- How to turn any image into a clean flat design vector logo graphic in Adobe Illustrator CC. You will learn how to create a beautiful simple flat design Banana food.
This video is easy and quick to learn for beginners and intermediate graphic designers looking to improve their skills in Adobe Illustrator CC using some of my tips and tricks.
You will learn step by step how to import an image into Illustrator. Then set it as a template. We will then create the main outlines using the pen tool, shape builder tool, curvature tool, pathfinder when merging as well as how I choose my colours and gradients with my custom colour palette.

Thank you so much! When using the shape builder tool to create the main shape, it didnt work for me. First I had to align the anker points of the several paths on top of each other.

You need to select it, if the layer was locked you can press ctrl+alt+2 for unlocked it

When i tried to give a darker shadow on the bottom side of the banana, my outline stroke of the banana disappeared, why did that happen Dom? What was the mistake?

need to expand for scaling the illustration? because outline with stroke..
If you hit "CMD K" ok your keyboard. Click on "scale stroke and effects" you will be able resize the illustration without affecting the strokes!

I have same problem. I can choose only both ends.
Here's a solution, press ctrl+y to see the thinner lines of the stroke, if the strokes aren't overlapped, it wont't work. Mine worked just fine :)

you can use ctrl+y to see lines thiner and edit them so they overlap, ctrl+y to come back to normal view

Make sure u save ur pics at 1080x1080 dimension at 72 dpi which is perfect for Instagram
@@DomDesigns okay thank you, but I seemed to have solved the color problem by changing the color model from CMYK to RGB. Do you have an Instagram handle?
