- Triple Crown Road Railer Coming Around A Curve & Crossing A Railroad Crossing In Delphi, Indiana On Norfolk Southern. Train Crossing Bridge Next To Bike Trail And View From Abandoned Railroad Bridge Known As Monon High Bridge. This Is Part 2 For The Last Road Railers And Includes A Close Look At The Rail In Delphi.
Is that an awesome shot of a Triple Crown Road Railer in Delphi or what?! This is the last time that I ever got to see one so I made sure I got a good shot of it. Delphi is a very nice town and a great place for railfans to visit. I really like the courthouse square that I showed in my first video of Delphi and I like the churches. We see the Road Railer train, then an ethanol train and then we see a train with huge auto parts boxcars and auto racks. The last train is going over Deer Creek. Deer Creek empties into the Wabash River which is less than a mile southwest of the railroad bridge.
After we see a few trains passing through Delphi we take a hike to the abandoned railroad bridge known as Monon High Bridge. Look how high this bridge is and how long it is! It would have been interesting to see trains on this structure. It is a very peaceful place to visit and on the day that I was there I had it to myself. We also see the bridge known as Freedom Bridge that goes over Highway 25. This is a big bridge also and the bike trail goes over it. It is called Freedom Bridge because it came from Freedom, Indiana. It was going to be used there but after being stored for years it was brought here instead. While I was on Monon High Bridge I heard 2 trains pass through Delphi. I figured I might miss one but I couldn't believe that two of them went through. Apparently they passed just east of Delphi. I heard them talking to each other and to the dispatcher over the radio on 160.860. You can also hear the end of train device chirping over my radio on 452.9375 while I am on the bike trail and bridge. I also put a short clip of a Triple Crown Road Railer in the outro that I filmed near Walton, Kentucky in 2015. That was the last year for it on the NS Rat Hole Line.
My next goal is to film the replacement for the Road Railer trains. The replacement are containers and trailers on spine cars that are painted green. The road railer concept is gone and replaced with typical intermodal and trailer trains/spine cars.
Don't miss the Live Action Pets and the slide show that comes from the video.
Filmed Friday, August 23, 2024 in 1080p with 60fps. Thanks for watching!

I find it sad that the Road Railer system is disappearing . It seemed like a brilliant concept to me, a way for railways to get into the medium haul business.
Thanks Jaw Tooth for the video, cheers!
the new puppy is so cute but always great to see the senior lady Brandy she is so adorable and the gray makes her look so royal and majestic love the animals and the videos oh and that kitten is so cute my son and his lady just got a Siamese kitten so cute follows my son around
Nice coverage on the Monon High Bridge.
Thanks for watching
So long, Triple Crown. You had a good run! 😀😀😀❤️❤️❤️
I'm going to film the containers that replaced it
@@JawTooth That'll be very interesting, JT! 😃😃
What a way to end the triple crown trailer train, the best k5la ever !
Thanks for watching!
The first road railer of NS...so good!!!!
🚂🚛😱😨📱💟💟💟💟💟💟💟
That was a good mixed freight, my friend. It had a line of 31 of the 86-foot long box cars, which is by far most of the train. I really like those cars! 😃😃😃❤️❤️❤️
Triple Crown look so Cool!
Its always good to get a new puppy when you got one whos old. It keeps them young longer, gives them a buddy as they age, keeps em active. And takes some of the grief away when they pass.
Your dogs seem to be enjoyin a good swim
They love swimming in the pond. The water is low because of the draught and this is the lowest it has ever been
An awesome bit of railroad history you caught in this video. The Monon walk was worth it, neat rail to tail and history. Thanks for sharing. 👍
Many thanks!
Merci beaucoup pour cette très belle vidéo ! ✨✨✨✨✨👍
That was a good shot coming around the curve!
Thanks! I like that shot also
Wow! Excellent catching all the trains, I like them, they're awesome, @JawTooth, Brian, thank you very much and have a nice day and night.
Thanks for watching!
I’ve never seen a truck turned train! That’s cool!
Great train action this in Delphi Indiana with one of the last of the triple crown road railers, an awesome train watching view from
on top of the bridge, the amazing live action pets dogs and cats
with the rocking music slide show as always thanks Jaw Tooth.
☕🚂🚃🚃🇺🇲:)
Thank you very much! Thanks for watching!
I live in the south, and used to drive over the road for a major trucking company, it’s been over 25 years since I’ve seen a triple crown road railer, I really appreciated seeing the video, thanks
Thanks for sharing and thanks for watching and commenting!
TY for the trip, walk, bridges, truck and trains. Always love your endings.
This was a very interesting video, JT! The trains were awesome, and the entire tour of Delfi was wonderful. I don't know if it made your local news, but that trail and bridge is where two near teenage girls were murdered a few years ago.😢 That's probably what the shrine was for. I did enjoy the video, and thanks for the tour an̈and history. We'll chat again later. 😃😃😃😃❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yes and the trial starts this fall. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@JawTooth Sadly, You're welcome. 😢
Hi JT, Fab shot of a very long roadrailer & the shot of N/S coming round the curve was awesome! Your video had a bit of everything today, the high bridge was err high & not for me!😱 Bless Brandi for being outside & in the pond she was enjoying hersrlf with Loki & Chessie. Beautiful video. Thanks JT. ❤😊🐕🦮🐕🦺👍
Wow, congrats on catching some major railroad history, that was really cool !!!
Thanks! Add that to the history list along with the New River Train, circus trains and the bike trails
Those road railers... WTF? 🤯🤯 I've never seen anything like that.. except road trains here in Australia 😂😂 I need to look these up!
Love the trains and the locations you go to.. keep doing what you do 👍🏼👍🏼
That spot your at to see the bridge was perfect so we could see those long boxcars and that was super awsome you got the roadrailer
Thanks Thanks for watching and commenting!
Thank you JT for the effort on the trains but also the monon high bridge really appreciate the effort you put in to your videos 😊
Glad you like them!
Thanks for sharing. Love the history
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks for sharing! It's hard to believe the trailer wheels don't scrape the ground at the crossing,.
You got that right! They sure are low
Another great video JT and I would’ve loved to seen an old steam engine back in the day coming across that bridge the high bridge that would’ve been awesome but anyway, my friend you stay safe out there and watch your back and we’ll see you on the next one
Oh, I meant to tell you the railroad tie spiker got the new Triple Crown container train. It was a whole train of nothing but green, Triple Crown containers and trailers. That’s what they went to. And they had a few of the old white trailers on the back of the train.
This is awesome and we'll watch it again. Thanks it is awesome 👍❤😊
Thank you so much 😀
The Monon High Bridge is awesome, JT! I don't know if I'd walk onto the new part or not. I definitely wouldn't set foot on the old part! That bridge scares me! 😮🙄😬😟
Neat old bridge. Great find and coverage of it.
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Thank you so much for the" live action pets "!!!!
Our pleasure!
Amazing videos jaw tooth keep up the good work
What a rare catch
I just missed another one. I found out that the day before when I was trying to catch one in Lafayette I missed it when I went to pay a parking ticket that was over by less than 20 minutes lol
Great video! All the better when you show historic infrastructure like the bridge's and trail which would have been the old track bed.
You were in some beautiful areas catching all the very awesome live action, Brian.
Thank You Jaw Tooth, another great show! Live Action Son!
Our pleasure!
Thank you for visiting Delphi..it is a beautiful town that has been through a lot of pain...the blue historic bridge is over the " hoosier heartland highway" ..aka Indiana SR 25...not an interstate.
Thanks for the info. I found out that it came from Freedom, Indiana
Nice Video
Thanks
I wished I could have seen it in person. I remember when I was a kid going up to Gaffney SC or Spartanburg SC seen them all the time. I always thought of roadrailers was cool and still is. Sucks to see them go away
Hey that was a cool train. You don’t see many of those road railer trains. Lots of cool sights and bridges. Thanks Jawtooth 👍❤️
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Roadrailers awesome!!! You could have just documented a historical moment JT
They're is allot of beauty in this country! Loki had a nice catch🎉Thanks for the video Brian stay well roll on
Thanks, you too! I appreciate your support ! I’m in Walton Kentucky right now waiting for trains where CSX goes under NS. Been a little slow today with only 1 CSX but a handful of NS. Thanks again for your Super Thanks support!
@@JawTooth your welcome Brian, love the videos
JawTooth and Mrs JawTooth 👌👌🚂🚃🚆
Another great video
Enjoyed watching
I love your videos and history about rail even how you find the abandon rail bridge
Get yourselves a hat you need one my friend
thanks, today I wore my hat
Part train, part truck concept as always fascinated me, truly unique JT. Plenty of fallen flag autoparts cars on that one train.
Glad you enjoyed it
@@JawTooth Always enjoy your awesome videos JT!👍🏼
The OG roadtrain!
Hey jaw tooth awesome trains. Sorry they are stopping the road railers. Glad you found high bridge. Crossings are my favorite place to watch trains. Have a great railroad day. 🚂🙋♀️

Great location and great catch which makes for an amazing video thanks Brian and Scott
That is one cool place to visit. I love trails like that. Putting that life size train picture at the bridge was very clever. Thanks for another great video. 😊

Great video Brian. I’m glad you got to get the road railers one last time

Dogs love swimming😊
96 Cool pictures when made through trees really great
It is a great historical video of an NS's Triple Crown train. Along with the historical Monon railroad. Also, I enjoyed the Live Action pets at your pond.
Thank you very much!
Awesome catch jaw tooth.
Oh yeah!
Awesome location's! Great to catch the last Triple Crowns! Awesome bridge's and catches Jawtooth!👍
Glad you enjoyed it
I still miss that duck that lived in the pond. It was neat............. Thank you for the video.
Me too. I wish I could have saved him. We had a cold windy night and the pond froze over
@@JawTooth I remember that. As I recall, you tried to shelter him for the night. But he would not let you catch him and he was lost to the cold.
Loved the road railer. Love to know what it is!! Must be just me. Almost looked like the cars were running on rubber tires 🤪
I'd like to bike this trail some day. Great vid JT.
Go for it! Its pretty nice
Thanks JT great place
Glad you enjoyed it
gorgeous park..
It really is!
Awesome catches JT! Fantastic video!
🚂🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃💯👍🇺🇸

UFE is a Mexican steel plant in Toreon that produce rail and other heavy beams!
Cool video and an awesome bridge you took us to!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Very good video
Thanks!
Glad you got to see one of the last Roadrailers! I saw the last eastbound one in Fort Wayne, Indiana at around 11:30 pm. I uploaded a video of it on my channel.
That is a really nice location.
Great video! 👍
Thank you! 👍
Cool Video!
Thanks!
HEY THIS IS MARTIN KROLLIG FROM SOUTH AUSTRALIA LOVE THE VIDS
Thanks for watching and commenting!
At 10:17 that could be the new incognito TripleCrown, and you caught it first!
Those memorials for Abby and Libby. The bridge was in its original state in 2017 when they were murdered.
I saw one as a kid and thought they were cool. Still do.
Very interesting, I've never noticed how the train line is strung through a road railer train.
Thanks for the Delphi look around JT. Richard Allen trial is starting soon. He is accused of killing the 2 girls in 2017 near the high bridge and Deer Creek. I will be following that on Utube. Great video, nice trains. ❤
Hard to believe something like that could happen. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Never seen one of these in person before.Unusual ill like to see how they do it
Good morning Mr Jawtooth amazing video hope you enjoy your Labor Day weekend overall mines going great went to the pool for the last day and now it’s closed till next Memorial Day!
Thanks! You too! It seems a little early to close the pools. That is shame because it is going to get to 90 tomorrow
That looks like a great place to visit.
It is!
Wow Brian you nailed it with this video, when I was driving I use to go to the rail yards back in N.J. to pick up those trailers.👍👍
That is awesome! thanks for watching
Awesome video and that’s definitely a cool bridge!
It really is!
Quality video 📹 JT thanks have a great day from Scotland 😊
Thanks, you too!
@@JawTooth Thanks JT your welcome 😊
It’s always sad when a train runs for the last time, especially as historical as the trailer train.beautifully filmed JT.
And on the subject of getting lucky, it was our 45th wedding anniversary on the 2nd September, and guess what? I still ain’t getting lucky.
More of them ginormous box cars. That trail looks so nice. I use a 100 watt solar panel for my cameras at the cabin.
Very cool!
The unmarked police cruiser, followed by the marked unit turning right while the triple crown train is crossing would be a good time for the song, "Bad Boys". Looks like they were headed out to serve a warrant.
beautiful veiw
Some great views in that Delphi country park
Impressive bridge looks like the bridge over the River Kwai🙂
I’ve always loved the TC train. Didn’t know it existed until I watched on your channel. Thank you again for a great vid!!
Thank you very much!
👍🇺🇸 that was a weird set up on your first train ..
Very!
An extremely efficient way of moving truck trailers. Sad they of being phased out.
Wow 😊
😊
😅thank for the video,was a hot one.greetz:🍐Peer.
Thanks! 😃
@@JawTooth 😅did you see the picktures that i send you from the kofferbak market??😅
Look how close to the asphalt those truck tires are on the low side of the curve.
Wow, that is really close and I hadn't noticed. Thanks for watching!
So cool!
Thanks!
That long train JT
Indiana cool 😎
Great video as always
Thanks again!
I used to work near where the Amtrak roadrailers were assembled in Los Angeles. There is an inspection building there now.
