A series about Plagueis based on the book “Plagueis” would be awesome! Hands down, one of the best SW novels ever, especially with approximately half the book being about the recruitment and training of Palpatine. Have always found the Sith that have existed under the “Rule of Two” more interesting than anything else in SW universe. Jedi have huge advantage with their numbers, knowledge and resources, yet two Sith are able to destroy the entire order. It always struck me as extremely ignorant, foolish that a method was never safely devised to allow the Jedi to study the dark side. Best to know your enemy in order to defeat them. I'd imagine yoda did too because he was so wise, hence his ability to refract force lightning, but i guess it was personal motivation that led to learning, and 'systemic barriers' that the jedi put in place of their ways

6:50 The idea that Anakin "needed to balance the light side as well" isn't true. George Lucas has gone on record stating that the darkside of the force is akin to a cancer, a corruption of the natural force that darksiders exploit and generate for their own gain and selfish natures. Bringing Balance to the force isn't about having equal numbers of light side and dark side users, it's about erradicating the dark. The Jedi order being brought down was part of the problem and needed to be done as they had become too obesessed with petty politics that had caused them to stray from the light side. They were self serving and didn't truly help the people of the galaxy in the way they should, and Qui Gon was the only one to get that. Whether the entire fall of the Jedi order was part of the prophecy can be debated, but the idea that anakin was balancing the force by equalising lightside and darkside users wrong. Thats why at the end of Return of the Jedi when theres no more sith and only ~1 (2) jedi the force is balance, only the true light side remains.
This is the one Star Wars series im most excited for, hands down.. The time period right before the Phantom Menace is one of the only time period not fully fleshed out..And it would be awesome to have a star wars series following a bad guy main character instead of the goodie goodie hero main character we usually get stuck with.
"The light side had become too powerful" - That's not at all how I've heard Lucas explaining how the Force works. At this point, I'm expecting another Disney train wreck and I won't be excited for this one until I actually see the finished product and it's actually good for a change.
Great video and thanks for the update! Just a slight add-on to the Rule of Two: It was also to prevent infighting since the numerous Sith lords and Dark Council members were almost laughingly killing each other off to gain more power. Very excited for this and thanks again!

I think another one of darth banes main reasons for the rule of two is that sith are weaker when there’s many of them. The dark sides power gets split up between all of them and is stronger when there is only one or two Sith Lords. Also in fighting is very common when there are many sith.
