@@insylem Rolls Royce didnt make this particular engine. CFM 56-5B that are installed on this Airbus A321 is built by CFM. CFM parent company is GE Aerospace and SAFRAN
I work on those same engines you would be surprised how many times I seen that oring installed incorrectly. Honestly it’s a stupid design that allows to much room for incorrect installation. The thing is the mechanic should realize it’s not correctly installed because after the drain plug is torqued it will squish the green back up seal out. It should be obvious something is wrong but I’ve seen it like that many times. There are 2 orings on that drain plug a regular oring and a green back up oring the regular black oring just sits in the drain plug recess but people but people install it in a groove on the drain plug where it looks like an oring would go. Like i said it’s a stupid design it’s the only time I’ve ever seen an arrangement like that on any filter plug. Better to keep it simple.
So relieving to hear that the crew made a precise decision and handled the situation with expertise unlike some other cases where the crews wasted some critical time and ended up costing lives of innocent souls.
Once again skilled pilots with hours upon hours of training overcame the delinquent maintenance of someone on the ground who at worse would be fired but still alive if the aircraft had crashed.
Was any action taken against the appallingly incompetent business and / or persons who performed the maintenance? If not, what's to stop them doing it again?
I don't know about this airline, but in the USA, woke policies are creating a real danger with quota hiring individuals based on everything but mechanical skills.
If the engine manufacturer changed the design, one would think that it was actually a design fault. Wish that happened on cars instead of all the wet belts and such bullshit that happens daily now.
Watched all your videos last night and the narration is so on point, the visuals you use are top-tier. I just had to subscribe to the channel and am So happy you made a new video. Keep these videos coming and I hope the channel takes off very soon and gets hundreds of thousands of subscribers like the other channels.❤👌🏽.
Some of these videos show captains and pilots that are wreckless and don't handle situations very well, but for the most part, these pilots are extremely skilled and are very admirable. I mean, come on, show of hands how many people would absolutely panic and have a heart attack if the giant metal tube they're in control of lost an engine mid-flight? 🙋 But these pilots? God damn. So much respect.
That's an impressive paint job, no one can say they didn't see that aircraft in the sky 👌 This is a good video - I watch a lot of aviation content & it's nice to find a channel that I can actually enjoy listening to, there are a few that the narrator is AI & I cannot cope with the mispronunciation of names, technical words & places, so thank you for making good content & listenable narration!
A skilled flight crew makes the difference in these kinds of situations. It's just as well they checked the rest of the engines that had the improper installation method done on them.
They should have retarded the power lever at 7000ft.....and not continued climbing at climb power ... They are lucky the engine didn't disintegrate.. Poor airmanship. Would you continue to drive your car with a red oil light????
Wow indeed. This is some high quality videos. And i am here from the beginning to see this channel get hundreds of thousands of subs. Keep it up and good job

IMO what has been happening with Boeing is an American tragedy. They were one of our greatest, if not the THE greatest, companies our nation has ever produced. They represented what America was capable of to the rest of the world. I don't like it when people clap after landing. But in this case, it was very appropriate. Excellent pilots! Great channel, I love the narrator's tone of voice, the videos and case presentations are also excellent! Thank You!
Good thing they made the decision to turn back, instead of trying to continue to Baltimore. They'd have been screwed big time when that second leaking engine failed.

Great video. Only suggestion . When saying the runway number say it as a two single digit number. For example two eight rather than Twenty eight
Good graphics and excellent account..
Accurate research of the failures...
Thank you.
Just a small niggle: Nobody says "Runway nineteen" or "Runway twenty-eight". "Runway one-nine" and "runway two-eight" respectively.
Can you talk about TAM 3054 that happened in Brazil? Tanks.
It's so comforting hearing one of these stories that ends in no crash, deaths or injuries.

Only 3 quarts of oil left in a jet engine?! That's crazy, that's even less oil than what most car engines require to run properly without blowing up.
My little coupe takes 7 quarts 😂 I wouldn’t even dare put 5. The engine lasting long enough to land was purely a miracle.
Well it didn't last long enough. It was shut down mid flight because it ran out of Oil. @@RickySpanish168
