had a question I have a 2001 caravan v6 the speedometer reads 18mph in park seems to drive ok. gave a P0700 code. since its reading 18mph in park would this be the out put speed sensor?
My sources say no. The sensor needs to pass across reluctor teeth in order to create voltage which in turn creates an ac voltage wave signal. that is how it knows how fast it is going. of course I could always be wrong about something, but it's doubtful in this instance.
Hey guys, I’ve had a similar issue with my van (2001) 3.3litr v6 I noticed that when I was driving, the van was stuttering and it seemed like it didn’t want to drive nor break and I was only going about 35-45km. I pulled to the side stoped and turned it off for about 5 mins then I started it drove normal for the first few seconds then it was stuttering again and wouldn’t go past 20-25km so then I turned it off and parked it, after leaving it turned off for awhile I started it and it cranked but then turned completely off in about 20 seconds , then the engine was stuttering and it seemed like it wanted to go but kept on stuttering the muffler was giving out some weird sounds…maybe bad fuel pump? Transmission gone bad ? ….if anyone can point me in the right direction on what to do….I would grateful appreciate it
Hey. Thanks for the video. I've run into an issue with a 2007 avenger transmission. The only issue I can find with the scan data is the transmission oil temperature sensor is constantly showing -3 degrees farenheit, but there is a o/d solenoid code continuing to pop up, but the resistance on the solenoid pack all checks out good. Is it possible that the temperature sensor reading incorrectly would be causing the vehicle to go into limp home mode? Thank you for any help you can give.
A typical temp sensor will read the top of the scale when it is unplugged, and the bottom of the scale when the wire is unplugged, and grounded, if it is a one wire sensor. Or vise versa. You probably need a good scan tool to read it.
I read it with verus scan data. Last night and first thing this morning, it was reading correctly. Took it for another test drive and it went back into limp mode and the transmission oil temp went back to reading -3 farenheit. When reading correctly, limp mode is off, when reading -3 degrees limp mode is on. Would be helpful to have Mitchell to have correct wiring diagrams to trace back to the pcm (tcm) to check voltages there and compare.
I have a 07 town and country. The transmission works perfect on drive but on reverse it doesnt work as it should. Sometimes i have to push it back when we park in a small inclined parking spot. Could it be a sensor? Thank you
Could you tell me we’re the neutral safety switch is on a 2002 dodge caravan 3.3 SE ...it will start but at times nothing , if I push the gear shift up , it will start..
My speedometer ic good, but my rpms jump up and down slightly, also it sounds like the car is shifting gears when it’s not supposed to. For example, I’m going 40mph and at around 1,500rpms it’ll change gears from 3rd to 4th, and then sounds like it doesn’t have enough power and then shifts down again, and then up, and one more time down and then it’s fine.
No codes? No fun. For one, it shouldn't be upshifting at 1500 rpm's. Unless I read that wrong. My video is about a speedometer that doesn't work properly. What does your problem have to do with the price of lemons on sale at the meat market?
