's unbelievable how they can fit such a bad drive train in such a good car..! The engine screams like a stressed out pig when reving it, and the gearbox is slow and tired. What a shame.
I've just bought one of these - agree with most things in this review. But what's with all the dramatics over the USB? There's 2 USB outlets, one which is perfectly accessible from the drivers seat - why lean all the way over to the passenger side? The only other thing you left out of the review was your big bottle test... those door bins struggle to accept a can of coke farless anything more and the bottle holders in the middle... well there's only one really as the centre armrest blocks the other. The bottle older in the rear? Not the smartest of solutions to stick the 12v power socket in it. Any other faults? Well those 'plethora' of buttons on the steering wheel really confused me the first evening I drove the car as none of them are illuminated and in addition to all those sub-menu's on the infotaiment system, the system itself is rather basic for the UK market. And as I discovered the hard way, the cruise control doesn't disconnect when you depress the clutch. So when approaching a roundabout with cruise on, and you change down a gear, the car continues at the same speed... Arghhhh! (The HR-V has good brakes). Why would anyone wish to maintain a constant speed when changing gear? None of the above are deal breakers, but those designers at Honda aren't as clever as they make out to be.
It's not that unusual you want to change gear, but maintain speed. Climbing a hill or to shift up on a motorway. And in the end keeping a set speed is what cruise control is made for?
+James Gilmour Better than that James, HDMI only works when the car is stopped. So you hookup your 9" tablet and watch it thru Honda's 7" screen. Brilliant thinking.
agreed, perfect car for the audience it's aimed at, this car won't win many races but wins on practicality, efficiency and above all including most others, reliability!
With them lips on that boot,, could you slide 2 full bags in there,,, road noise and little excitement is pulling me in a different direction,, great review,,
In the 1990's Honda produced the orginal small suv and brilliant CRV mk1 which even today is a perfect balance of basic simplicity, practicality space and performance, still got our 1997. Bought the later one which is good but we still hang on to the old girl.Test drove this HRV today and what an absolute pile of uningspiring underpowered dullness even in S mode (Shoot me please) was embarressing that a major manufacturer as angus says allows a car like this to bear the Honda Badge. Who the hell are they employing who passes a not very well thought out vehicle. The centre console is awfull seat uncomfortable steering a rudder. Oh one good thing the brakes a great, so sharp they throws you through the windscreen.Relief!
Test drove one a couple of times . Engine to weak . Get you killed trying to merge onto the freeway just like my outlander sport I traded in after 5000 miles , Same problem with it .
how did I end up on this review page I don't even like Honda... oh well as long as I am here I might appreciate the curves and the body face is also pretty cute.. oh da car is not for me
seems expensive at nearly £25k for a basically dull and slow car with no 4wd. Pay five thousand more at somewhere like broad speed for a BMW 335 d xdrive msport and get a car that won't depreciate in the first year and is a whole lot more car instead.
You need to think about the insurance and maintenance service price. The difference between bmw and honda is quite large in France. For example ,I used to have a 2013 bmw X1 , 1300 euros per year for the insurance, 680euros for a regular small maintenance. It was too much. Now I have a 2015 CRV, 750euros per year for the insurance and 450 for a regular maintenance.
+hyylo There's nothing more gayer and nerdier than fully electric or hybrid engines. 'super cool" i dont think you know the meaning of the word 'cool'. It doesnt mean cold, like those numb new age 'alternative' shit is.
Did that car smile when Rebecca sat against it at the end? I think it did.
+Jack1138 who wouldn't?!!
Jack1138 I was just here for the car now you've gone and put a twist on things
Rebecca hot...😍😍
😆😆😆
Someone has working lot of squats, very nice. Good review
Great exterior and interior, coupled with bullet proof reliability. It's winner all the way in my book.

Rebecca is the best touch screen♥️🤣
Finally a good looking car! All these new age 2015 design is growing boring, now this looks more smooth. I'd take it over that weird CR-V.

+Angus MacGyver honda has taken all the sporty experienced and threw them out of the window, and replace them with CVT
***** Haha good one :-D
Håller med att automat lådan är usel på Hr-v men jag köpte en ändå :) kör mycket i stan och då funkar det bra.
I don't quite like this sort of cars, but my guess it's competent in its class. Like the interior too, it's well finished!
There's always a banana in her reviews :)
2:15 Judging by these comments, I don't think we are at 'Goodboys Lane' yet
yes, really nice big boot there...
Telegraph car
I have a question .
Diesel or petrol which one is better and why?
Why would it need a HDMI Socket? It is just in case you want to plug your tele into it? Hmmm!
Is Rebecca Telegraph or Carbuyer? Or are they one and the same? I see her in both.
Was in Carbuyer, now Telegraph.
Mat Watson has also moved on.
It has two usbs in the front, and you can get to them from the drivers side, no leaning necessary!
are you guys using a new camera to shoot the interiors?

This car has HDMI ??? WTF
+James Gilmour

rebecca drives, is obsolutely gorgeous and sweet, she´s simply perfect
Why no rear door handles ? Thought it was a 2 door
In japan hrv is called vezel it 129 bhp higher than hrv
The banana makes an uncredited appearance in the review.
So popular that production can't keep up. A great little family vehicle!
agreed, perfect car for the audience it's aimed at, this car won't win many races but wins on practicality, efficiency and above all including most others, reliability!
Steve is it true after 2018 they’re made in Japan not mexico and what are the differences in the 2018 facelift? I can’t spot one
Why so many scratches, were you trying to put a key in there?!?!?! 2:12
Nice,new highlights in her hair.
Why didn't you go down goodboys lane rebecca?
what's her name ? :)
She would've known she was going to show the rear passenger area so you would've thought she could have ran a vacuum cleaner around there🤦🏾♂️
With them lips on that boot,, could you slide 2 full bags in there,,, road noise and little excitement is pulling me in a different direction,, great review,,
Her camera man must have a hell of a job staying focused on his job.
yeah black pants and boots, always has a banana in the sizeable cubby holes, amazing ;)
HDMI port for what though?
so you can watch jungle book while driving
@@rashidgaylon1236 👉🤣 dead..... but then you should drive through the Amazone

Goodboys lane.......
A bit of Top Gear there.
Interior build quality? Don't know anything about it apart from an akward usb plug.
HDMI?! It's USB :)
+Vladimir Jovanović look closer, there is HDMI as well
+J Pi I believe it can do miracast.
0:52 ;)
That's where the goodboys go Daya: see 2:15
why not blue.
Why would you want to plug an HDMI lead into a car
Red vest over sth. purple? Did she try not to look stunning?
She's the one from carbuyer
Honda is good. Toyota is better. That's why it's the WORLD'S BIGGEST CAR MAKER!!!
😍 rebecca 😍❤😘
I would rather have a better sound insulation then a hdmi port. This new cars are full of tech nobody needs, but dont get the basics right...
its quite rare to see a lady drives a manual honda hrv
It's suspicious how they hardly ever review American cars....
+owenivor they review cars that are sold in the UK. And there arent many American cars that are being sold in Europe.
owenivor Dude...
The biggest boot in its class?
for croosover suv... (small size suv segment
how did I end up on this review page I don't even like Honda... oh well as long as I am here I might appreciate the curves and the body face is also pretty cute.. oh da car is not for me

hannibalUK1 Are you sure a 335d xdrive is £30k? =)) Where do you live?
+Chris Sorreda yes check it out on the broadspeed site. I live in england

Goodboys Lane.... Bit of Top Gear, no?
For some strange reason, this video made me want to watch faketaxi. I don't know why...
+GreatGrandmasterWang jajaja we DO know!! :D
nice
The ssangyong TiVoli copied this
Oh Rebecca..
If she mentions her bloody height again, I'm going to smash something!
And this basic car costs more than R$70 000 in Brazil...
Noo Kk 98.000
+Felipe Lange It Cost $100 000 here...
About 15-20k here
+DiamondPorkCraft 1.000.000 here
I prefer the original HRV, Joy Machine!
please honda make this car electric with dual motors like the Tesla model X.
+hyylo in japan they have it hybrid
fully electric would be super cool. imagine having dual electric motors on the honda.
+hyylo Governments if they don;t have to tax fuel cars will start to tax electric cars very high
they will simply increase inflation (hidden tax)
+hyylo There's nothing more gayer and nerdier than fully electric or hybrid engines. 'super cool" i dont think you know the meaning of the word 'cool'. It doesnt mean cold, like those numb new age 'alternative' shit is.
Hey what's my wife doing there reviewing cars
