THEY ARE GREAT. Austin is so gifted it is ridiculous ! Note, that Adam Rupp is singing fills in mid Tenor, he is also multi=talented beyond sound effects ... playing Piano, Drums, Bass Guitar and composing / Arranging Home Free material.
O Holy Night was originally a French poem written by Placide Cappeau in 1847. Adolphe Adam set it to music. It was translated into English by John Dwightg in 1855. So this song has been around for a while. It has been a favorite carol for about 175 years. I think I remember hearing Bing Crosby do this in the 1950s,
Austin has such an incredible voice. He’s classically trained in musical theater. A really wonderful one you would love…” WHEN A MAN LOVES A WOMAN”……. He kills it 🔥🥰‼️🥰🔥
I was just going to recommend that one, too. Also Austin has a good number of songs by himself you may want to check out-Unchained Melody is among my favs but there are many others. Signed new sub.
Here in a lot of the southern U.S., we grew up singing these songs, in church, on school busses going to school, at school for concerts during the holidays. Practice makes perfect, and Home Free exemplifies that.
This is the first thing I heard from Home Free, was blown away! Started my trip down the Home Free rabbit hole and have really enjoyed the journey. Home Fry for life!❤️
They did Do you Hear What I Hear that is absolutely beautiful Adam Rupp did the arrangement. You should check it out. We can all do with a little Christmas spirit through out the year
Adam Rupp has a beautiful tenor and I'm guessing a lot of range, based on the tones of his beatboxing. From what I understand he prefers to not take the lead, but you can hear a small solo in How Great Thou Art. If you want to hear Austin impress again, check out When a Man Loves a Woman or Bring Him Home (live). For Rob, End of the Road and for Tim . . . well, for Tim, just about any song he sings, lol, but Mayday will definitely blow your mind. Loved the reaction, thanks.
Austin does have the most amazing voice, honestly they all do. Adam Rupp has a lovely voice also the few times I have heard him sing when not beatboxing. Enjoyed your reaction, thanks!
Ahhhhhhh, this is soooooo beautiful!!! Definitely one of their best ones. I'm so happy to see you doing this. 💓 Another favorite, totally vocal, no beatboxing, is "How Great Thou Art". Adam, the beatboxer, actually has a tiny solo part & he can also sing beautifully!! And "Amaging Grace" w/Peter Hollens Another great one. Other Christmas greats from Home Free are: "Do you hear what I hear". (Adam arranged it amazingly!) "Angels we have heard on high". "Grandma got run over by a reindeer" (a funny one) "Full of cheer" (Another funny one & original, written by Tim)
"O' Holy Night" has always been one of my favorite Christmas Hymns. I tend to use it as a measuring stick to determine how good singers are. It is a song that requires considerable talent/training to really sing well, so that those listening just get lost in the beauty of the song, and don't notice any deficiencies of music ability. Great reaction! I always enjoy your reaction videos.
Their version of the song Mayday is one where Tim sings in his higher tenor register and Adam Chance sings a solo in a baritone down to bass. They mixed it up a little.
You'll have to check out their version of, When A Man Loves A Woman." Austin really shows off his talent in that rendition of the song! Loved your reaction to this amazing group of singers!!!
Home Free in my opinion does this song extremely well. Really like Tim starting the song and his voice is beautiful and Austin is amazing also in his part. Rob Adam and Chris are so very good and you will hear Chris with the bass while Tim brings out one of his other voices. :) The moving in and out of the scenery adds to the sound to me. Thank you so much for reacting to this beautiful music.
@@YBPlaysMusic yeah because I've been singing this as long as I've been alive...if you look there are versions of Bing Crosby singing this from the 1930's !!!
This, I think, is one of their best. Enjoyed your reaction. In live performances Chris Rupp would sing the bass line if Tim sang the lead. In recordings Tim would usually sing both lead and bass.
Thank you for the Home Free reaction. Austin also has his own YT channel and you could give a listen to his cover of Danny Boy, Unchained Melody, At Last m the Etta James classic and his most recent video Tears In Heaven - every recording a masterpiece. And of course HF's cover of When A Man Loves A Woman. Cheers!
Love your reactions. I'm behind on what you've done. Did you do Mary Did You Know, a new one last Christmas. Incredible harmonies! And the incredible one arranged by Adam Rupp, Do You Hear What I Hear? A couple great Christmas ones, but so worth doing if you haven't. There are many, many more I loved a recent one for harmonies, Bless the Broken Bridge and In the Blood is quite incredible. There many fun ones, I love Workin For a Living. The guys are super funny. A great doo-wop one they do some choreo that's fun is Blue Ain't Your Color. Love that one! Take care.
Love this. They sing another beautiful song in this same church, Angels We Have Heard on High. It’s stunning. Also no beatboxing in How Great Thou Art and Adam actually sings a line in that hymn. He has a nice tenor voice. They have so many good songs out. Some to recommend, Helplessly Hoping, One Man Band, Bless the Broken Road and just released My Country Tis of Thee. Good reaction!
Home Free is very sensitive to song content... some songs are just not meant to have vocal percussion. Others without vocal percussion are How Great Thou Art and Amazing Grace. Now... If you want to see Austin at his absolute most amazing (and have your mind blown), check out Home Free's When a Man Loves a Woman. Austin sings the lead and totally NAILS it.
Other songs where Adam, the beatboxer sings instead of beats (that I've found so far) are “I Can’t Outrun You,” “How Great Thou Art,” and “Helplessly Hoping.”
Absolutely love Home Free. Great reaction! Hope you will react to Marcelito Pomoy singing The Prayer on the Wishbus. (Celine Dion). You will not believe what you are hearing. Amazing talent and no vocal training! Raised himself on the street from the age of seven. Very kind, humble and talented young man. Watch soon....you will be glad you did. Thank you! 👍
Listen to the live version of Austin singing Bring Him Home-there are several performances. But the one I like where Austin is wearing a kind patriotic top; is stunning even though Austin has a cold.
From what I understand the bass parts in this while Tim was doing the solo are layered in with a recording of Tim doing them. Now that Chance has joined he takes over the bass parts when Tim is doing a solo.
Adam's brother is Chris Rupp. They have the same last name. He was the baritone I think. He now has his own reaction channel and he does his own solo work too.
So many people have released this song I'd say at least 50 I'm sure it's more. Tim can go has high as he can low Tim has a amazing. They grow out their beard and mustard in the past 2 years.
If you like this, you might want to consider listening to "Do You Hear What I Hear" The video was done in the Ice Caves in Eden Prairie, Minnesota USA. Absolutely Phenomenal!
You might also want to watch "Angels We Have Heard on High" and (with Peter Hollens) "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For". Love your channel and comments. By the way, O Holy Night" is a well-known Christmas carol. Originally based on a French-language poem by poet Placide Cappeau, written in 1843, Mariah Carey's was, of course, also a cover as have been any recordings of the hymn.

To the maker of this video:(YBPlaysMusic ): Could you please do a comparison video of who sang it best between David Phelps singing his cover version of O Holy Night (Live) with Bill & Gloria Gaither vs Home free also singing their cover of O Holy night? In this video i also would like to hear your opinion as to which of these singers sang this song the best and why(David Phelps or Home free). I think this will be epic.
