Krypt mode was literally just a walking simulator with frame rate issues. At least invasions has some kind of gameplay involved and allows you to level up your characters. Also, the combo trials and the survive minigames are pretty fun and by themselves are way better than krypt

Sylvester Stallone is actually a pretty solid VA. He played King Shark in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad and he did a pretty great job. He probably just hasn’t taken too many voice roles because his voice is too recognizable

The guy that played Billy, I think his characters name was Billy, and Mathew Lillard played the other character/ghost face...so which one is it? Or both of them...OR since Ghostface used a voice changer in the movie is just some random voice actor going to voice Ghostface and just use the voice modulator?

If Sektor’s new VA is anything to go by, she’s going to be great. Erika has a background in improv and comedy with just the right amount of unhinged intelligence that if they just set her loose in the recording booth would make for a great new take on the character.
Honestly I love the Kombat Pack 2 cuz there’re bringing back Noob, sector and cyrax (Which it shouldn’t really matter if they are a boy or girl if the gameplay is fine) but also the guest characters are pretty cool and I expect to see some good references in the fatalities and brutalities

I would've preferred Kotal over Arnold. After all he fought Raiden in the tournament and doesn't even get a spot as a DLC character. But we get Arnold again.......this is another reason why Evo had low entries and we saw a johnny cage mirror match for final Kombat and Evo THESE CHARACTERS SUCK ASS
Kombat packs are 3 guests and 3 returning characters. Kotal wouldnt replace conan, he would replace cyrax, sektor, or noob. And, no, the evo numbers for mk are always low. The biggest market for competitive fighting games is the asia market, but mk is banned in that area. Also, the johnny mirror match at evo was done on purpose as a way to "run it back" after their set at final kombat. There was a lot of character diversity at evo.
It speaks more about what characters have a better advantage over other characters, Johnny is one of few characters who feel fully complete and who doesn’t need a kameo to get a lot of mileage. Also I don’t know how people would react to Kotal being dlc after NRS buried his character.
Netherrealm’s already changed a lot of status quo for Mortal Kombat in the game, like making Kuai Liang Scorpion or actually making Mileena and Kitana sisters with Mileena being the older of the two, or outright stripping Shao Kahn of his emperor status. Cyrax and Sektor aren’t even the only characters to switch genders, as Bo Rai Cho changed genders as well. Honestly, I feel like this was a natural progression for them.
I personally feel the opposite, I much prefer guest characters over story characters for DLC's. But it could be that I just didn't grow up with the older titles and didn't fall in love with those characters. However I do feel like NetherRealm never really listens to what the community wants to see for the DLC fighters, I mean hell who asked for Conan the Barbarian man. Some of us have been begging for characters like the Doom Slayer since MK11. Just feel like Ed Boon just wants what he feels like idk.
I am big fan of Cyrax and Sektor. I've been waiting for these two for 13 years to finally see them playable separately. And I don't care of their gender swap. As I always say "Cyrax" and "Sektor" are CODEnames, not given names, and there is actually no ties between codename and character's gender

Fingers Crossed we get Arnold Schwarzenegger to voice one of his most Iconic Characters in MK for real this Time and something tells me he will be the Final DLC in KP2, still have Robert Patrick and Roger L. I think those who have an issue with Sector and Cyrax are just being big girl blouses. As the two of them were originally cyborgs they never really had too much of a personality so with it being the new era who says that the people who become Sector and Cyrax have to be male? Or maybe it just doesn't bother me that much and it all seems like drama.
My issues is why add guest if you dont used they respectable voice nor think about the outcome if its a 100% guarantee us players would evening be hype or not for it.
Imagine putting arnolds likeness in a game a 2nd time..... And not have him voiced by himself. Just put different characters in the game at that point.

Thing about Stallone. He's very invested in his characters. They're part of him. So whenever he performs them, he really brings them to life, no matter the medium.
I paid $100 for this game and it was the biggest reason i got a ps5 . I REALLY wanted to love it, but i just cannot make myself play it. 2 huge reasons this game is a miss for me: There's NOTHING to do! It's so boring! The KAMEOS!!!! I'd love to know what they were thinking!!! Having it optional, at most, would've been better. Better yet, tag-team mode instead!

Voice actor Joe Gaudet will do Arnold's voice. He is Arnold's official voice double and has done fill in's and countless things Arnold couldn't get around to. Just RUclips the guy, if Arnold approved the job he obviously is the best at the job for a reason.
The only voice i want for Arnold is all his vouce clips screaming and yelling from all his movies completely out of character. Imagine Conan yelling, "Put that Cookie Down". And Idgaf about character gender thanks to Stephanie. I just want Sektor to have his missiles, flame, and srk.
I'm still of the belief that Cyrax, Sektor and Noob Saibot are from another timeline acting as Titan Havik's vanguard either willing or not. I mean in Bi-Han's arcade ending they show a man that is very heavily implied to be Sektor and meanwhile it would be weird for New Era Bi-Han to be made into Noob Saibot and deprive the series of Sub-Zero for the remainder of the New Era. OK sure maybe you could have Frost take up the mantle of Sub-Zero in his stead but going by some dialogue between Shao and Bi-Han where Shao mentions Bi-Han has taken in a new apprentice makes it sound like Frost may be a young girl in this timeline like Hanzo is and the Kameo Frost is from a different timeline. If they're all from a different timeline then it could be that somehow after the events of the expansion they all wind up stuck in the current timeline and exist concurrently with their New Era counterparts. In other words there could be both a male and female Sektor and also Cyrax and a Bi-Han that remained as Sub-Zero while another ended up as Noob Saibot. They could have female Cyrax then join the Shirai Ryu and female Sektor join the Lin Kuei with her male counterpart or even vice versa. We've seen footage of Sektor and Cyrax fighting each other so I think maybe something happens during the expansion that has them turn on each other and join opposing factions. Despite what was said in the the main campaign about Cyrax being loyal to Bi-Han and that they wouldn't betray him, the combat interactions between some characters say that Cyrax gets captured by the Shirai Ryu and that they then chose to stay with them. Then it could mean that both male and female Cyrax could be part of the Shirai Ryu and both male and female Sektor could be part of the Lin Kuei or if the female versions of the characters instead join the opposite clan then we could instead have a good Ketchup and Mustard and an evil one too. It could be that whoever joins the Lin Kuei side brings their technology to the New Era Sektor which helps him get over some problems with his Cyber Initiative and it could open the possibility to reintroduce Triborg and Cyber Sub-Zero. They could even make a duplicate Smoke so we can have both his human and cyborg versions. The Cyber Smoke could even be nanite-based to reference his appearance from MK Deception. Meanwhile the Noob Saibot Bi-Han could strike out on his own to create the Brotherhood of Shadow which doesn't exist in the New Era yet. He could even steal the Cyber Smoke and have him join his Brotherhood in reference to their partnership from Deception.
I agree with that last sentiment, I already have multiversus downloaded, plenty of guests can be put in that. We really didn’t need more guests as mains
I think a problem with guest character integration in these past games is that there’s too many of them. Instead of being 50/50 it should be more like 60/40 or 75/25. It doesn’t help that I think people are getting a little fatigued on crossovers I mean just look at dead by daylight
What if Sektor and Cyrax are just code names? Or maybe in this timeline, Sektor and Cyrax are the daughters of the OG's? Or even more plot twist, they're the mother of them?
They can't make new characters because a large chunk of the fanbase will be mad that they are getting new characters instead of old favorites. They'd have to wait a game or 2 before introducing new characters. And the reason some people are mad about the gender flip of Sector and Cyrax is blatant sexism. They were introduced as cyborgs from the start. They didn't have personalities, they just had programing. The only thing that made them unique was their gameplay. There gender meant nothing in the original timeline. It being a new timeline give the studio opportunities to change things. Switching a woman into a man wouldn't be right for the simple fact that women are already outnumbered by men characters 3 to 1. Switching men to women balances things out a little bit more. Most characters have too much story and personality that would make it harder to switch gender for. They could do it a bit easier with characters that haven't been in many games. But as I stated the cyborgs are the easiest as they had no personalities, just programing. Now they can actually give them more character.
I'm thinking it's that past and the present theme for these DLC fighters with the new timeline. Omni Man, Peacemaker, Homelander are the present heroes and villains. Then Ghostface, T-1000, and Conan the Barbarian are the past heroes and villains.
I can't wait for cyrax and sektor for me as a fan of then it's never been about gender or race just the iconic red and yellow ninja that got a cyber upgrade. Anyway love all and be safe everyone
Personally I feel like they needed to change them because all of the playable characters have been either purposefully or accidentally altered by Liu Kang. But for Sektor and Cyrax they have such a small bio to begin with if they were to be playable they would have to do something else. So that could have been what lead to the genderswap. Think about it even now in Khaos Reigns story Sektor and Cyrax is the same as they were before the genderswap. So if all the characters have to be altered to be playable. Then how else would you do it? It's too late to have them be regular guys so what else is there to do? I also picture Frost won't be the same as before thanks to how Kuai Liang not becoming Sub-Zero will have on her story. She might not even become a cyborg and stay normal Frost and maybe even joining the Shirai Ryu.

It's a complete lack of originality, when in my opinion, making completely new female characters or bring back other female characters, (i.e. Devorah, cetreion, skarlet, any of the sisterhood of shadows, {which in my opinion would've been a greater direction with titan havoc} instead of just swapping genders and calling it good.
I feel like NRS must hate us, the fans of Cyrax and Sektor, because we wanted them to be a part of any new MK since MK9, but they introduced them only as variants of Triborg in MKX, then make them NPCs in MK11 and now they "convert" them into girls in some kind of Iron Man armor instead of real cyborgs
I’d argue Stallone is way more expensive than Arnold. Guy’s an academy award nominee and works way more frequently that Arnold does. Since Expendables he’s had a project out near every year, whilst Arnold pops in and out of Hollywood cause he prefers the quiet life nowadays

Fingers Crossed we get Arnold Schwarzenegger to voice one of his most Iconic Characters in MK for real this Time and something tells me he will be the Final DLC in KP2, still have Robert Patrick and Roger L. Jackson are voicing Ghostface and the T-1000, Noob Saibot looks more Perfect than Ever, and I’m ok with these newer takes on Sektor and Cyrax.
I don’t think Arnold Schwarzenegger is voicing Conan for Mortal Kombat 1 because he is too busy with his movies. But we are getting Chris Cox to voice him. So, get used to it now!
What about Mathew Lillard? He also played Ghostface in the 1st movie. Their were 2 people working together and taking turns being the killer in the first one

I think those who have an issue with Sector and Cyrax are just being big girl blouses. As the two of them were originally cyborgs they never really had too much of a personality so with it being the new era who says that the people who become Sector and Cyrax have to be male? Or maybe it just doesn't bother me that much and it all seems like drama.

Imagine putting arnolds likeness in a game a 2nd time..... And not have him voiced by himself. Just put different characters in the game at that point.

Thing about Stallone. He's very invested in his characters. They're part of him. So whenever he performs them, he really brings them to life, no matter the medium.

I paid $100 for this game and it was the biggest reason i got a ps5 . I REALLY wanted to love it, but i just cannot make myself play it.
2 huge reasons this game is a miss for me: There's NOTHING to do! It's so boring! The KAMEOS!!!! I'd love to know what they were thinking!!! Having it optional, at most, would've been better. Better yet, tag-team mode instead!

it’s funny because we know for a fact, Sylvester Stallone has no problem doing this type of thing anyway since he literally played one of his movie characters again for a "Demolition Man" game, I think it was on rail shooter, one of the CD game console back in the day (which is ironic because it has a fighting game segment inside which used the digitized characters like classic MK)
Voice actor Joe Gaudet will do Arnold's voice. He is Arnold's official voice double and has done fill in's and countless things Arnold couldn't get around to. Just RUclips the guy, if Arnold approved the job he obviously is the best at the job for a reason.

The only voice i want for Arnold is all his vouce clips screaming and yelling from all his movies completely out of character. Imagine Conan yelling, "Put that Cookie Down". And Idgaf about character gender thanks to Stephanie. I just want Sektor to have his missiles, flame, and srk.

I'm still of the belief that Cyrax, Sektor and Noob Saibot are from another timeline acting as Titan Havik's vanguard either willing or not. I mean in Bi-Han's arcade ending they show a man that is very heavily implied to be Sektor and meanwhile it would be weird for New Era Bi-Han to be made into Noob Saibot and deprive the series of Sub-Zero for the remainder of the New Era. OK sure maybe you could have Frost take up the mantle of Sub-Zero in his stead but going by some dialogue between Shao and Bi-Han where Shao mentions Bi-Han has taken in a new apprentice makes it sound like Frost may be a young girl in this timeline like Hanzo is and the Kameo Frost is from a different timeline. If they're all from a different timeline then it could be that somehow after the events of the expansion they all wind up stuck in the current timeline and exist concurrently with their New Era counterparts. In other words there could be both a male and female Sektor and also Cyrax and a Bi-Han that remained as Sub-Zero while another ended up as Noob Saibot. They could have female Cyrax then join the Shirai Ryu and female Sektor join the Lin Kuei with her male counterpart or even vice versa. We've seen footage of Sektor and Cyrax fighting each other so I think maybe something happens during the expansion that has them turn on each other and join opposing factions. Despite what was said in the the main campaign about Cyrax being loyal to Bi-Han and that they wouldn't betray him, the combat interactions between some characters say that Cyrax gets captured by the Shirai Ryu and that they then chose to stay with them. Then it could mean that both male and female Cyrax could be part of the Shirai Ryu and both male and female Sektor could be part of the Lin Kuei or if the female versions of the characters instead join the opposite clan then we could instead have a good Ketchup and Mustard and an evil one too. It could be that whoever joins the Lin Kuei side brings their technology to the New Era Sektor which helps him get over some problems with his Cyber Initiative and it could open the possibility to reintroduce Triborg and Cyber Sub-Zero. They could even make a duplicate Smoke so we can have both his human and cyborg versions. The Cyber Smoke could even be nanite-based to reference his appearance from MK Deception. Meanwhile the Noob Saibot Bi-Han could strike out on his own to create the Brotherhood of Shadow which doesn't exist in the New Era yet. He could even steal the Cyber Smoke and have him join his Brotherhood in reference to their partnership from Deception.
Just use AI for Arnold's voice. There are YT channels dedicated specifically to funny arnold AI videos. Hawk Tuah!

I think a problem with guest character integration in these past games is that there’s too many of them. Instead of being 50/50 it should be more like 60/40 or 75/25. It doesn’t help that I think people are getting a little fatigued on crossovers I mean just look at dead by daylight
When MK2 is made (if it is), it be kinda cool if Kombat Pack 1 was returning characters and 2 was guest characters

What if Sektor and Cyrax are just code names? Or maybe in this timeline, Sektor and Cyrax are the daughters of the OG's? Or even more plot twist, they're the mother of them?
They can't make new characters because a large chunk of the fanbase will be mad that they are getting new characters instead of old favorites. They'd have to wait a game or 2 before introducing new characters.
And the reason some people are mad about the gender flip of Sector and Cyrax is blatant sexism. They were introduced as cyborgs from the start. They didn't have personalities, they just had programing. The only thing that made them unique was their gameplay. There gender meant nothing in the original timeline. It being a new timeline give the studio opportunities to change things. Switching a woman into a man wouldn't be right for the simple fact that women are already outnumbered by men characters 3 to 1. Switching men to women balances things out a little bit more. Most characters have too much story and personality that would make it harder to switch gender for. They could do it a bit easier with characters that haven't been in many games. But as I stated the cyborgs are the easiest as they had no personalities, just programing. Now they can actually give them more character.

I'm thinking it's that past and the present theme for these DLC fighters with the new timeline. Omni Man, Peacemaker, Homelander are the present heroes and villains. Then Ghostface, T-1000, and Conan the Barbarian are the past heroes and villains.
I can't wait for cyrax and sektor for me as a fan of then it's never been about gender or race just the iconic red and yellow ninja that got a cyber upgrade. Anyway love all and be safe everyone

Personally I feel like they needed to change them because all of the playable characters have been either purposefully or accidentally altered by Liu Kang. But for Sektor and Cyrax they have such a small bio to begin with if they were to be playable they would have to do something else. So that could have been what lead to the genderswap. Think about it even now in Khaos Reigns story Sektor and Cyrax is the same as they were before the genderswap. So if all the characters have to be altered to be playable. Then how else would you do it? It's too late to have them be regular guys so what else is there to do? I also picture Frost won't be the same as before thanks to how Kuai Liang not becoming Sub-Zero will have on her story. She might not even become a cyborg and stay normal Frost and maybe even joining the Shirai Ryu.

It's a complete lack of originality, when in my opinion, making completely new female characters or bring back other female characters, (i.e. Devorah, cetreion, skarlet, any of the sisterhood of shadows, {which in my opinion would've been a greater direction with titan havoc} instead of just swapping genders and calling it good.
I feel like NRS must hate us, the fans of Cyrax and Sektor, because we wanted them to be a part of any new MK since MK9, but they introduced them only as variants of Triborg in MKX, then make them NPCs in MK11 and now they "convert" them into girls in some kind of Iron Man armor instead of real cyborgs

I’d argue Stallone is way more expensive than Arnold. Guy’s an academy award nominee and works way more frequently that Arnold does. Since Expendables he’s had a project out near every year, whilst Arnold pops in and out of Hollywood cause he prefers the quiet life nowadays

Super excited to have Conan added unlike most..as a Kotal player, I feel like this will fill that void in MK1...I'm an 80's baby...grew up on all the comics and watched all the movies...I hope they have a Grace Jones appearance...that would be dope...and Red Sonja is going to be dope too...Hey...Conan is a Marvel Character 🤔
