Wow, they turned out beautifully! Makes those geraniums pop! You did a great job explaining the process!

Thanks so much 😊. Those geraniums are three years old. I keep overwintering them as bare roots. I lost a few so those are the last two. Haven't been able to find them in that color again.

Thanks so much! 😊 I've actually overwintered the pelogoniums as dormant bare roots for the last three years. Hoping to be able to overwinter again as I have not been able to find any in this same color.

Ok, that came out a lot better than I thought it would. I think the copper at the end was the perfect finishing touch. It almost looks like true old copper with verdigris.
Not sure if I have all the same colors but will definitely give this a try.

Glad it provided inspiration. I just used whatever I had in my stash. I'm sure you can come up with a nice variation for your garden.

That is a nice technique. Those pots turned out really beautiful. I like the rustic look! Oh how I hate to paint! Even as an art major 5 1/2 decades ago, I hated to paint. That class was worse than art history for me lol. Now that I've been retired for five and a half years, besides gardening, I design and make whirligigs... for the most part. Ironically, I have to paint them! Go figure! Goes with the territory. Again, love the pots! Nice job. Take care!

Thank you! Do you sell your whirligigs online? Would love to see them. I don't like painting things that require very precise nooks and cranny's. This type of painting is more my speed 😆. Thanks for stopping by. ❤

How did they hold up since it didn’t get a base primer? Do I HAVE to prime?

They held up really well and I will be using them again this year. I did spray a protective coating so I think that helped.
