What an intelligent and creative young man! His thinking is on a different level and it is refreshing to hear him share his perspective. Nice to have a guest like this once in awhile. Stephen seems to appreciate his thought process.

If you have not seen "Los Espookies", give it a watch. It's funny, gloriously absurd and silly at times. A very fun show! Also Fred Armisen is in it!
season 2 was even better, i'm sad there isn't more

I have never heard another adult openly admit they also liked to play "Traffic." I would line up all my hot wheels and pretend a family was on their way to vacation, and suddenly got caught in mind numbing traffic. I would just barely move the cars one by one... God I was a strange kid.

School isn't about teaching kids subjects, other than the "three Rs".
The rest of it is to train kids to deal with peers, defer to 'authority' without question, get up when they don't want to get up, and go somewhere they don't want to be for 8 hours, to do things they don't want to do... with the promise of a minor, amorphous reward in the future.
It's to train us for the workaday life we're doomed to endure until we finally die quietly in a corner somewhere, lifting something heavy.
Something heavy we ordered off Amazon that we didn't need. Just lifted it to put it with all the rest of the junk we didn't need.

Going to school is a privilege many kids in the world just don’t have ,we take so many things for granted ,ask the little girls in Afghanistan if they want to stay home forever and growing up in full ignorance !
Parents arent angry about the existence of public education. We are angry about the content. They are creating generations of test takers, with no critical thinking skills.
When the government doles out funding based on test scores, school administrations concentrate on average test scores. They drive out poor test takers, and create a sea of kids who's only goal is the short term memorization of answers. No one is learning.
