My compliments for the script writing! You have an excellent way with words, elegant and poetic without becoming dramatic. The way it blends in with keeping it technical matches no other channel I know of. That includes the most popular/biggest ones.
I love your videos! They are made with incredible quality so frequently too! I hope your channel receives more attention. Also, you somehow made a video on both the things I love - Astronomy and Aviation ❤
I give your props, the amount of research and work it takes to make these entertaining videos so good and informative. Man has found the sauce to something he probably enjoys doing and making money from and the consumer like me is enjoying tf outta it. Make a patreon!
Suggestion for future videos: Some air colisions that have happened. Brazillian football team Chapecoense disaster. And also, when more information is given, the most recent one in São Paulo, Brazil. Keep up the great work!
I qctually watched like 5 of your videos and thought that you're a channel with like a million subscribers. I was surprised when i saw that you have just less than 100k. You have a really good content and i will sub to you as everyone watching should!
Your content is so good it feels wrong to watch it without paying for it. You’re a legend 😌! I will be sharing your content. Thank you for putting your all into all your content 🙂↔️☺️
Great videos Hope to see more from this channel It’s like the old show seconds before disaster but just for planes It’s really interesting to watch, sad but interesting
Hello! I love these documentaries!😮 Rest in peace to all the people that have perished in these accidents.😢 Could you document the crash of Yeti Air 691? What caused the crash?
As a Colombian, I remember vividly seeing this on every TV channel (being 7 yo at the time). I remember there being a Nanny in the split section of the plane just in the row where it broke down, which decided to hold a kid instead of bracing. The kid survived thanks to this. This is the TV transmission that I remember the most from the TV channel we used to tune at lunch. ruclips.net/video/Sp4E2nB3qEo/видео.html . (Thankfully they apparently keep an archive on RUclips since 13+ years ago). Here I found also interviews with survivors (most of which don't remember a thing after the accident if you don't speak Spanish) ruclips.net/video/ZQvbTATBSQg/видео.html and fragments of the press conference with the Airline.
Every pilot should be taught, when they're training for their instrument rating, that you a) never descend below the published altitude on the chart and b) when descending from the VDP on a non-precision approach you always continue to use the VASI/PAPI to land at the captain's bars and never, ever dive for the threshold - especially at night. Somewhat similar accident to what happened to a UPS flight where the captain put it right into a hillside that was a few hundred feet in front of the runway threshold.
Thank you for another world class air accident investigation video - Unlike the pilots featured in your superb productions, you keep getting better and better.
This accident was the, result was a poorly flown approach, and was completely pilot error. All this rubbish of a black hole is nonsense, these pilots were flying an instrument approach knowing their distance from touchdown and the altitude that they should have been flying. The only time they should have been looking out was reaching MDA, if the runway is not seen, then a missed approach must be initiated. The problems started when the inexperienced captain disengaged the autopilot, putting pressure onto the F/O. The 737-700 is more than capable of flying itself down to MDA. Pilot error again.
Hello. I agree with you. A lot of unbelievable mistakes. But be aware. The investigator has a tendency to blame pilots. EASY. PILOT ERROR. Mediocre and maybe corrupt
Surprised that this accident only caused 2 deaths, but still 2 deaths too many, RIP So many of these accidents are because the pilots went with the gut and ignored the instruments telling them what to do
I get that the "visuals" from the cockpit are animation, but since they didn't instigate TOGA, they had visual on the runway and the animation showed PAPI lights! They are specifically there so the "black hole illusion" doesn't happen, you keep eyeing the PAPI and keep it two white two red and you are correct glide path! Was the animation incorrect and San Andres lacked PAPI lights?
I feel like we have the technology to have a fully automated plane able to make necessary adjustments through AI autopilot. It seems much easier and more safe than these autonomous self driving cars. If only one car was on the road the self driving would be a perfect system. An airplane basically flys like its the only car on the road.

Very cool video👍. If one of the pilots look at the PAPI lights near the runway that stormy night, i think that accident could've been avoided.

Do you think it could have been avoided by taking a go around as soon as they got terrain warnings?
The final report stated that
Every pilot should be taught, when they're training for their instrument rating, that you a) never descend below the published altitude on the chart and b) when descending from the VDP on a non-precision approach you always continue to use the VASI/PAPI to land at the captain's bars and never, ever dive for the threshold - especially at night. Same for boats at night. Light always are closer than you think.

The irony of this being an iris flight and them falling for a visual black hole illusion is not lost on me
Aires, that's a Spanish (rather improper) plural for "Air" but also an acronym for the full legal name of the airline.
Scary, giving me nightmares

up until 5:13 I thought this might be AI.... now I'm thinking if it is it's damn good! But serisouly I'm happy that your a real person 👍

Im watching at 12:37 PM in the afternoon
That's just a combo of the most unfavorable terrain all in ome flight.
I hope that the airline fired his azz after such an incompetent disregard of ground proximity warning…

Holy.. 3 days after i was born
I thought black holes effect happens only when landing at night with no ruways lights , vasi or papi .
Is there any reason why you guys use imperial units instead of metric? Is that the norm for pilots to use or is it just a personal preference?
In aviation, imperial units are widely used, even internationally, because of historical conventions and international agreements
And they say Ryanair has hard landings
How do u make the video clips
I clicked so fast, when I saw a new vid🤣
