one of my favorite, unnecessary time paradoxes in video games. They really didn't need to make a grandfather paradox just so you could learn to make it rainy, but they did
What's even more interesting is that every Ocarina melody you learn as Child Link is three notes repeated twice, but every Ocarina melody you learn as Adult Link is more complicated than that with a 5 to 8 notes-long pattern... except this one, which fits the "three notes repeated twice" pattern. Which can be explained precisely by that paradox, since it's supposedly Child Link that taught it to the windmill man.
It's actually a bootstrap paradox. Grandfather paradox would be if child Link *prevented* windmill guy from leaning the song, while still somehow learning it from him as an adult.
Frankly, having heard a huge amount of covers for Song of Storms, this one shines in it's simplicity. It stays very true to the actual theme with no branching melodies or thoughts. I admire that kind of purity. It takes a lot of guts to go, "no, the original did it best and I'm going to stick with that" rather than brainstorming on how to make your version stand out.
Very true observation. Not to say that the cover doesn't stand out, because it still has its own identity, but it doesn't put its identity in showing off. Definitely a cover I'll be relistening. As a side note, this design philosophy is also why I love Bismuth Music's piano covers. They show a restraint and respect for the original piece that I really appreciate and that's really hard to find elsewhere.
You should consider covering either Dragon Roost Island from Wind Waker, or the Rito Village daytime theme from Breath of the Wild! Both are technically the same thing?? Just different executions :]
No way I find out you just did my favorite Zelda song. This is incredible. After the time since the last Zelda related one I didn’t think it was going to happen!
i used to sit in the windmill in ocarina of time for like 45 minutes listening to this, and this really just expands on the beauty of the original. your stuff always continues to surprise me, keep it up!
You deserve more credit for not only playing multiple musical instruments but for also editing them all perfectly in one video If I'm not mistaken there are a total of 12 musical instruments included in this video Truly a one man orchestra ❤👏👏 Keep up the great work😭👍
Luke, a few months ago, you told me that you planned to cover A Song of Storms... And now you deliver! Thank you! I don't doubt it will be a great cover (waiting for the premiere atm) :)
Man, you deserve so much more than you have right now. You have been doing this for 16 years and only have 300k subs, but your stuff is amazing. You can play every single instrument I can think of and more so much better than I ever can. You also seem like such a great guy in person, you seem so kind in the comments. You deserve so much more. Also, if I can make a suggestion, can you do the parasailing theme from BOTW? I love that song.
Congratulations on growing your RUclips channel Luke!!! 🎉🎉🎉, it is an honor to be part of it, thank you for your content and perseverance 🤗🤗🤗🎵 For more music!!! 🎶🪄🎉💪
This is my favorite song out of every Zelda track to exist. And you killed this cover! I really love that slow addition of more instruments, it really gives the vibe of heading into storm, weathering it, then coming out safely on the other side.
Whew, what a Bonetrousle bump in that graph. Congrats on immediately becoming my favorite cover of possibly my favorite OoT theme! The maniac doesn't miss.
Thank you for this cover! As a side project ive been using older Mida tools to make older sounding game music, and i was stuck on a bar-esque theme. I had been trying swing piano (which im not good at writing) with a snare backing but hearing the tamborine combined with the Accordian at 6/8 time signature REALLY gave me some inspiration.
Hear the crash, hear the roar Rain is falling all around Thunder, rain, and wind A song of storms begins Play a song, a melody Then everyone will see, A hero of time has come
Congratulations on 300k that’s amazing and sooo deserved!! 🥳Your covers have been my absolute favorite ones I’ve ever heard and seen!! All of the different instruments that go into each one and your editing to put it together is always so fun to watch! Whether I know the song or not, I always enjoy every one of them and I love seeing your passion and how much time and effort you put into each cover! 💗 And omgg, such a cool idea revisiting old Zelda covers! Hearing your improvement and growth since your first cover of this was amazing!! Even just from a year ago of watching your covers, it’s so cool to see your growth and I’m excited to keep seeing it as you continue! 🥰 As for Zelda music, I’d love to hear more updated covers of ones you did a long time ago and maybe even ones from Tears of the Kingdom! 🤭
Oh my heavens, this made me so happy. What a beautiful cover! I will be listening to this too much over the next few weeks. Fabulous job! Keep up the good work! :D
That was fun to listen to. I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants to hear you play Midna's theme, Kakariko Village, Midna's Lament, and Sheik's theme.
This cover was lovely!! It’s crazy to compare the older videos to the newer ones, since there’s just so much improvement!! I just get more and more inspired to pursue learning music with each video😄
Funny enough I just got these two games on my 3DS... Ocarina of Time & Majoras Mask 3D... Luke you do such a great at remaking these music pieces... Awesome job.
The creator when touring with this song, specifically played it over and over again adding more instruments each time. The point, a storm picks up moisture as it goes and get wilder is it moves. It is only after it finishes gathering and aquiring, does it finally relent. The ending being a perfect example, that just as fast as it comes, it's over.
I honestly find it extremely impressive that he can play so many instruments with such skill given it can take years to master just one. Great work. I would suggest sword fights on the heights but you do you
The Song of Storms is a good song, great choice.
I like the fact that it gets more intense, with more instruments, like a storm
🌩️🌩️🌩️
🍔😊
One could say… it’s a song of storms
You cannot hide from the world revolving cover
You cannot expect anyone to do anything.
Though in my opinion, if there's a song from Deltarune that has his name on it, it's Scarlet forest :p
@@mr_moss205Same

Scarlett forest would be pretty awesome but I personally would love to see hopes and dreams or your best nightmare

have you heard his original cover of it, went back to it after hearing this one and while it's old I still think it has something to it

Its weird how hard it is to find a cover that keeps the wind instruments in. I'm grateful.
ZELDA!!! Thanks!!!!!!
