Great video! I have never watched anything about opacity layers before. I also appreciate the fact that you teach the illustrator tools on complex designs. Thanks a lot!
This was great thanks for sharing! I've been quietly following your channel for a while now without commenting, but this one really tickled my creative itch.
Dear Martin, thank you for another great tutorial! In one of your short videos (from the year 2019) you’ve mentioned it’s possible to turn on the “GPU view mode” not only in normal but also in the Outline mode. In my preferences panel I have the GPU mode turned on but once I get into the Outline view mode only the CPU is available. I have quite strong device, latest version of the Illustrator and I’m using the Wacom tablet. Could you please give me some guides where to set the GPU for general use, in both: normal and outline mode? Thank you in advance 🌺
The thing is, why when I hover the black opacity mask it doesnt go completely white. There's white opacity beneath it, I can still see the shape, I want it to disappear
This will need to be tested... I am going to work on this technique, and will add the findings when importing it into aftereffects to see how it interprets this shape.

This is genius. I love this non-destructive technique.

Very complicated for something so simple
Nice 🥰🥰
Do you like to send out you final file with masking in place? If so, wonder if that could cause issues in other apps, postscript rendering, etc?
