Andy Reid has been around for many years with different teams but found his home with the Chiefs. Happy for him. It was well deserved. Helluva football team. Every team member played outstanding. Mahomes is phenomenal.

I'm a Giants fan, but I stockpiled on mahomes rookie cards.
💯I started following sports and became a Chiefs fan in the mid 1990s, when they were a regular season powerhouse but couldn't win a playoff game to save their lives. How sweet it is to go from only distant memories of SB IV before my time to 3 SB wins in 5 years!
Andy Reid is a prime example of why you should never give up on what you to accomplish. So happy for him.

@@ChiefsGirlSince1989 To be fair, you don't necessarily have to "piss away the lead" against the Chiefs. They simply oppose their offensive will and take leads, regardless of the opponent's plans. Everyone wants to blame Shanahan for not rushing enough or whatever, but when the run defense is forcing 3 and out every drive, sometimes you have to also try to pass... SF didn't piss away a lead. They just got beat.

The Falcons that year had a STAR ROSTER and now we learn that it was Shanahan that blew it for them. And he did it again with the 49ers. The 49ers had an unstoppable roster this year. A monster of a D and a solid offense yet Shanahan decided to play chicken with the clock near the end of the second quarter.
He blew his second chance at actually winning a Super Bowl and proving people wrong on his Falcons loss. But he just proved ALL of them right and vindicated the Falcons fanbase. Will this 49ers team be the same team next year? Seriously doubt it, what a fucking waste.

As a Niners fan, i knew it was over right when they started celebrating while still having A QUARTER LEFT to play. They were the most talented in the regular season and stormed through the playoffs only to let the cocky attitude get in the way. Did the NOT know the Chiefs came back down 24 against the Texans very quickly just a few weeks ago?!?!!

He shouldn't have even scored. If he had done a Russell Westbrook, 3 knees would have ended it. The clock would have kept running on that play (unlike the later interception), so even Mahomes dancing around wouldn't have been necessary.

As someone who has no NFL fandom, that was one hell of a Super Bowl and as disappointed as the Niners fans may be, I have no doubt they will win a championship this decade.

I became a fan at the age of 9 listening to the Chiefs lose the longest game ever played to the dolphins in 1972 on the radio at my grandparents. 47 years later after so many "this year for sure" moments with a couple of Shottenheimer coached teams and Vermeil coached teams get so close and finally see my team win! Two weeks after the game I am still watching and enjoying all the highlights!!!

Take what the Chiefs did in their come from behind scores! The..Niners..Could..Do..the..Same..Thing! They have that talent, and are just as volatile as the Chiefs...its the Super Bowl!!

@@detomasopantera1966 the thing is that is too close to see if he stepped BEFORE crossing and the refs don't have 10 minutes to deliberate, plus the rule states that it has to be "undeniable evidence". Whatever they called on the field would've stood, be it the TD or him stepping out. And don't blame the refs, they missed a lot of calls FOR BOTH sides.

Mahomes is so incredible, it's hard to put in to words as a lifelong Chiefs fan. Him diving on the fumble was such a big little play. And my personal favorite is him yelling to his teammates to "finish this game" when it still wasn't over. 3:43 Everyone else is celebrating and he knew that the job still needed to be finished. He is a true leader in every sense of the word.
