Which golf course in Thailand do you think is the best? Have you played in any of these courses? And which course have you added to your golf travel bucket list? Let us know in the comments below.
How can you have the top ten without including Blue Canyon Phuket all the courses you have mentioned are amazing courses but come on guys Blue Canyon got to be in the top ten. Another lesser known course worth a mention is Rajjaprabha Dam course in Kha Sok national park a true hidden gem
Great video! I have played 4 of these courses - Red Mountain is just stunning I played it twice when I was there. Another favourite of mine and it's close to Bangkok, is Riverdale. Give that one a try.
I'm only missing 3: Alpine, Santiburi, and Red Mountain. My favourite from the list is Black Mountain, but this list needs to include all of the Siam Country Club courses.
A very good list of courses in Thailand, and I have personnaly played the 3 courses mentioned in Hua Hin area where I have a condo, and also played Laem Chabang. Golf in Thailand is wonderful having wonderful scenery and lovely caddies makes it a great experience.
I've played 104 different courses in Thailand, mostly between 2004 and 2007, to wit: before a lot of the courses on your bucket list came into existence. I am pleased to say NOT ONE of the 104 courses I played were on your list! So glad. Now I know when I go back and play my own favorite from my list of 104 courses, no one (except Thais) will be there to get in the way. Well almost; Koreans were everywhere BITD and I suspect that's still true. And I got to the courses using the cheapest available public transportation, like the trains, local buses, sangthaeo and motorci taxis. Had a blast.
Looking forward to my retirement in the next few months! I have at least 6 of these on my list. Had no idea the variety of layouts and views are spectacular on several of these! Some of these remind me of So Cal courses. Hopefully the fees are more reasonable!
played 6 out of the 10. The old Siam Course CC in Pattaya was great 15 yrs ago. Surprised no courses listed up North. CM Highlands (I'm a member), Alpine CM, and Santaburi in CR are very good. IMHO 🙂
Good video, too bad you didn't list all the green fees for each course so people could decide if they can even go play them or not when they take a trip.
Great channel beautiful camera & knowledgeable narrative! Hopefully next blog will be in the 48 of U S courses that the masses can play. BeWell Be Safe & Stay Blessed.
I have played 4 of those courses. Laem Chabang is my favourite. I've parred all 3 nines from the tees I use. Sadly not together for a great round. 76 my best. The Old Course is sadly ruined by slow play, last time I was there it was 5 and half hours. The greens are just too hard for high handicaps and it slows things down. Red Mountain is wonderful but again a little too difficult for high handicappers. I played Chee Chan a couple of months after it opened. The experience was spoiled by sanded greens. Couldn't get mid irons to stop.
While Thai courses are stunning and fun to play… I couldn’t handle the heat. One course in Pattaya, didn’t offer water beyond the 9th hole and I actually got heat stroke. I sweat so much, I had problems holding the club properly. I may go back again to retire in a few years, and I’m not sure I’ll bring my clubs, because of the heat.
Banyan in Huahin and Thai Country in Bangkok are beautiful courses. But there are so many courses in Thailand well worth playing. A Golfers dream really.
Firstly when are foreigners going to learn to pronounce Pattaya correctly. the correct pronunciation is Patt a yar NOT Patt ay a It's a short a sound in the middle and a long a sound to finish. Secondly I have played 1/2 of the courses mentioned and will add Chee Chan to the list next month. The remaining courses, especially those mentioned for Bangkok are far too expensive for the average golfing tourist to even consider. There are numerous courses in Thailand equally as good as those mentioned and more affordable. I guarantee if you included the price for green fee, caddy & cart most golfers would give them a big miss. As a long term Thai resident, living in Chaing Mai Province, I get the benefit of something that most provinces do not offer at their golf courses, especially those down south, and that is the opportunity to pay the same rates as Thais rather than the inflated rates for foreigners visiting as tourists.

1. Black Mountain
2. Red Mountain
3. Banyan
4. Santiburi
5. Springfield

@2:26 That's the 18th hole at the K Club in Ireland.
Yes that is not Black Mountain
I'm only missing 3: Alpine, Santiburi, and Red Mountain. My favourite from the list is Black Mountain, but this list needs to include all of the Siam Country Club courses.
Nikanti, Riverdale and Amata Spring.
I played all courses excluded Red mountain and i fully agree with the list even if you have many courses in Thailand as in Chiang Mai or KhaoYai

Played Santiburi in Koh Samui two weeks ago, beautiful.
@@Rick095x cool. Headed there to pay Friday
Played 6 of these courses and all great, but No. 1 Red mountain is fantastic to play.
Amazing, lucky you!
Amata Spring, Royal Bang Pa-In, Grand Prix Golf Course, Alpine Chiangmai, Gassan khuntan etc...

You haven’t played red mountain? You’re missing out
Koreans are everywhere this season. By far more than ever before. They are in huge groups on courses I never saw them on before.
I have played 5 of the 10 courses (10, 9, 8, 4 & 2). I hope to play 3 more of them (7, 6 &5) this coming October.
Looking forward to my retirement in the next few months! I have at least 6 of these on my list. Had no idea the variety of layouts and views are spectacular on several of these! Some of these remind me of So Cal courses. Hopefully the fees are more reasonable!
Played 6 of them , but my favourite course was Soi Dao Chantaburi , though Laemchabang was class

Hi - any recommendations if I can only play one course in Chiang Mai? Looking between Highlands and Alpine
@@andrewt2907 Highlands
Siam courses. With Old course the best. Played all but two of these on clip. Would add Nikanti and Royal Gems. Would love to play Amata Springs

I have played Valderrama four times❤
I am stunned you don't have Chatruim near Soi Dao I have to say one the best courses I have ever played in my top 5 easy
I’m thai. I used to go to black mountain once bc it’s expensive ;-; but their fairways are so good

Gonna play Red Mountain with my kid next week. Golf in Thailand sure is expensive but well, when you're already in Phuket whatsha gon' do?

Do you prefer banyan over black mountain
Played them all except #1 and #3
Many of your pictures for Black Mountain Hua Hin are actually from Black Mountain in Kelowna, BC Canada
Hello how is your day going there
@andrewbutler8880 I was going to point out the same mistake. Black Mountain Hua Hin is stunning.
Why no blue canyon
Siam old course was great
We would love to play that course as well! Have alsoyou had the chance to play at any of the other courses?
Blue canyon in Phuket
yes, please
No Amata Springs? Another course Tiger won at
❤❤❤
Banyan is over rated and in poor condition whenever I've played it. Some greens are just silly in the amount of slope and depth of the green surface.

John what are the sort of total prices for the shown courses? I’m from U.K. & was hoping to go for a golfing holiday to Thailand.
Many thanks Rob
There's no "r" in Pattaya. Come again please with the proper pronunciation.
Possibly the worst list I have ever seen compiled, you missed so many and the fact Leam Chabang was mentioned sums it up. Very strange list.
Bro. You have pictures of black mountain in Kelowna.
