Dan Allen Gaming you sound like a sensei " you got to have patience" I felt that fr 💯
Weaving means R2?
Tysm for the way before i was 24 before entering and then i end up dead
I Lost like 50 years of my life trying to fight Sean
same
Sean's a piece of shit easy fight. It's the previous 2, and random dude in the imddle that takes me to 50. At least with Sean you get good camera angles in the middle.
same
Same
Still worth it my boy...still worth it
This is the scariest thing ever...
Imagine fighting some guy, but he dodges everything you swing at him. And every time you're vulnerable to an attack, he just looks at you and say
"Punish"
6:40
10:40
and never actually fights back, just says "punish" that's gotta demoralize a fighter into submission
imma stare for a few seconds, put my weapon down and leave. That's his club now
@@callmeflores863 maybe all he need it a second cigarette :D
I got him first try with no deaths haha
Lol. And everytime he dodges he says whiff whiff...punish but without actually fighting back lol
Your tutorial helped me so much! The 2 enemies before Sean would always ruin my deathless runs through the club. After watching this, I defeated them without a death and defeated Sean with 1 death age 24! Now I can finally enter the museum below age 50 lol
I have entered last map with 25 age 😪
@@sayat1997ify Nice! I beat the game and afterwards I attempted to reach the last map under age 25 but I didn’t want to lose my sanity any further lol
@@dccaleb5529 Just finished the game for the second time, reached the last map at age 21 and beat Yang ate age 25. It almost took my sanity away lol. The one thing that makes Yang hard is you cannot uso focus on him, but i noticed the best strategy is to parry all his flurry attacks, it really builds his structure meter, especially if you have that statue power that further builds up the enemy meter when you parry him.
@@gustavomatos7338 Nice, that’s a strategy I need to try next time. Dodging eventually worked for me but it took a long time so I was susceptible to more mistakes. Learning to parry should make it faster
@@dccaleb5529 Yeah, I eventually went like this:
Try to parry all his attacks (minus the running sweep), eventually my structure also builds up because some of his attacks I end up blocking, so when that happens I dodge the next flurrys to decrease my bar. That's the entire phase 1. It's the same principle in phase 2, but now he has more yellow attacks, to you need to dodge more.
One thing to keep in mind is to not be agressive, only attack when get a counter or a perfect dodge, because he parries and stuns you.
I've been using parry instead of weaving before getting to this boss and been struggling. I realized that weaving is a must in this game too. Thank you for this video
Bro literally same this video helped me out so much
How do you weave?
@@SmackEmYakEm Hold L1(block button) and when the enemy is about to hit, tilt your control stick anywhere except up. That's how you weave against high attacks. There are low attacks that make you fall to ground. In order to evade from them, Hold L1 + up. Several bosses have low attacks which can be weaved easily.
@@vaultboy6911 Good that they didnt add Left and Right... and that Up is rare (I hope... ).
The dodge is more of a necessity than the parry honestly
Nice Tutorial, very detailed, nicely done! A tip for the second phase: just stay on normal "block" (hold L1) for the first 2 strikes dont try to avoid them, just focus on the last blows, they should be high hits, here you can evade the damage :)
Yea i noticed the same thing. The low strike is HIGHLY unpredictable... But i realized he never does it after the second hit in his combo. Sometimes its his first, and sometimes its his second. But its never his 3rd or 4th hit. But you still have to be VERY careful, bc when the AI realizes what your doing he'll start canceling his combos with a jump back and rush in again to break your block meter, pretty much forcing you to dodge the first or second hit of his combo. Its tricky either way, but this is a very helpful strategy to focus on during the second stage of the fight. 👍🏾
This is facts no other detail needed , it's just my patience is so bad ik how to beat this guy but he kicks my ass Everytime all cuz I be trying to beat the hell out of him 😂
@@montanadash20 I have fought that guy multiple times, at first the low strikes were unpredictable but as i keep fighting Sean i began to notice follow his animations and that quickly made the low strikes easy to predict as he sometimes keep spamming them.
@@SCLHP666 how to I dodge the low sweep attack he hits me every time and there is no way to avoid it
@BIG belly BURGER hold the block button and push your analog stick up
I went from beating him at age 73 to beating him at age 32 after watching this video so thank you for the tips!
Man his sweep attack was the bane of my existence when I first got to this boss. I have gotten better at avoiding it but I swear I get hit with it 7 out of 10 times lol.
Lol, same here without fail.
i’m trying to beat the level without dying but sean and the two mini bosses before him are my weakness
those damn sweep attacks istg
Getting the ground parry is so clutch.
I said fucc it and jus block the sweep. If im feeln myself ill try avoiding it but yea fucc that sweep 😂. I have not tried ground parry yet but ill give it a try.
@@aaronlebeauf423 the ground parry timing is so ez so I usually parry him on the ground most of the time and then I go for the ground attack.
One thing that has helped me tremendously with Sean is the ground parry ability.
When you have the ability and get hit by a sweep in the 2nd phase, if you immediately spam L1 you will ALWAYS get the parry and some strikes in.
I was struggling beating his phase 1. This video killed my hopes and dreams when I saw phase 2
Don't give up! There are fights in this game that made me want to pull my hair out that I can now win easily just because I've practiced so much and didn't give up! You can do this!
Unlock the ground counter that way if his sweep catches you, you can immediately punish his follow up strike with the counter which will knock him down and allow you to get in a ground attack on him.
Phase 1 is easy tho, he’s so predictable
@@jesuskungfu5597 look at iam so good, stfu you punk
@@Fantastical996 How do you counter and predict the low? They're so rare that you don't know the telegraphing move and it's so random.
You have just changed the whole game for me! i didn't really use the evade mechanic and this boss fight was like banging my head against the wall. but now I use evade on all enemies and the game makes sense to me now. thank you
Just to note you can also punish that three hit string from the guys at the start with the strong strong light strong backbreaker combo, it does a ton of damage and knocks them down.
Just started really using this combo, it’s honestly goated
Wtf is punish?!
@@feistyunicorn1855 like exploiting the opportunity to deal strikes. You are essentially “punishing” their mistake.
Good tips. I will admit, the first time I fought this guy, he seemed invincible. That was, in part, because he _is_ invincible while he's attacking. Once I realized that I needed to treat this more like a give and take (like you mention, avoid his swings until he's done, and _then_ attack) and less like an actual fight (where you'd actively look for counters/interrupts and constantly be jockeying for position and momentum), it got A LOT easier.
The way this guy explains how to defeat him is amazing, thank you alot man. Sub ahead.
Sean wasn’t even an issue it was those two monsters right before. Thank you for including them in the video
Oh dude for real, they kicked my ass so many times before Sean even got the chance to violate me
Thats Monsters only steal me 3 years, Sean Steal the rest of my lige
Great video! The good skill for the second half of the fight is Ground Counter, for whenever he throws those sweeps out. It actually helped me one shot this boss I was able to finish at 20 years
I absolutely despise this boss battle , especially sean”s second phase , he always back away when you try to tackle him and his low-strike is unpredictable
Shxt man, If you think Sean is hard (even tho he is), just quit after you beat him lol... Bc EVERY boss after him is SO much worse!!! The levels themselves dont get THAT much harder as long as you know the enemies attack patterens... But the bosses become an increasingly rapid mixture of high and low attacks, stage 3 and 4 bosses particularly. Its insanely difficult!!!
One tip I have since beating him for the spare ending, all his attacks are easily parried, especially the sweep. What I noticed is if you just try to avoid all his attacks he will keep dashing back and forth until he lands a hit, so what you can do is parry (or block if you have trouble with it) his first hits until he commits to his full combo and then dodge the last 1 or 2 heavy hits and hit him with Heavy > push > follow up sweep > downed punch for max damage.
@@montanadash20 Well, I actually find the next stage the lady artist boss fight to be easier then sean phase 2, her phase 2 is easily telegraphed and anticipatable. As for sean phase 2 is literally aggressive , you can’t tell when he does a low strike and his attacks becomes faster
@@leubzo1436Alright I try that! It seem sean weakness is command grab into leg sweep then ground punch twice..
@@MarvellousMorbing nah her phase 2 is easy... Its her phase ONE that gave me hella trouble. At least Sean only has ONE low attack for you to worry about... She has like FIVE lol... And they're all a mixture of spinning attacks from a chained weapon with blades on it, so unless you have her animations COMPLETELY memorized you cant tell weather she's going high or low... I found a way online to kind of cheese her, wich is the only reason I beat her tbh... But trying to fight her straight up is almost un-do-able
Thank you so so much dude I been at this level for 2 days nonstop trying to beat the club level and almost gave up and damn near deleted it from my console. Then decided to watch your vid and did it on the second try using your tips and beat him age 22. You just gained a new sub and I will be using your tips for the others as well.
After finally managing to beat the first level without ageing once, I thought i was invincible, until Sean turned me into an old man.
I was really struggling with this boss. After watching your video I was able to beat him in 1 go and only lost 3 lives. Thanks man!
Those two martial artists really make it break if I die in that level before Sean. It’s frustrating because you have very few tools other than hand to hand combat to deal with them. Compare this to the similar encounter in The Museum, where the whole thing essentially turns into Splatoon as soon as you start throwing those paint bulbs. My best strategy is to run in, toss the staff I’m holding, and follow up with a few moves on my target. If you’re lucky, you can break one of them before the other has a chance to react.
The boss guides are very nice and I hope you do more, but I'd also like to see a guide on all the stonger, mid-boss style enemies too. There are some encounters in the game that I can absolutely sleep through only to die three times to someone wielding a bow staff or one of the capoera girls.
i hate those two enemy types
My best playthrough was 55. Now it's 26 after I watched this once and did a half-assed attempt on an XP grind run. Bravo.
I'm getting absolutely thrown in and out by Sean, especially in the 2nd phase (aged from 48yo to 74) and damn! Really need to see this guide now!
Excellent video! Thanks a lot. Sean used to beat my ass but, after watching this, I managed to beat him on the first try and barely taking any hits. It's crazy how such a seemingly difficult boss can be beaten easily with the right strategy.
Very helpful thank you but for the second part of the boss battle I recommend using the ground counter ability it helps if you can’t doge back very well and helps to deal a little damage
Once he’s on the floor hold circle (PlayStation) to damage him im not sure what it is on pc
I love that animation for that ground counter, especially on Sean!
Keep it up man! Detailed video. Whatever you’ve explained, you demonstrate. This is how game tutorial/tricks should be done!
I just started this game yesterday and beat Sean last night. He was easier for me than Fajar was, but I've gotten much better at weaving through attacks through a ton of trial and error yesterday. This video is still very helpful.
This part is whooping my ass. Perfect timing on the video! lol.
Just here to express my appreciation. I went from not even being able to beat him, to beating him without dying the next run because of this vid. Thanks so much!!!
Thank for including the two before the boss. Every time I tried to parry/duck their Punches the third one would always catch me. Didn't know why. After you explained there is a slight pause before the third it really helped!
6:42-7:03 just imagine walking by someone listening to this without any context, sounds like the final message from a cult leader to his devotees for they’re last task.
I am playing Sifu now for the first time, day 3 today and thanks to this guide I managed to reach the museum stage at 20 years hold, no life lost! ❤️ Thanks again very very good guide!
Damn, thanks so much! I saw his predictable combo but I wasn't sure when to retaliate. And trying to keep distance had him always doing his push, which opened me up to his full combo. Good video =)
Man, thank you. Headed to the museum at age 24, about 19 years younger than my first trip.
Honestly I didn't expect that this guide is gonna help me that much
First playthrough after watching this video and I'm almost 40 year younger after beating him
I defeated his 1st phase very quick but his 2nd phase just went nuts. I already know how to weave his attacks but knowing when to punish is where I struggle so thx for this guide vid
Instead of focus sweep, do the eye strike. You can sweep them right after with just the up down triangle command. Since the enemy is stunnedfrom the eye strike, the sweep always always works. So you get the damage from the eye strike and the free sweep after for one focus bar. Try it. You'll never focus sweep again.
ok will give it a try thank you
Dude Dustyn, your comment is probably the reason I beat this game. I had to come back to this video to Thank you. Eye strike FTW.
Confirmed does work. Even better you can eyestrike, light attack once and still leg sweep them. Works on bosses too
@@holli45678910 oh snap I'm going to try that
Just Platinum the game today. Best advice I have for Sean’s second phase is to be on the defense. You can’t afford to get beat, especially when you want to get the Prodigal Son achievement, or Spare Sean. Get clean licks when possible, avoid almost always, but rely on parrying if you’re scared of the sweep or your on low health and need a breather.
Yes I beat him at age 25 thanks to you finally Thank you. He's not as hard as I thought tbh.
Tx, your guide is brilliant. He was crushing me then I got to museum age 34 thanks to you. I’m now struggling with what’s her face but your vid in that is cracking too.
Oh you absolute legend. Didn't die a single time because of this tutorial!
just saying thanks. been stuck on sean for about a month. finally gave in and found your vid.
beat him the first time. i hate myself.
Bought this game yesterday made it to him and struggled for three hours, trying to figure it out watching your video made me realize that it kind of tells you at the beginning of the trials that you have to be patient so I did what you said and I beat him for the first time without dying more than once I appreciate it
Thanks man It really helped. After watching this video I beat him at age 29 Instead of dying completely
I’m loving this game. You can spend days trying to level up so you can finally beat a boss only for you to reach a harder one.
Reminds me of DBZ.
Man I watched this video today and finally beat sean. Thank you so much I was in tears once i won. Thank you the freaking sweeps work man thanks alot.
Thanks, mate - I have been struggling with this boss (but LOVING the game!!). Always nice to hear an Aussie accent on the Tubes of You...So many Game of the Year contenders already: Elden Ring, Dying Light 2, Sifu. 2022 may go down in history as the Year of the True Gamer
The Best I have gotten out of this fight with is 22! Starting at Museum. This video helped so much. My main goal is to get a no death run on Sean 🔥
I love how he is saying that he is dying to show us guys so that people do misunderstand and hate this tutorial thinking he is noob
If you get the ground counter move, him tripping you becomes you tripping him. Definitely helped me get the upper hand easily.
"He'll Go 'Eghhghuuhhhyaaa' and that's when you'll hear it, that's when you'll know" that makes more sense than you know
Thanks for the tips man, the guy and the girl before Sean always ruined my deathless runs and i realiced that fighting them seperatly is easy but everytime the attacked at the same time they just pounded my ass.
The first time i played this boss fight i thought he was so hard but its really a joke how easy he is once you memorize his move patterns learn how to avoid and just be patient for those openings
Thank you so much I just beat Sean and only died twice, and it was all because of your advice so thank you!
Here’s his video paraphrased: try to dodge most of the high attacks and just keep spamming between heavy and light
I got to this fight at age 24 on my first and thought I was a Sifu GOD. I got humbled quickly by this dude. Turns out you're not supposed to just ignore entire game mechanics. I finished it at age 43 lol
Boss: Why are you running?
Dan: Punish!
I got through this guy at age 22 thanks to the ground parry. It turns his lows from a problem into easy free damage. Also, when he's low on health at the first stage and you can do a takedown on him, you can grab a staff and then do the takedown. That way you have a staff at the second stage for more damage and stronger blocks.
Other then that, it's really just about learning his attack pattern.
@@_pijn_ yes, this is for when you're knocked down. And yes, avoiding or parrying is obviously better. But it's hard for a lot of people (including myself) to catch his lows sometimes. Having the ground parry means you can punish his low regardless of wether you avoided it or not.
I literally never say this on any video tutorial but this actually helped so much! This guy used to be the bane of my existence but now he’s just an ant under my foot. Thank you!
The sweep attack is so annoying because it doesn't look like its a low. I tried dodging every way until this video, thank you.
One thing that makes this even easier is have the move where you do triangle triangle pause triangle. Kick him down, punch, immediate avoid, repeat.
The main problem people have here isn't that they can't read strings. Sean spams the same two combos forever, but the problem people have is that they try to Parry everything because they don't know about the avoid mechanic at all. The tutorial mentions it once in passing, but then most people forget about it and just rush through the first level without using it at all, which leads directly to getting creamed in the second level, where avoid is more important.
the whole game is worst than all the games ever came out
Finally did it! Very good guide! But that last half of the second phase is a joke! It’s impossible to not lose a few lives there
Legend mate beat the game as Sean kept taking lives early on. I just kept counting 1.2.3 punish lol. TY and subbed.
I bought this on Wednesday, I've just managed to beat him aged 29 and got the kill nil trophy from it. Got a game over doing the museum first time but got the club door code so went back. First time I completed the squats he was in his 70s
Have beaten Sean the other night but not until age 43. That isn’t acceptable so I’ve been going back and trying again and again. The 2 goons out front were what was killing me, by the time I reached Sean I was so pissed off, I couldn’t focus. This helps a ton. Got a new sub tonight!
The details are so good in this game. If you listen closely the sound of impact at the end when you takedown sean the sound is different from when you spare or kill him. Minor detail but it shows they care enough
Helped a lot, finished this at age 21, unfortunately died to the 2 ladies behind the bar in this level
Games like this sort of remind me of childhood games. Like ya know when u played a really hard game when you were a kid, and everyone had trouble with the same game and u went around asking ppl for help and tips and everything. This video feels like that - u have one guy whose just really good and everyone comes to ask him how the fuck to beat the SECOND level hahaha
I'm determined to beat this game before they release a 'difficulty settings' patch
This is so good... I like how you keep going over it.. and continue to show what you are doing. The only strat I came up with for the sweep was to get swept but then quickly use the ground counter with L1 to trip him over and get some blows in... does good damage but means you take damage in the first instance. Gonna try incorporating your idea here... thanks.
Kudos. Thats a beautifuly calm take down of a pita boss :)
Feel like such a numpty for charging him all the time! Cheers
Very helpful! I just beat Sean for the first time earlier thanks to a handful of parrying tutorials, but the trials prior to Sean are proving more difficult for me at the moment. 🤦🏽♂️
Before the fight make sure you have the ground counter. If he does his low attack and you don't dodge it just press lb when you get knocked down and he'll be knocked down
Thank you bro, I've gotten so much better just watching your no death runs and especially this tutorial is really helpful
With your help I beat him at 27.....thank you!!!!
Great tutorial and fun game
I aged up to 70 on him and figured out he’s weak to that slide kick move and squeaked out a win. Gonna try your way
Watched this for 5 mins and beat him first try I love this man
I’m 21. I can fucking wreck every enemy and run the entire club without dying. I start the fight with Sean at age 21. Full health… and Sean keeps beating my ass until I’m 45.
2 years later I found this video. The best I could do is leave a 38. After watching this video and thanks to you I am now leaving Sean at the age of 22! 🎉🥳👏🎊🙌
Thank you so much I FUCKING LOVE/HATE this game. Sifuuuuuu
Edit: I also got the “kill Nil” trophy on PlayStation.
Big Thanks for including the 2 minibosses before that, learning the timing on those is also nice for the later levels.
As for Sean itself, ground counter is a blessing in phase 2 part 2.
Dude that was awesome brother. Reminds me of the opening scene where that traveling bad guy comes to ip man's town and he beats him in his home.
Thanks for being my brain while I'm tilting and dying. It indeed looks easy.
thanks man i was coming into the fight so stressed from the level and aggro, kept dying. great pointers.
I leaned all of this by myself and it feels good when you do it yourself first. I LOVE THE Challenge
Absolutely class tutorial, almost killed him on my last life all thanks to this vid, I'll get him next time !
I make a mistake of playing aggressively. I dodge as much as I can but Christ. I made it to the museum albeit at age 61. Which is a no for me. Thank you for this. I gotta be patient. I see how that pays off. And THANK YOU lots for showing how to beat those two fighters in the beginning. That guys combos have caused me so much anger. I try to dodge his last hit push, but it never seems to work. But seeing this, I think I may have a chance to finally start in the museum at age 23 or even 24. Again, thank you.
I'm gonna try this I got to the second phase last night at age 70 or so and didn't last long I feel like i'm slowly getting better at the game thanks for the tip hopefully this will help me
I find it hilarious that one of the toughest enemies in the game is called "Sean"
For the first people, I found that for the first string (punch, punch, punch), that you can dodge the first, parry the second, and dodge the last; and then immediately hit triangle (or heavy attack) to close the distance and get your triple combo. Also, perfect dodge the low. You get a “punish” moment for a split second.
Sean is my name, it makes me feel like I’m fighting an alternate version of myself since my favorite color is Red
I went from 30-failed run then I watched this video and came in under 35. Thank you so muhc
After dodging his 3 hit combo and punish time comes. If there's a weapon in your hand you do 1 light attack and 2 heavy attacks and it'll put him on his back everytime. If you're barehanded it takes 1 light and then 3 heavies. But same result. He ends up stunned on his back.
Just discovered this and beat him without fault. He becomes one of the easiest in the game.
Finally beat him at 54 so definitely going to go again. He's actually pretty easy besides that low attack in the second stage. If I fight him a few more times, I'm thinking he wouldn't be that hard at all. This is an excellent guide!
Got it down to half that now. 27!
@@LucieOne great! I'm still trying to actually beat him lol
@@joshuacalix1814 He's actually pretty easy at times. I can do the first part without moving my feet at all. The hard part is the second half when he starts going low, but if you stay away from him, you can see the swing better and just run from him and look at the animation. The more he does it, you can recognize it better. I went from 54, to 41 twice and now 27.
Thank so much I lose a lot because I thought the low attack was a high so I keep pressing space plus S and I lose that round I just realized it was an low attack cuz of you thx
Thanks for this video I wasn’t even dodging right this whole time just needed to see someone play ig lol
They should have trails where you can fight levels/bosses that you've already beaten. I don't have enough time to practice with this dude. He eats up all my lives.
Super helpful. Beat him first try after watching this. Got to the club age 20 and finished age 40 so now to rerun until I’m under 30
Yo thank you. I WAS HAVING SO Much TROUBLE with this man
