She is doing so well. It is a pleasure to watch how her confidence and willingness have increased under your guidance.

Thank you so much, Jill! She is such a treasure and it's lovely have her progress be witnessed by like-minded horse people like yourself. :)

It’s so nice to see her being happier ❤. And I’m so inspired of your gentle way of treating her and taking your time and not pushing her development faster than she will accept.

Thank you so much, Milka! I'm so happy the slow and steady work we do resonates with you! It's so much fun and so much better than trying to rush things. And Sable is such a good example for the happy vibes we can enjoy with our horses. :)

This was wonderful to watch and so helpful. The pole idea is great, and I'm glad to have some perspective on my horse's behavior on the lunge: bucking and squealing, but offering everything promptly and correctly... You have helped me think about that fine line!

Have finally found the time to catch up a bit on the videos you've posted lately (there are still some new ones to watch 🤓). What I especially liked is how you introduce the canter on a smaller circle, then letting Sable out on a larger one once she's in canter. Of course I liked your "pass auf" ❤ & the way you ask her to stretch & lower her head - I noticed you do so by lowering your hand holding the lunge line & bringing it closer to your thigh/knee .... 🤔 . I often struggle with "counter bend" (Aussenstellung) when lunging & find it helps the horse to bend correctly by giving gentle impulses to the inside by lowering my hand. I assume you know Babette Teschen - in her lunging courses she speaks of imagining the horse is walking on a wall & as a handler, you don't want to pull them off that wall by "harsh" interventions (i.e. pulling to the inside). I find correct lunging is an art of its own - thank you for sharing ❤

Thank you so much for your kind comment, Elizabeth! And thank you for verbalizing what you're noticing in such detail. It helps me in turn to know what I'm doing and how to communicate it when I teach. Great mental picture of the horse balancing on a wall, very nice. And I agree, lungeing is a skill and a conscious application of tactile and energetic exchanges between horse and handler that grows with practice, patience and openness to learn new things. So fascinating! :)
