Amazing video Aharon. You cannot imagine how much it has helped me. I am a BTV guy who always thought that BTV can take me deep. I was dissappointed to find out that it took me to 53 metres in a CWT bifins dive and caused me some trachea squeeze in an effort to bring air up at that depth. Since that day, I have been struggling to learn and perfect the Fattah Frenzel mouthfill only to find out that I have to do so many things, including stopping myself from performing a BTV maneuver which comes so natural to me. The technique that you just described makes me feel that this equalization is somewhat close to a BTV, but at the same time can be used at greater depths. I would love to get some feedback from you if you get the chance. Thank you and again congrats for sharing.
The best description of this technique might be BTV supported by frequent little reverse packs to bring up air. Cheek pressure can then be used to shift air into the open Eustachian tubes
Very very informative video. Also one of the great English speaking voices, music to one's ears. Up there with James Mason, Richard Burton, John Hurt and yep I said it, Oliver Reed.
Mariusz this technique was explained for deep divers there are very few deep divers who dive with a mask the only one I remember was Martin Stepanek . And RV training has to be done with only a noseclip , with a mask it could be dangerous .
question... I taught I was doing frenzel, but then when I had no air in the mouth, it was not working. Then I did what you said and what I think is that I was doing the same thing !... already. How to make sure I'm not pushing into the soft pallet... I can feel the air that want to go out by the lips, but sometimes I feel it could be a mix of Frenzel and that. BTW, you have the most perfect simple explanations !
yes dear aharon solomons. I ve been freediving since 1 year(actually spearfishing) I have watched your videos.as y know I have been using valsalva to equalisation and after watching your frenzel equalisation(5 times by the way to be able to understand complately)I got it.later I have watched yr deep equalisation video and tought that it was the same.and today I think I have succeed mouthfill.I m going to try it as soon as possible in water..
Thanks for the video. It seems to work for me, but can it work also for people who cannot master BTV ? ( i just combine a small tensing of the cheeks with the classic btv)
Thank you for your video! Do we need to watch what we do with our tongue? probably the best thing to do is to keep it in a neutral position without paying much attention to it.
Hi Aharon, Thanks a lot for sharing this with us. I have a question about the technique you mention in this video, you say you equalize 5 times and it isn't a constant pressure. I already had the mouthfill technique so maybe that's the reason I'm getting that wrong, but I can't get to not have constant pressure. The better I can do trying this is having a very low constant pressure that I almost don't feel, and adding pressure slightly moving the cheeks to equalize many times. Is this what you where explaining here? Is the soft palate neutral in your technique? Thanks again for sharing
Thanks for the video. This is the first time someone has addressed a subject that has limited me. I am looking forward to practicing the technique.
Very Nice video. Love the way you talk and explain. You are a true teacher!

Emmanouil Marneros the purest form of this technique is BTV assisted by the cheeks

Or have I complicated things

Aharon, thank you for this and your other videos! Is this technique usable with a mask or only with a noseclip?
