Tip that has been working for me: after I rinse out my conditioner in the shower and apply my leave in, I clip my hair back up (in one big clip for this step) and put a plastic cap on for about 5 mins after getting out of the shower. The goal is to let the leave in conditioner benefit from the steam in the shower
My shower hack: Rotate shampoos. I have a protein one, a moisturising detangling one, a clarifying one, Olaplex Bond building shampoo and a scalp treatment shampoo. Sometimes they overlap like I think the Olaplex one is very moisturising as it's sulfate-free.
In addition to the tips given in this video, I would like to suggest to every type 4 person out there to detangle their hair when the pre - poo has fully absorbed into the hair that way you are ridding the hair of all tangles and shed hair accumulated within the days of not managing or manipulating your hair. Then put your hair in a few loose plaits prior to shampooing. Make sure that the plaits are loose at the area close to the scalp to ensure easy access and thorough cleansing of the scalp. You can still condition or deep condition with the plaits, just work it in very well. That way, you do not need to detangle while in the shower since you did not wash your hair in its loose form and it tangles back up. This way you will save tons of time during wash day. Have a great weekend, Tonya!
Before I even watched this video, I already do the 'hair first then body' method. I also like to pre-poo (coconut oil) the night before a wash day and get it all sectioned up. That way in the morning I can just go straight into the shower. One more thing, if it can help, I know wash day can be long for some and vary from person to person but you can always play some music, while you are in the bathroom. Make it fun instead of boring.
I love washing my hair (locs) while taking shower on wash day… because it steaming and it easier. I wash then condition while I wash my body then I rinse out. I like to use a cotton Tshirt instead of a towel. Then I oil my scalp and hair and air dry… thanks for the confirmation of what I’m doing is good for my hair.
My shower hack is doing as much as you can before hopping in the shower. I detangle with oil and put into sections before getting into the shower. After detangling and putting my hair in sections I add my onion juice prepoo. Then I jump into the shower to rinse and shampoo. My hair is high porosity and this method makes my wash day go by a little faster.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your hacks! On my wash day what I normally do is once I’m done washing my hair.. I put on my deep conditioner, put a plastic shower cap & then I go on to do my body. ONCE I’m done & keep my deep conditioner in & sit under a hooded dryer for aprx 30 mins. Once that’s done I just put my hair under the faucet to rise the deep conditioner out & from there I go on to style my hair! I refuse to go back into that shower once I’m out & dry & dressed!!! 🙃🙃🙃🙃🙂🙂🙂
I put my hair in a few loose twists (about 8) while prepooing, and keep it in twists whilst washing and conditioning, (I untwist each to condition though, then twist back up to rinse out) so in that way it doesn't tangle. When I come out of the bathroom it's just to squeeze out the excess and let it airdry, and when it's time to style- it's already detangled, so easy peasy!
These are all good hacks however, currently California has a water shortage so I had to modify my routine a little bit. Wash my hair in the kitchen sink (disinfect the sink afterwards) put in my conditioner and hop in the shower and let the steam work through my hair while I cleanse and exfoliate my body. I don’t sacrifice the health of my hair but I’m also trying to do my part to conserve water. Praying for God to saturate us with some rain!!!!
One of the things that has really helped me is putting on my leave-in condish in the shower, then putting plastic caps over for 15 min before styling my hair
I got a shower mirror and started using a conditioner to detangle before I put my deep conditioner in. I always thought a conditioner was a waste but because I have high porosity hair I need all the moisture I can get on wash day and detangling with that conditioner after washing with a clarifying shampoo has been a game changer for my hair.

@@sunrae7680 I used to do that when I was making @Naptural85 Black soap shampoo. It wasn't bad but I didn't fall in love with it. I use a scalp massager to shampoo my scalp, and to detangle my hair after i put in conditioner. It’s incredible! It feels so good while I’m shampooing, and i don’t have to worry about damaging my scalp by scratching it with my nails. And it’s really gentle on the hair when you use it as a brush.
Thanks for "permitting" the in shower steam treatment. I went from rinsing my hair then deep conditioning under a heat cap and then doing the shampoo routine so I wouldn't have to get in and out of the shower, to now pre poo, shampoo, deep condition, out of the shower under heat, back in the shower to rinse...😭 My wash days take HOURS and it can be frustrating sometimes. I get a mindset shift could be helpful but time is time. So I think I will start steam treating and doing more body care while the hair mask is steaming. I get very rigid in my thinking at times and believe there's only 1 way to achieve results so it was nice to hear that results can be achieved in another way and in a lot less time. Hope it works out for me. Thanks!💕
I don’t have any hacks bc I do most of what’s in this video, but I’m glad to see I’m not the only one who washes my hair first then do body stuff. I hate hopping back in the shower, so it made sense to me to deep condition while I shave, wash, etc. That way once I’m out, I stay out. I’m also glad to see others leave some conditioner in their hair. I mainly do that if it’s a Design Essentials conditioner, it always leaves my hair silky smooth!
I use the detangle brush, and use the Camille Rose Algae Renew deep conditioner with cocoa and mango. The slip is so much on point, the brush just glide through. I will continue to use her conditioner
I do most of these except I wash my hair in twists instead of using sections and I don’t use clips in the shower. I also don’t detangle my hair in the shower. These wash day conversations are always fascinating to me. I’m always intrigued by people who say they detangle their hair in the shower. I have never been able to do that except for the first year of being natural. I don’t know if it is because of the texture, thickness or length of my hair, but I can’t separate it at all when it is soaking wet. I usually detangle my hair before I place the washing twists and then again once my hair is 70-90% dry. This has been the most effective method for me for at least 10 years.
1. Bending forward while washing out shampoo and conditioner from the hair (so it doesn't come in contact with the body as much). 2. Using a cotton t-shirt instead of a towel.
I think I am using most of the techniques you mentioned. I think the nozzle technique is most helpful, I've been using this for almost 2 years (thx to BBO products 😀) I do the apply conditioner in the shower, then put my plastic caps on. Shower mirror is also helpful 😌. Doing everything in sections definitely helps too. I do my hair in at least 6- 8 sections. SheRae DelSol (hope I spelled her name right ) said she applies her DC like she's applying a relaxer. I can say that this technique gave me the the best DC I've ever had.
Using both a detangling shampoo and a detangling & moisturizing conditioner for my fine high porosity hair made my wash day so beautiful. The pre poo with coconut oil helped too
Thank you for the tips . Just being in the shower letting that water run through as I go through the steps boost my hair wash day especially when my hair is dry.
Your hair is looking good! The shampoo in a nozzle bottle is a really good idea. I used to use hair ties to section but I think they were too damaging. I just bought the crocodile clips and I am not going back to the hair ties. I don't know why I didn't switch to the clips sooner I see everyone using them. TJ Maxx always has them for cheap.
I most definitely detangle with my diy aloe pre-poo. Saves me so much time. My shrinkage is real, so washing whole my hair is in twist doesn't work because they come undone. I use the clips you were talking about to help me keep my sections. I do 5 because the middle of my head of my problem child lol.
@@SimplyChelse I go back and forth between Naptual85's mix and ShaRae Del Sol. Naptual85's is just aloe blended well. Put on scalp and hair first to detangle then add oil of choice. I like olive oil. ShaRae's is aloe vera mixed with fenugreek and peppermint essential oil. I do this one maybe once a month. I also make ShaRae's diy leave in conditioner
Hey beautiful sis. Thanks for your amazing videos. My hair hack is as follows. I never use shampoo neat. I mix some with water in a separate bottle. I find it distributes more evenly, it's easier to thoroughly rinse out. Plus, less wastage/shampoo lasts longer. 👌🏾
Your shower WD tips are on point and happy that I use the majority of them too. I try to conserve water by prepoo detangling, massaging shampoo onto my scalp in sections (game changer!) out of the shower then wash, rinse & apply conditioner in the shower; I rinse out conditioner with detached shower nozzle after I've showered as I like to leave it in for 20-30min; also I just squeeze out the excess water and apply leave in/oil & don't use any towels on my hair. As home spa day treat, I use facial steamer for my face AND hair as I apply and comb through DC twice a month. FYI love your PMP method works great for my hair :)
I do body 1st then hair when to allow the steam to maximize my DC. I take advantage of my detachable shower head and I have to be intentional about my head/neck position so I don't get splashback on my body!!
I’m surprised to hear that your wash day is the same as mine. Nice! I’m from the old school where you get your hair washed then sit under the dryer with a plastic cap on for a deeper conditioning. But as I’ve gotten older I don’t feel like doing all of that. So I do as you do. And voila! Hair is good to go 👍🏽 Tfs 🤗
I’ve learned to use lots of water when washing/detangling/conditioning. I also stretch my hair when detangling in the shower. It’s a game changer. I also can’t use a brush in shower but got the good and CHEAP shampoo comb from Ulta and it’s a vibe.
Ooooooh, Gurrrrl. I NEEDED this video. Even after prepooing and getting all the shed hair and tangles, I still have to fight tangles with the shampoo, then with the conditioner, then with getting out of the shower, then with the comb. You've given us excellent ways to handle our hair. You're wonderful. Thanks so much. My hair will not bully me any longer!
In my experience if your shampoo or conditioner leaves you with tangled hair to where it's a chore to detangle, you might want to look into getting another brand.
Hi Gloria. Another suggestion for the continued tangles is, you might need to clip your ends. Maybe a dusting or actual clip. After I do that it is much easier to detangle. Check your ends out. Good luck!
I used the greenhouse effect when applying leave-in, and then again when I finish my LCO method. Meaning, I apply leave-in first and put a plastic cap on my head while I take care of my body after getting out of the shower. The heat allows the leave-in to get into my strands. Once I finish the body lotions, etc., I then get the LCO process completed and wear the plastic cap to let the heat stimulate the products. I'll be honest, since watching your channel, my hair has been growing. While I was home (a lot) due to the pandemic, my hair grew. The first chance I could get out, I went to get a hair cut and I chopped off 12 inches. Yes, my hair grew fast during the pandemic because I had a lot of time on my hands to be consistent with my hair processes. Amazing! Thank for all that you share.
After putting your leave in and shower cap on for the greenhouse effect, when you proceed to the LCO do you add more leave in or just use water then cream then oil?
@@latasiatatum5996 The leave-in simply primes the hair to receive whatever else is going to be applied afterwards. The greenhouse method allows the product to truly soak into the stands faster before applying the moisturizer and oil. I have low porosity hair and that's why I use the greenhouse before layering products. So, it's leave-in, greenhouse, moisturizer, greenhouse, then oil to hold everything in. It sounds laborious, but it isn't. I love giving my hair the best care for its type. Using this method does make my hair grow at a rapid pace. During the pandemic my hair grew a lot. The first chance I could get a professional haircut, I chopped off 12 inches. That left my hair in a cute bob just at the top part of my neck. I didn't want my hair to touch my shoulders. Genetics play a part as I'm Blacian, so I share with authenticity. I have very thick, course, low porosity hair. I hope this helps.
@@latasiatatum5996 The greenhouse effect generally keeps my hair totally wet, so no extra water is needed. I only add extra water as needed. But generally no extra water is needed. I hope this helps.
@@lulubellek3988 yes when you said greenhouse then LCO I was is she L greenhouse then LCO, I get it I just do LOC but use grease as my oil so I guess LGC 💩 I’m low porosity to but find i have to do my LOC method on damp hair instead of super wet I get the best moisture and mist define twist outs for the week
This is a great video and you are so much fun to watch. I started out using then nozzle applicator, the slacked off. So glad I got this reminder. The take away for me is to take more time and leave a small amount of conditioner in my hair. I also love the interactions and have learned more.
I have been waiting for this video. I have question Is your guide available for purchase for Canadians? 🇨🇦🤗🇨🇦 The rest of the questions were answered in this video. Could you do a video focusing on those of us who have SHORT hair? Are there things we should be doing differently, because our hair is short. Thank you.
My shower hack is to run my bathroom heater and let the shower run to steam up before I do my hair. I detangle as I rinse out my DC. It's a breeze. I use a similar brush. I want to add a shower mirror.
I have been doing my hair first and body second for decades as well as leaving some conditioner in. You're absolutely right it saves soooo much time. I used thyme for the first time and it stinks really bad. Can you recommend a carrier oil?
Could you pleaser go over and do a review/thoughts on As I am restore and repair Jamican Black Castor Oil Water would leave a chemist POV on this product
1. I don't wash in the shower. I wash old school in my sink since I have a high placed detachable nozzle. 2. I always DC & use a plastic + heated cap. 3. I only comb/detangle on wash day w/shampoo & DC & my last detangle is my final DC rinse 4. DC rinse only 75% of it out w/cool water. Leave a slight film of it on (Mom taught me that).
Great veeedeeo! I do so many of these. One hack that has worked great for me is to keep all of my fave cleansers & prepoos together, DC's together, & go-to stylers together. It makes it easier for me to see & rotate wash-day products. Also, twists during DC. Thanks Tonya! xoxo 🌸🌸🌸
Enjoyed the video. Great idea about putting the shampoo in a bottle with a nozzle. It was frustrating as how to get the shampoo, that's all over my hands directly to the scalp....since that's where it should be. Brilliant idea! I did buy the shampoo you suggested with the nozzle from Carol's Daughter with aloe vera that was considered a gentler shampoo. It didn't work for my hair. It felt like straw after I washed it out. It's true...all hair is not the same and it will tell you what it likes and not like. Amazing!
In the shower:_Using warmer water to wash and condition hair. Cooler water to close cuticles. Question: Do you have tips on how to take care of hair of mature women going through the change of life? Especially when hair becomes more highly porous and other parts of the hair are medium porosity. Thank you.☺
I have never detangled my hair outside of the shower. I only comb through it when it's nice and slippery. Actually, when I step out of the shower, my wash & go is usually complete with all the products.
I definitely can attest to detangling in the shower. I do this when I put my conditioner in. I take a wide tooth comb and starting at the roots work my way up to detangle my whole head. Not only does this help distribute the conditioner evenly but it also makes styling it out the shower easier. I’ve been doing this since 2015 and I have very coarse thick hair so this has been great. Styling is not as painful
I always detangle my hair under running water. It is so much easier to do. I take my time and start at the ends. Once it's detangled, hair is smooth as butter.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge, it's been so enlightening! Ive used an empty Sports bottle of Poland spring w/ nozzle, clarifying shampoo mixed w/ water, food quality peppermint oil as a shampoo ....I wash my body after conditioner or deep condition out of the shower and rinse in the sink because my skin is breakout prone and the conditioner covers my skin in a film.
Instead of replacing your detangling brush often try cleaning it with barbicide. Its what the barbers and hairstylist use for their hair tools. You can clean your hair brush throughly then mist spray the barbicide on the brush bristles & let air dry. L'ange has some soft padded sectioning hair clips that I love & has protected my curls from snags and breakage like I got using the metal duck bill clips.
Oh rinse off pre-poo then shampoo. I didn't get that memo. Been shampooing my pre-poo. Recently started watching your videos and started to pre-poo. Love your hairdos. Would love to see some demonstrations.
Hi, what is your opinion on taking care of locs or should I ask someone who specializes in locs. I love what you teach for taking care of natural hair and I consider Locs an honor to have.
What you described is more "hair-body-hair". The problem is conditioner can cause breakouts and acnes on the body. So you are supposed to wash your body again after rinsing the conditioner out.
Thank You for this video. I needed these hacks to help make wash day a lot more pleasant and easier experience. Awesome video😊😊 I put a towel on the floor at the bottom of the door to seal in the steam from the shower in the bathroom to try and trap as much moisture as I can.
Please be very careful with this. An over abundance of steam in a confined space can prevent you from being able to breath. It can turn into a fatal error.
Use a plastic cap and deep conditioning cap on top for conditioning your hair. Warm up the deep conditioning cap in the microwave for two minutes, one side per minute.
Can you do a video on preservatives? It seems like everything is a formaldehyde releaser or isn't broad-spectrum. I want to avoid the craziness and diy my own products but I don't wanna kill myself in the process 🥴
Great tips and I use 5 of them. I forget to leave some conditioner in because I use a leave-in. I am bad at sectioning - I usually do two but maybe I need to do four. Thanks for sharing.
I've been doing this for years also❣❣ I agree with everything 💯💜💜💯 but one. I don't leave in no condition on my hair because it can make u have dandruff... But I do use and love using leave in conditioner🥰💜 That's been my experience😊 Other then that I agree with everything else💁🏽♀️💯💜 Love detangling my hair in the shower 🚿 😊 💜
This is great, thank you so much . I have a question I asked before but maybe you overlooked it. Can you tell me when and why you should use products with glycerin. What season is best? What does glycerin do?
Can you add some advice/hacks on those of us naturals with locs??? I enjoy and learn much from your expertise but I feel much relates to those with loose naturals.
My favorite shower hack is diluting my shampoo. A little goes a long way, it suds up like nobody's business and its way easier to get it all over the scalp. Speaking of, I get a lot more bang for my buck when I use the PMP method that you turned me onto ☺️ Thank you for your informational content, you have a unique channel
@@jladylove1 stands for Penetrate, Moisturize, Protect. Its an alternative to LOC or LCO (etc) methods of layering products. You layer products by their function, a penetrating oil, a moisturizer, and then a sealant. Curly Chemistry did a video on it, you should check it out! Personally, I use coconut oil, diluted african pride moisture miracle leave in, and then Shea butter (whipped, I'd use grease if I didn't hate washing my hair). I have high porosity fine hair, and when I do this with protective braids and leave them for a week+, moisture is always there when I take them out.
@@silk1311 thank you for replying back to me. I am going to check out Curly Chemistry video and try the method because my is thin and dry. Not really sure what porosity it is. One stylist said low and other said high. All I do know is it dry. Again thank you.
@@jladylove1 I think a basic explanation of porosity is how well your hair absorbs water. I think it technically refers to how lifted your cuticles are. High porosity means it absorbs water well but water also evaporates easily because the cuticles are so lifted. Low porosity means it's hard for water to penetrate your hair but once it does your hair stays moisturized because the cuticles lay flatter. I don't think dryness alone determines porosity. I'm sure curly Chemistry has a video explaining porosity too, but if not I know other RUclipsrs have.
I've been using coconut oil as a pre poo per your recommendation and that is the only time I section my hair and put in twist.
Do the same thing regarding washing hair and then showering while I have conditioner in. Best use of time.
I put my deep conditioner in hot water while in the shower. When it comes to applying its nice and warm for my low porosity hair.
Yay another video
Yayyy! :-)
1. Bending forward while washing out shampoo and conditioner from the hair (so it doesn't come in contact with the body as much).
2. Using a cotton t-shirt instead of a towel.
I think I am using most of the techniques you mentioned. I think the nozzle technique is most helpful, I've been using this for almost 2 years (thx to BBO products 😀)
I do the apply conditioner in the shower, then put my plastic caps on.
Thank you and you’re right TJ Maxx has plenty of options for hair clips!
What’s your diy aloe pre poo? 🥰
This is EXACTLLLYY WHAT I NEEDEEEEDD!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽❤️❤️❤️
Really?? Right on time!! :-)
Yes! Because my wash day is literally a “day” so these hacks will def come in dandy!🤗🤗💃🏽💃🏽
Love the shampoo in a nozzle bottle idea...definitely will d doing this now🙂👍🏽 Detangling in the shower has helped my wash day the post👍🏽
And voila! Hair is good to go 👍🏽
Tfs 🤗
I’ve learned to use lots of water when washing/detangling/conditioning. I also stretch my hair when detangling in the shower. It’s a game changer. I also can’t use a brush in shower but got the good and CHEAP shampoo comb from Ulta and it’s a vibe.
Nice! I have to check out the shampoo comb. ☺️
You’re welcome! Thank you for watching! 💜
Hi Gloria. Another suggestion for the continued tangles is, you might need to clip your ends. Maybe a dusting or actual clip.
After I do that it is much easier to detangle. Check your ends out. Good luck!
@@eles8888 Thanks. Think its time for a professional to step in for the trim.

Yep, the quicker you get it done the healthier your hair will be and...you will retain length!
Amazing channel I have learned a lot of great things and tips. Thank you! Please do the 3 thing series .
I love your updo it's very beautiful and thanks for all the hacks
Thank you! 💜
Thanks very much. I appreciate You! One Love ✌❤
This is a great video and you are so much fun to watch. I started out using then nozzle applicator, the slacked off. So glad I got this reminder. The take away for me is to take more time and leave a small amount of conditioner in my hair. I also love the interactions and have learned more.
I have been waiting for this video.
I have question
Is your guide available for purchase for Canadians? 🇨🇦🤗🇨🇦
The rest of the questions were answered in this video.
Could you do a video focusing on those of us who have SHORT hair? Are there things we should be doing differently, because our hair is short.
Thank you.
girl you are looking so awesome , you always do but today you popping extra, and of course another great video
Help with shrinking
Could you pleaser go over and do a review/thoughts on As I am restore and repair Jamican Black Castor Oil Water would leave a chemist POV on this product
Nozzle top shampoo, section in 4 when detangle/washing/deep condition. Use a hair catcher in the tube.
1. I don't wash in the shower. I wash old school in my sink since I have a high placed detachable nozzle.
2. I always DC & use a plastic + heated cap.
3. I only comb/detangle on wash day w/shampoo & DC & my last detangle is my final DC rinse
4. DC rinse only 75% of it out w/cool water. Leave a slight film of it on (Mom taught me that).
Finger detangle has been God's gift and I always prepoo. There's almost always oils in my hair before and after shower
Thank you Tonya! Great tips especially about getting a nozzle bottle to shampoo your scalp!
You’re welcome!!
Great veeedeeo! I do so many of these. One hack that has worked great for me is to keep all of my fave cleansers & prepoos together, DC's together, & go-to stylers together. It makes it easier for me to see & rotate wash-day products. Also, twists during DC. Thanks Tonya! xoxo 🌸🌸🌸
You’re welcome!
@@CurlyChemistry My pleasure, Beauty! Have a wonderful weekend! 😘
It’s so funny. I started doing this a couple months ago too
Section my hair, and wash it sectioned is a dogma. And when I have to do a avc or tea rinse, I do it at the same time as I conditioner.
Awesome hacks can’t wait til the next video! The thing that changed the game for me is pre-pooing my hair doesn’t get stripped anymore.
Thanks for this video! I already do a few of these. I also like to alternate shampoo/cowash weeks. My hair is so soft.
Happy 😊 Friday love ❤️
You too!!
Amazing!
Love your videos...what is the name of the pre poo you recommended!!
In the shower:_Using warmer water to wash and condition hair. Cooler water to close cuticles.
Question: Do you have tips on how to take care of hair of mature women going through the change of life? Especially when hair becomes more highly porous and other parts of the hair are medium porosity. Thank you.☺
Aloe vera
@@jk9084 Tried it. Doesn't work for my hair. Thanks. Peace and blessings to you and yours.😊
@@lnyawilliamsmoore4380 Oh that sucks, maybe fenegreek, flaxseed/chia/okra/oat/marshmallow root gel. Thank you!
@@jk9084 😊
Detangling in the shower changed the game for me. I do it while the conditioner is in.
I have never detangled my hair outside of the shower. I only comb through it when it's nice and slippery. Actually, when I step out of the shower, my wash & go is usually complete with all the products.
Great tips, thx 👍🥰🙏blessings🥰
Thank you for the helpful tips sectioning does make a difference
You’re welcome!! 🥰💜
Great for the hair but bad for the planet 😕
Thanks 😊
Oh rinse off pre-poo then shampoo. I didn't get that memo. Been shampooing my pre-poo. Recently started watching your videos and started to pre-poo. Love your hairdos. Would love to see some demonstrations.
😂😂😂 it took more than a few washes before I remembered to rinse, then shampoo.
Thank you! I use to do demonstrations, but now it’s more teaching with visuals. I may do a demonstration in the future on my wash day. ☺️
That was new to me to...but it makes so much sense. I can't wait to try it next wash day.
Awesome video😊😊
I put a towel on the floor at the bottom of the door to seal in the steam from the shower in the bathroom to try and trap as much moisture as I can.
Thank you!! And interesting hack, I never thought of that.
Thank you for this content. Continue to do a great job
Thank you! 💜
I know you spoke about avoiding sodium for high porosity hair. What about clay masks that have sodium such as bentonite?
You look 👏. Great content
At what stage is heat added for low porosity hair ?
I've been doing this for years also❣❣ I agree with everything 💯💜💜💯 but one. I don't leave in no condition on my hair because it can make u have dandruff... But I do use and love using leave in conditioner🥰💜 That's been my experience😊 Other then that I agree with everything else💁🏽♀️💯💜 Love detangling my hair in the shower 🚿 😊 💜
Awesome tips! Thanks! 💕
This is great, thank you so much . I have a question I asked before but maybe you overlooked it. Can you tell me when and why you should use products with glycerin. What season is best? What does glycerin do?
Definitely applying conditioners in the shower
What about Mint Almond Oil?
How often should you wash your hair....low porosity ....once a week every 2 weeks....?
Can you add some advice/hacks on those of us naturals with locs??? I enjoy and learn much from your expertise but I feel much relates to those with loose naturals.
My favorite shower hack is diluting my shampoo. A little goes a long way, it suds up like nobody's business and its way easier to get it all over the scalp.
Speaking of, I get a lot more bang for my buck when I use the PMP method that you turned me onto ☺️ Thank you for your informational content, you have a unique channel
You’re welcome!!
What’s does PMP stand for and what’s the method?
Once I begin the wash process, I untwist my hair and finger comb it in one direction and wash my hair. I never leave conditioner because I always use a good leave in and oil afterwards. Thanks for your tips
What has helped me the most on my wash day is what you said to rinse pre poo the shampoo and conditioner. I would rinse all the conditioner out only to apply a little when I got out the shower… Umm not going to do that anymore moving forward I will leave some conditioner in my hair. Th aka again for such valuable information.
Thank you!! I detangle in the shower in sections; I will be adding the nozzle to the process 👍🏽
Great tips. I also do hair first in the shower, clean, condition, then my body.👍👍💝

Getting off topic, but I've been trying to find someone to answer my question... Can low porosity hair use moringa oil for scalp massages? I ask because I heard it's protein. Please respond. Thank you. You and your family stay blessed and healthy ✝️🙏🛐
