@@chuyocaca4153 "Stroke victims" have occasionally reported smelling "burnt toast." I believe that is what you are referring to (although that meaning is different from what you were saying, not some pleasant memory of bread baking).

As tame as that was, Jake is always a delight.
And "There is stuff happening, okay?" is probably my favorite off-the-cuff answer I've heard so far. (Since the segment started, I feel like many of the people have had one in the bank.)

Actually, a similar saying exists in 2 my languages. And it was born in the 1980s and made popular in 90s. Reborn something like a year ago for the youngest generation. It is for ever, I guess 😂

Not only he is very HOT he is also very nice. I’ve seen him in a Broadway play where he was amazing. But like right after the play my friend and I met him at a red light, gushing over the fact that he was very great during the play. And he was like so genuine.

@@darktheories1758 Fantastic movie! I hadn't thought about either the original movie or Jake Gyllenhaal in years and now I can't stop rewatching the new one, and all Jake's stuff. Road House is big dumb fun, but it does try to have a more serious side too, and Jake squeezes every drop of potential out of the script.
Makes total sense that Donnie Darko himself would want a window seat. Have to make sure that the engine is there or not ;-)
In the movie “day after tomorrow“ Jake Gyllenhaal was a student, and the climate was radically changing… He was with a few schoolmates flying to New York for a competition between schools and the plane hit some incredibly bad turbulence… Jake was extremely panicked.

I love the questionert in general, but this was particularly tasty. Their chemistry was great, especially on the spiders. Jake’s strange energy was on fire. There is stuff happening, okay.

OK, it's on. I always feel weird when I see celebrities out and about (I live in NYC) and I'm not sure if I should approach them. If I'm a really big fan, I usually go for it. (For the record, literally everyone I've met has been really nice.) Jake is literally the #1 celebrity that I would like to meet. There are other big ones, but I've met a lot of them. He's definitely top of the list and if I ever see him, this interview has given the green flag to say "hi." Maybe I'll carry around meringues just in case. LOL
I live in Los Angeles and have the same feelings. I actually feel even stranger, I feel like I’m sort of seeing a wild animal in the forest and I don’t want to disturb them. But occasionally I have risked a quick hello or a nod. There’s a deli where this happens on the regular. I too have had largely nice reactions. I would love to “run into” Jake as well but it’s unlikely as he’s a New Yorker 👍👍🤷♀️

I am laughing so hard, I was just re-watching "October Sky" one of my favorite of Jake's films and I had it on pause while I took some time on the internet. Just happened to decide to browse RUclips and here he is as your guest!!! Great surprise and coincidence🤣👏👏
I never really took stock in the value of autographs with One exception, where I got John and John of They Might Be Giants to sign my accordion and Linnell added his middle Sid, which I guess was pretty rare. And They were frequent guests on the Daily Show, which I have watched since the late 90s, so we all seem to share good company. And my favorite sandwich is probably the Everything Sandwich Jake made on Adventure Time because it takes all the guess work out.

For the last couple of years (or however long this segment has been running) I've been utterly *convinced* that the number Stephen is thinking of is nine, due to its relevance in Lord of the Rings, and Stephen's love of those stories. Now he's said that that's not it, I have absolutely no idea what his number is.
I'm pretty sure I know which number he's thinking of. I guess we'll find out if I'm right if I ever become famous enough to end up on his show and take the questionnert.

OTOH, there's a natural number I'm deeply surprised no one has guessed, for it is, after all, the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything. He's the right kind of person for that to be his number; and, if it isn't, someone should still have tried it because it would have been funny.

I'm a big fan of bacon, tomato and cheese sandwiches, but we grow a lot of tomatoes and nobody loves cooking when it's +30 C out in the summer. These can be 'cooked' in a toaster oven, and a really good one will blow you away. TBH tomato and buttered toast sandwiches are also very good, tomato is a great topping if you have good tomatoes (so grow your own!).
I think that's about perfect for John C, I'm sure he wasn't getting mobbed for his signature back then (and probably still isn't), but he does pretty good work all told, with a lot more range than most actors. He deserved that snack!
Jake is an odd fellow. I guess that is what suited him so well the for the roles he is remembered by. I'm not sure what steel he was crafter by, but he seems like a nice person.
