Depends on the model of your Helios lens. I have a Helios-44 with M39 thread mount. I believe this is the earlier version of the Helios M series that use M42 mount. If you have the lens with you, you can measure the diameter to confirm if you have M39 or M42 Helios-44 (no "M") adapter is most likely M39 to NEX Helios-44M and above, M42 to NEX Hope this helps 😊
i know that you asked him the question but since there is no answer given to you , i can share my experience with you, if you already have an nd filter , you can buy a stepup ring for your nd filter and use it for that helios lens.
Thank you for the video, it blows away my doubts :) I'm thinking about changing of my canon 600d with a7c, but I'm on a budget, so wish to use my father's Helios-44, Mir-1B and Jupiter 37A (like I did with canon). And I'm into cinematic vintage look, so It would be bingo. But I can't find any info about how does gyro works with adapted lenses. It must work with any lenses if I understand the technology right. But If I'm not, tell me please should I count on gyro?
That why Greig Fraser used it on the Batman: match the anamorphic look, and he can have compact (and crashed) set up for the car chase scene!
It's a MUST have lens ✅✅✅
I am using one of this and i can tell you, this is the best lens ever
Great video, deserves more views!
Perfect lens, especially for flashback scenes
Helios 44-2 is THE MOST mass produced lens ever, if i remember correctly they made like 3 million of these
really interesting to know the history
What is the lens you are shooting the macro shots of the lens with? The second copy?
2:06 spiolers. it wasn't.
nice review!
I have one on my a6000 right now.
What adaptor should i get to use this lense for my Sonyalpha-lll?
M42- e mount (nex)

any good examples of people that have used it in video content ?
Great vid!! I'm just struggling to mount my KMZ-made Helios 44 13 blade lens to my A7iv. Any help would be appreciated!
What are you struggling with. You should only need an M42 to Sony E adapter. Or did you by any chance happen to get a version with a M39 mount?
if you got a super early version it has a m39 mount
how do keep it in focus? u think it's good for interview?
It's a manual focus
what is the filter size ? to shoot video what type of ND filter do you think would be best? Nd 10?
This depends on the lighting conditions right?
It's a 49mm filter size
Do I have to shoot in APS-C mode with this lens?
no full frame works
are you able to put nd filters on them?

I've just ordered a de-clicked 1979 version of the Helios. I can't wait to try it out
Симпатичный парень!))
5x funky in the first 60 seconds ... i knew this would be bollocks.
400€ on Biotar 58 mm
Will NOT focus to infinity. It focuses to almost infinity. Why not talk about that?
Why Sonys? Any mirrorless cameras work great with adapted lenses. Canon and Nikon have caught up you know...
